I agree with Jaby that I cared for characters in The Family Man. It happened to me after a long time. Sacred Games was good but not much intriguing like The Family Man.

No Jaby, there is no such rule to stand up during the national anthem, and it was not at all appropriate for those people to beat that guy. It's a personal as it should be to whether stand or not during a National Anthem. This is the point that was highlighted there and it was quite strategically placed and I and people loved that!

Actually it's actually illegal to not stand up during national anthem if you are a part of the public. If you are out of the crowd, then its your wish to either stand up and join them or just walk away

@@pirate4764 Pirate P.S No it's not. according to the Section 3 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 says, it's illegal if any disturbance is or interruption is done in singing of the National Anthem (that is if you disturb other people while they're singing but it doesn't restrict you to whether sing or stand during it.) also, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs, if the National Anthem is sung or played then the audience shall stand up but, if it is a part of a newsreel or a documentary or a movie the audience may or may not choose to stand. Get your facts right buddy.

Ajay.. please clear your understanding. The advisory states if the national anthem is played or sung "in a newsreel or documentary" then it's not mandatory as it will create confusion. However, it is mandatory to stand for the national anthem elsewhere. Saral bhasha mai samjhe toh : Newsreel or documentary mai agar national anthem gaya ya play kiya ho toh khade hone ki zarurat nahi hai. Theatre mai national anthem is a not a part of a movie. It is played well before the movie starts. Don't spread false narrative.

This right here is my favourite thing to watch !

Keep it up jaby even if I have already watched the whole series loved watching yours and syntells reaction waiting for all episodes reaction really entertaining

Watching the series with you is something that gives family feels ❤️

Sanskrit which is the mother of all languages has heavily influenced English, so much so that many words are directly copied from it. And Hindi was born out of sanskrit. Then British ruled India for over 200 years, so there's that influence too. So you are right the body language, punctuations, pause, prepositions etc are somewhat similar.

Family Man is one of the best series that you could watch as a marathon show and you do not regret even a single second of it.

I have completed this series today only and dude I loved it ... I feels real you feel connected and writing is so very well . And Manoj vajpayee he is brilliant . I loved that scene where he chases the man on aunty's scooter , that scene was damn funny 😂😂😂😂

Syntell is the right kind of guy....with whom you want to watch such typ of series!!! He is undoubtedly one of the best guests on this channel...

Happy that you and Syntell have watched it but Achara needed to watch this. I don't think she has seen Manoj Bajpayee's work that much if at all. She would have really enjoyed watching this...

Complete the series. It's just loved by so many people.

You are spot on when you said that if the nuances are scripted or done by Manoj. Now I wish you could go back and see GOW1 to rewatch some scenes which were not actually written but because of those small scenes like when Durga comes to take the bucket, when he goes to see his wife delivering and she throws at him, the look at his face all of these comes to him naturally. These are similar to the wave thingy you mentioned. This makes him better than many other good actors.

I'm loving binging these reactions. Just finished the show last night and came here for the reactions. And now I'm watching both these and Mirzapur reactions in parallel. I particularly like to see the West really explore Indian OTT shows that challenge the long set stereotypes. Obviously not implying that there is any prejudices involved here. Jaby and his team clearly understand what actors like Manoj bring to the table and how those little nuances in acting really flesh out the world in which the show is set and make it feel really lived in. Just wished for his sake that he knew that the show comes with English audio as well. Although it's not nearly as funny as the Hindi version.

The similarity between english and hindi is because they belong to same language family. It has nothing to do with the British rule if that was true all Indian languages will be similar to english which is not the case.

I watched the entire series in one day...the best season 1 after Prison Break.

The irony was that the guy of bomb squad is named "CHIRAYU" which means "one who has long life". Now that's some goss dark humour

I think this series is available in english as well. You wouldn't have needed the subtitles.

The later part of your discussion about hindi and english is right. English and hindi are Indo-Aryan languages thats why so much similarities they have.

@Ashish Choudhary Only Indian Languages has Sanskrit origin. Moreover Sanskrit was language of literature not the language of conversation. Sanskrit itself developed out of even older language called "Prakrit" which is not in use Today.
