They didn't just sell toys, they also sold the newest games, consoles, and game accessories. Not to mention if toys weren't a thriving market then other places wouldn't be selling Legos, Nerf guns, and so on. ToysRus can come back, we just need the right person to come along.

Toys R' Us was the best. I could get new Power Rangers and WWE action figures, a Lego set, a poster, feel nostalgic as I walked by the giant Thomas aisle, look at all the new video games, and imagine a water gun fight when I saw the Nerf section. All while my mom shopped at Babies R' Us next door

I remember when Toysrus closed down 😢 one of the saddest moments but only a few days ago I saw a small Toysrus which was nice

ToyRUs is still here in Canada like nothing happened and it's pretty cool!

When I was 5 and starting kindergarten, I was basically depressed because ToysRUs had just closed down. I went to it one time, I found the last Dalmatian plush in the store, I still have “Puppy” to this day.

Come to Canada. You may not feel nostalgia, but you will be able to visit Toys R Us locations because none of those closed. The place will feel old, yet new because the Canadian locations still stay up-to-date. As long as you can afford the trip (and likely documents to sign), you can have quite some fun looking around.

I got so many good skylanders there and because they had a match any price promotion I thought me and skylanders were the sole reason they went out of business

I still remember back in 2013-2017 going a lot there. Good times man… we will never go back to great times like before 😢 I remember just being so excited to shop around for toys.

the toys r us near me has been rebranded into another toy store

Toys'R'us was such a beautiful place for me as a child. I remember buying Legos, Cars, Kits, etc. So many things and always wished to bring my kids there when I would grow up. So unfortunate that it ended up like this 😔.

Used to go there once a year. I still remember the store layout it was awesome back in 2017. It was pretty sad when I went there as it was closing.

It’s very sad. I grew up with that store and my mom always took me to them. We had three in our area and one in particular was the one I always went to. More came later even. My mom and I went together to the same store one last time before it closed and took pictures with the sign. Now like the others, it’s a supermarket. One actually being replaced by an Amazon store ironically.

Toys R Us was my favorite store back when I was like 5. It closed in like 2017 for me. I'm in Pennsylvania but apparently other Toys R Us closed years after 2017. Btw they replaced it with a flooring company

I still remember walking into Toys R Us for my last time, not knowing that was the last Lego ™ set I'd ever buy there...

I remember that place, so sad that it had shut down. Good times, good times 😞

Even though my family moved around a lot, I remember going to the toysrus whenever possible. If one was near, me and my siblings would fight to be able to walk through that store. It was a legendary place to go to. I miss it.

I remember walking to the exit one time in ToysRus and seeing two different FNaF plushies on a lower shelf. My mum, asking me if I wanted one of them I blurted, "No, BOTH" Still sad to this day that the store is gone for good. Rest in piece memory lane. 😔

I remember and it was May 27, 2014. I went to Toys”R”Us with my parents and best friend at the Langley BC location. I went in and got my first ever pack of Pokémon Cards, and a despicable me figure for my friend. Those were the good old days. Nowadays kids want Minecraft and Fortnite etc, and all the shopping happens online for the most part. Now don’t get me wrong, I play video games but I miss the days when families used to go out to stores and interact with each other, or going out for a picnic and seeing loads of families. Now families stay inside not because of the parents, but because the kids are inside playing video games.

Same with here, I used to work at a rival toystore (ToyKingdom) inside a mall department store, and there's amazingly a ToysRus just a blocks away from our store. Kinda Amazing if you ask me.

Here in the Philippines a mall franchise called Robinson's bought Toys R' Us Philippines which is why it still exists in the Philippines until now.

Fun fact: You can now find toys r us in macys! I found one yesterday! But i do miss walking into toysRus on a daily basis.

Last part is sadly true I went over to my cousin's here recently where they're usually outside playing around with there toys riding their bikes all that but this time they were just sitting inside on their phones it was very sunny too
