Nothing compares to the 60's especially when something as wonderful as this is playing. It's Groovy and totally Far-Out!!!

Could it be that J. Paris is the one doing the singing on this? It sure sounds like him. The flip side is an instrumental called: On the Line, it doesn't sound like J. and the Hurricanes playing. On the next Atila label 214, J. and the Hurricanes play: I Love You / Judy's Moody.

@@phantomblott1 Johnny Paris did form the label in 1964, so it could be possible that it's Johnny, unless there was another "J. Paris" in Johnny's family. Johnny was more known for his saxophone playing than his singing, but it is possible he tried to sing on this one. As for the song that doesn't sound like The Hurricanes, Johnny could have been using studio musicians.

While the British Invasion played a key part in these mid 60s garage 45s these bands owed more to the Animals, the Yardbirds, the Stones and the Kinks than the Beatles. (This song has obvious early Eric Burdon influence.)

Without the British Invasion of America, there would have been a lot less garage bands in the US. The Beatles, Stones, Animals, Kinks etc., were the inspiration for the countless garage bands that formed after the Invasion, and... 1966 was the golden year for garage rock in the US. Garage bands flourished from across the entire country, from ocean to ocean, from Canada to Mexico. They came out of the woodwork. Take care, me good mate

@@thomassmith8721 Hi me mate.The British invasion helped the US garage bands for sure . 1965 was the year for Beat group obscurities. 1966 US garage 45 s and 67/ 68 and 69 Psych records( both LP and 45s) that I've collected with the likes of the Charlatans/ Moby Grape etc etc The list is endless!. Still having YT problems occasionally so hope this makes it over.Take care me good mate.Rog.

@@thomassmith8721 Just been sorting thru music programs from the early 60s that I attended and found one where Johnny Tillotson was on the bill.In those days you could wander around to the Stage Door.Johnny came out in his Silver Lame" suit ( all the rage those days! ) .Had a quick chat with him and he asked if I enjoyed the show then he signed it with the words To Ailean( Should have been Eileen) a girl I was seeing at the time.Also found a 12" record . Dave Berry the crying game signed on the cover.Must really stop this name dropping!! Cheers me mate.Rog.

@@rogbrown1458 Your message made it. The Brits had the jump on Americans when it came to 60s music The Brits set the bar. That's what I believe. Rog, I hear more talk of Taylor Swift being compared to The Beatles. No comparison! Swift is a solo artist. The Beatles were a band. I'll say, Swift's ticket prices are utterly rediculous. The greatest rock and roll band, The Rolling Stones aren't charging that much for a show and they've been around since 1962. Time will tell if Swift's music is still relevant 50 years from now.
