Minecraft Story Mode 1 and 2 and Dungeons were great! I never got a chance to play Earth. I played 6 days in a row playing Legends and got bored of the terrible and hard gameplay, and I don’t intend on continuing playing it!

This video is kind of right, but Minecraft Story Mode was an exception. It wasn't anykind of cash grab or failure. It had one of the best writing for all ages to enjoy and it was a canon during 2014-2016. And for dungeons, it is a very polished game, the difference is majority minecraft players are free to play and they use low end devices, a large part is pocket edition players who still play on thier 2009 android phones. And many pc players also play on free launchers and low end pc. Thats why many players couldn't play the game to to hardship of cracking the game from anonymous websites and torrents. It also required mordern graphics to run. Thats why majority of the plauer base could not play Dungeons. Dungeons is a good game where mojang really putted thier efforts, polished it to make it a good game for 2-3 years atleast. And as for legends, it is probably proposed by higher microsoft managers, with a creation deadline of 1 to 1.5 year. It was intentionally made to make money, it has ton of bugs, bad graphics and it wasn't made by love. The one who is giving orders to Mojang currently, is going to be the downfall of mojang

Dungeons was successful as story mode & for some reason it still had its support discontinued 😣

I wouldn't really call Minecraft Dungeons a failure since that one turned out to be pretty good, and while I can agree that Minecraft Legends is very buggy, I actually enjoyed that game. I never got to play Minecraft Earth, because I was one of those people who didn't even know it existed until it was too late. I actually still have Minecraft Story Mode on my Xbox, and I'm actually still able to play it, but I don't because I think it's boring. but now that I know I can't install it again, I force myself to keep it.

Story Mode was a whole vibe, and inspired me as a kid. I loved the music, the characters, and the story. Yes I sometimes wished it was a bit more loose with gameplay, but it was really more of an interactive Minecraft movie than a go-anywhere-&-do-anything game. I wish you hadn't cherry-picked the one outcome of that friend-group-handshake that was meant to be awkward. And the sub-story they added with 5-8 was interesting, it's like there are multiverse implications when they find that hallway of portals.

I really love dungeons and legends! You have to remember, mojang cant just add crafting and mining to every game otherwise it will just be the same to Minecraft.

Yeah i dont sea a lot a peapole mention this but we all like PLAYING minecraft and im sure the devs like it to but not nececeserly MAKING minecraft and how just one letter misclick can end up making 10 bugs and even more by fixing those bugs so i imagine that just updating mc gets boring and the devs want to do something else WICH IS OK i know i dont allways play mc and mojang doesnt need to eather...but making the biggest game in the world they gotta know that if they make spinn offs then there annoying the communitty they first made cause there not updating there cash cow...but yeah cant wait to see the hell theyr gonna do mext

Look up a let's play of it, that's the only way I was able to see it years ago. Even though I did think one or two parts could have been better, I think it's got really cool ideas. The thing that almost happens at the end is scary if you think about it.

Actually Minecraft story mode was a really good spin off, which is why it even got a successor. The only reason the game became irrelevant/forgotten is because telltale games went bankrupt and lost all the licenses..

Story mode and dungeons where no failures lol

The only good ones were Story Mode Season 1 and Dungeons

Minecraft Story mode wasn't a failure it was actually a good game

Dungeons is really fun playing with different sets and making your own weapon armor and bow combinations I really enjoy ripping and tearing through the mobs and grinding some weapons

Correct me if I’m wrong: Spin-off ≠ Sequel Also, not that it doesn’t involve spending more than $20, but you’re able to buy Minecraft Dungeons together with all of the DLC’s for slightly less money ($40) by buying the Ultimate Edition of the game. Just saying.

Minecraft the base game is the best that's why it doesn't need shitty spin-offs

They need to focus and put more effort into the main game. Plenty of features from these spin off games are desired in the main game

I feel like the only people who play Dungeons or Legends anymore are theorists who just want lore.

Bruh I only play Minecraft dungeons is because I couldn’t get my x box running and at 2023 February I got got a Nintendo Switch so that’s when I got it so don’t say thing randomly it’s not possibly that’s why people play for the game for lore some play it for a break of the main game some play it since they had not gotten it yet (me) or some do for lore but don’t just say something like I feel like the only people play dungeons or legends anymore are theorists it’s really mean so please don’t do that ok😊

I don't think your review of minecraft earth was fair. sure, the game wasn't anything like the trailers, and definitely missed some of the stuff people were looking forward to, but for what it was, it was a pretty fun game. the way you worded it made it seem like it was just collect tappable, place on buildplate, repeat, when there's a lot more to it. the adventures were really fun in my opinion and, at least in my experience, the AR worked fine. honestly my only complaint is that the building system was a bit clunky. also, the argument of "mojang missing the point of what makes people enjoy minecraft" is honestly missing the point of these games entirely. the minecraft spinoffs are not trying to be minecraft. they're trying to be their own game, with the minecraft branding. that's why these spinoffs exist in the first place. still a very well made video tho, and ofc this is all just my opinion.

Hopefully, Mojang can improve on future Minecraft spin offs and not make them suck. Except Story Mode and Dungeons though. I liked those games!

Just to let the people who are commenting here know that the Minecraft spin offs are made by a different groups of developers at mojang they basically split into different teams the vanilla team the Minecraft dungeons team and the Minecraft legends team the Minecraft spin offs are not made by the same developers who work on vanilla they are done by different developers at Mojang most people just misunderstood things some people just hate the Minecraft spin offs because they think they a threat to vanilla they must leave the spin offs alone and to the people who say that Mojang takes long with updates because they work on the spin offs more need to do research before they think about making absubtions

I used to play Minecraft Earth and I actually had fun so I was sad when it was removed especially since there was still stuff I wanted to do in the game.

Story mode would have been better as some kind of cartoon series. Havent played earth. I really, really like dungeons, but its true it is quite short. Legends is good until the point you finish the tutorial (defeating the corrupted beacon base). I really like it's cutscenes, however gameplay after the tutorial just sucks. There is not enough features in it and it is too repetetive. Surely not worth it's price. Dungeons could have been a great game if mojang didnt cut support for it few years ago (I know there are still yearly updates, but I miss the DLC Era) Legends is a base for a great game, but mojang just makes it seem like everything is okay, ignoring all of player feedback. They should have released legends as early accesss in my opinion and continue from there.

Not really sure about Minecraft Dungeons and Legends as far as performance because Minecraft dungeons have been in the market for 3 years without any issues and telltales’ incompetence and as for Minecraft legends, it’s a relatively new game so we can’t go and make conclusions and say that Minecraft legends is a bad game- just give the game enough time man and then you can make a conclusion on it

Dungeons was ANYTHING but a failure. Just saying. Edit: I have never played Story Mode, but the numbers say that it was also not a failure.

I disagree with your idea that a spinoff needs to have the exact mining and crafting elements or it’s a failure. Hell, Minecraft Legends disproves your point entirely. It’s the game where you spend time gathering resources, exploring, crafting and building and it flopped harder than the rest. The main problem honestly is these spinoffs are shallow and just not great games. They lack an identity of their own.

Wish I bought the other parts of story mode

I actually really enjoy playing Dungeons and Legends, Dungeons is definitely more polished of the two and even though i really sont like the genre i still find it semi enjoyable I've never tried RTS games so Legends is a window of opportunity, the characters are cute too I've played Earth only a few times simply because of the microtransactions ruining it for me,, it seemed fun but there is no support where i live and i only just got an ar capable puone then Honestly, Story mode is the farthest from being a failure. I remember anyone who could play it back then did, the youtubers were in it. But it definitely dropped in popularity by the end of season 1

i don't think dungeons is really a failure it has a lot of players actually the only problem with it is the paid updates that they name dlcs which they are 100% paid updates everything in them is a part of the story (except flames of the nether) you can say that the normal version of the game is not full version the real full version is ultimate edition that is the only problem with it if you have all the dlcs it will be pretty fun and cool i didn't play story mode and didn't play earth too but i played legends and idk what to say about it ngl but dungeons is the one that i liked a lot it is really fun and has a big players bass like i said

For starters, you keep saying "sequel" when they're not sequels, they're spin-offs. Secondly I think you're being to harsh on Story Mode S1, Story Mode by far is the best spin-off and it's criminal no one can buy and play it, S2 on the other hand I will agree with, it's mostly forgettable.
