Just arrived in the Isle of Man for first time ever. It's alreeeet 😂

There is a guy on KZread who does travel vids and who ends every sentence with 'YES!' He certainly sounds like he hails from the Isle of Man. And another one on Quora who lives on the Isle of Man and walks from his home to the coast completely naked. Weird is obviously their 'normal'.

It’s part of the British Isles but not part of the UK (but sort of is from a defense point of view). Based on that alone it’s a bit odd. I think historically the locals have been perceived (or maybe actually were) a little strange, so the sketch is playing on that.

As a young person I always had the impression it was a fairly wealthy island. So I didn't find this funny either, because I've never heard of this stereotype before now. Must be boomer humour.

There are no Manx people. According to the Guinness World Book of Records 1968 the last Manx speaker died in 1972.

O.K. I used to like the Fast Show, but this bit on the Isle of Man is just nuts. Not funny, and not even shot on the Island, and certainly wouldn't encourage me to visit the place (unless I was lacking something in life) Sorry to the person who thinks it's a 'great advert for the Island' What? The Island is feeling the pinch and definitely not the place it used to be, and film clips like this don't help it one bit.
