Very good. Not your usual thriller. As an older, woman thinking back to those experiences, I see it as one of the most terrifying films I have ever watched!!! Growing up is terrifying, especially the adolescent years!!!

Great example of the psychology of mass hysteria. You see the same at these churches where people start falling down ''filled with the spirit'' and ''speaking in tongues''. The ''preacher'' will usually work the crowd up with singing, shouting and dancing and when an emotional harmony is achieved in the congregation then these things start happening. People feed off each other, sad thing is, that those effected believe it is ''real''.

Nonsense while there may be some fakes it’s biblical -speaking in tongues is not made up it’s in the Bible nor is the power of the Holyspirit.If you don’t believe fine but doesn’t mean your right and believers are wrong your narrow mindedness will absolutely not render Gods power ineffective

This is just my opinion but I think abbey was the only person actually ill from the beginning likely with an undiagnosed disorder and lydia went nuts. She likely attempted to abort the baby and had some sort of infection, or a seizure disorder, or brain aneurism due to stress. She dies. Well her bestie goes nuts and I think these fainting spells are really panic attacks brought on by mass hysteria. So lydia is basically having dissociative episode after her bestie dies, t hen coupled with the bad influence from the other girls she basically dissociates and has a panic attack or purely dissociative episode. It's likely she has a genuinely mental health issue as she doesn't know her father's mental health history. Her Mother of course did not help. The other girls simply were caught up int he anxiety of the moments and likely fainted due to not breathing enough/panic attacks after seeing Lydia's behavior. The only two sick girls were Lydia and Abbey. It's a movie about trauma, dissociation/mental health issues. Not a thriller or horror movie.

I'm trying to figure that out too I think she was pregnant but I think the other girl got everyone to jump on the bandwagon and make up like if they were Lydia I'm not sure I'm trying to figure this movie out

I think she had epilepsy and since she was pregnant it caused a seizure that killed her. She was young so she probably wasn't very strong. Her friend started the "fainting" spells but it was to mirror her seizures.
