Dubai is known for its lavish living and some JAW DROPPING construction projects like the Burj Khalifa, the Frame, and Dubai Aquarium! The city is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world with an influx of nearly 16 million visitors every single year. Today we are discussing the famous World Islands project that was started prior to 2008 but never finished construction. Located off the coast of Dubai, the World Islands are a collection of small man-made islands similar to the Palm Jumeirah but designed to replicate the shape of world! We discuss a few issues with these lavish islands that were up for sale to private developers, including rising sea level, transportation difficulty, and what the current economic outlook is doing to Dubai's development.

Nothing appealing about Dubai and those who visit just want to see luxury items and skyscrapers. Boring sandbox

@@urbaninternational The topic itself was interesting but the city of Dubai just isn´t (at least to me). But since you asked for suggestions then I´d recommend the city of Hamburg. There are currently a few interesting projects going on like the "Elbtower". It won´t be finished before 2026 though. In the meantime you could look into the "Elbphilharmonie" (also in Hamburg) and it´s cost explosion from about 80 million € up to almost 900 million €.
