As always a fascinating collection, Marcello. As I was watching the video I was thinking about how in nearly all of the photos we're seeing what might be called Marilyn playing/portraying Marilyn, acting in the public Marilyn Monroe persona. In a few of the photos by Richard Avedon and Milton Greene, Marilyn seems to be genuinely enjoying herself and I think we're seeing the real person not the persona.---The song choice for this video is excellent, so appropriate, almost painfully so, and the ending picture comes as something of a surprise, even a jolt. Some people might say that that Bert Stern photo of Marilyn is unflattering but Marilyn had editorial control over pictures of herself and if we're seeing that particular photo it's because she allowed it. It would be fascinating to talk to Marilyn about why she allowed it. My guess is she wanted to send a message about aging and about herself. Too it's an excellent photo, a portrait that could be called a psychological study; there's a lot to it.
