Okay so lets get this right, there's no existing early copy of the acts of pilot and they're only contained in apocryphal writings which are known to be non biblical and written hundreds of years later, Is there any proof that the acts of pilot is the first century document. Do we have a copy of it, Is it referenced in other first century documents because all these are apocryphal writings, if you notice all seem to come around the second, third centuries onwards. So once again no evidence whatsoever that these accounts are accurate

In church they say that Pilate condemned Jesus, but if you read the Bible it describes Pilate trying to get the people to agree to release Jesus, and when they wouldn't he literally washed his hands to say that he was having no part in Jesus's death and that the guilt would therefore be entirely on the people.

I would like to point out that the Church does say that Pilate washed his hands, and tried to realese Jesus by telling the Jews that its there tradition to realese a prisoner on the passover feast, but he was scared, as Ciaphias was a very cunning dog, he black mailed Pilate, that he would tell Ceaser, the People choose Barabbas, and this i learned from the sermons that where held in church at a tender age.

Yes. I also agree with child sacrifice to cleanse myself of my wrongdoings so they can land on someone else who will take on the punishment that I deserve. I read his entire letter to Ceasar. In it I found a man who was overwhelmed by the job of Governor. I found a believer in Christ as the son of God. And I found his story of the crusifixtion and resurrection to be entirely accurate with the storys in the Gospels. To say that this did not happen can no longer be taken seriously after reading this third party witness to the events. Good Friday and Happy Easter to all.

Hell was created for the 1/3rd of the heavenly angels who rebelled against YHUH and sought to make s.a.tan their new king of Heaven. Of course, the attempted Take-Over failed (thankfully!). When people decide that they don't need or want to receive YHUH's Way of Salvation via His Only-Begotten Son, Yahusha HaMoshiach, (Jesus The Messiah), those people are making a cognizant, personal choice to live their lives without Him. They don't want YHUH to be their God; they want to be their own god and run their own lives the way they want to. They don't want Yahusha to be their Savior because they see no need of themselves needing one. They think they are good enough to get into Heaven on their own. But they don't realize that when you choose to live your life without YHUH and His Son, YAHUSHA, here on this earth, you are also setting the stage to live without Him when you die and Cross Over. There are no "do-overs". The only time you can change your mind and have the chance to ask Yahusha to be your Savior is while you are living right here, on earth. But if you don't decide to ask Yahusha to be your Savior by the time you draw your last breath, you will then get sent to the only place in existance where YHUH's and Yahusha's Presence isn't there. That only place where He and His Son isn't .....is Hell. The fallen angels didn't want Him and people who also don't want Him share the same fate. NOW is the time to ask Yahusha to be YOUR Redeemer/Savior. Tomorrow is promised to no man.

As you said the appearance physically of the Lord matters not, looks are but a thing of vanity to man. What matters most is that we believe on Him unto salvation, in anf through the faith that he has given us for it is by grace that we are saved, not of looks. It is with and by His precious shed blood that we are saved, cleansed, left without blemish unto eternal life which is the gift of God to all who would believe on Him. All who are looking to the skies for signs and wonders should instead be searching the scriptures, for it says that He will come as a theif in the night. Such do not forewarn you with signs of their immenant arrival. When Christ returns triomphant, , every eye shall see Him.

Nope Easter is nothing to do with Passover which came three days and nights before His resurrection. He was resurrected on the Sabbath during the feast of unleavened bread. The commanded 7 day feast that starts the day after Passover at sunset. It was this annual Sabbath that drew near so they had to get him off the cross and buried not the weekly Sabbath. Johns account calls it a high day. Which means it's an annual not weekly Sabbath

I loved the moments when Pilate stood up to Ciaphas, such as when Pilate had "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" posted above Jesus' head (as was common at Roman executions to post the person's crime over their head) causing Ciaphas to have a fit and demandedPilate to remove it. Pilate's response was, "I have written what I've written!"

Chris, the word "shocking" has all but lost its original meaning! Once upon a time it signified something so horrible it would shock your mind to think of it. Now, so many people, especially advertisers have exploited its "shock" value to attract your attention to a product; usually one related in some way to *_good_* health. These people should be strenuously called out for their literacy-cannibalism of the English language.

As a governor it would make sense that Pilate would have written a report containing information about Jesus, he was a significant figure who was crucified at the behest of Herrod

​@mchooksis He didn't create us like that, but we were granted free will and chose to defy Him. So He had to keep His word and we now have to live in this world and die. He gave a second chance and He gave us the law as a gift (if we would keep His law, this planet would be a great place to live), yet again chose/choose differently. So now we have to suffer in this life. Again He is merciful and He paid our fine (wages of sin is death). Now thanks to Him, but trusting Him and trying to live a loving life and keeping his words, we are given our third chance. But know that this is our last chance.

Pilate found no guilt in the charges they had for the Nazarite. Therefore he didn't want to condemn an innocent man. Good judge

Also Pilates wife had a dream and she warned Pilate. He listened to the cautions of his wife and must of known that her warning and dream was significant. Pilate’s message expresses how difficult this was to deal with.

This video has great value, because it opens a window into the most correct view and interpretation of all events during Christ's preaching of the CORRECT way of respecting the One and Almighty God. I would like to emphasize that so far I have read the ENTIRE Bible (not just the Gospels) more than 30 times - from the first word in the Old Testament to the last word of John's Revelation. No one forced me, nor did I do it out of business obligations, nor out of vanity. I can freely say that not a single word or explanation from the Gospel of Nicodemus was invented or arbitrarily added - because every last detail fits like a puzzle with everything contained in the New Testament and everything is supported by the details written in the "official" Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles.

My brother was raised Catholic and was murdered by antichrist as a martyr in 2018. I saw a vision in church pew on Resurrection Sunday year after he passed. Approx. three months had sudden vision seeing him being baptized by full emersion. He folded white cloth that looked like his shirt and handed it to his right toward the front a little bit. I think it was to Jesus sitting at right hand of the Holy God, Our Father. The devil always, Always loses, like the German Nazis. Always. 🎉

Innocent, yes. Sinless, yes. So many law systems in the modern times have Latin terms because they are based largely on such. Now just consider under what law system carried out the worst crime ever which was perpetrated upon an innocent man. Non-believers still think we can save ourselves or can't fathom why we cannot.

Many years ago I saw him after I spent 40 days praying asking God what is the true way to heaven. He appeared in a. Church for about 10 minutes whilst people were reciting the creed-I saw him looking very much like the shroud of Turin, and his hair was dark blonde (which is light brown) and it had blond bits looking sun kissed. His hair was wavy. His beard was the same light colour. His eyes poured love. His skin was golden brown. The shroud doesn’t show him exactly right because he was injured and swollen. He has that long nose. High half moon cheek bones under his eyes. Other people say they have seen him differently. But that’s what I saw. I believe now that the shroud is genuine. He wore a white robe and he wore red over it. His face was long and thinner than the usual painted depictions.

I enjoy this content. This one in particular was exceptionally interesting. Thank you. Having said that please explore your audio. There is an unsettling squeaky interference type sound in the audio. If this is deliberately please note it's unpleasant. If it's not I hope to enlighten you, so to speak, to it's existence. (I noticed it in other videos as well)

There's not much written about the appearance of Jesus for a reason, YOU are to know his spirit and become ONE WITH HIS SPIRIT.

I'm a tough guy ~ At 73 I've done so many life or death and cheating death things. I surfed all my life and now kitesurf and take some gnarly wipeouts so I know about getting beat up. The thing that has jumped out at me after so many years of THAT ~ is this ~ Jesus took a really hard hard beating. They beat him beyond recognition. He TOOK THAT BEATING and more and the ONE GNARLY Centurion said of him at the end "Surely this man WAS the son of God" ... I say that this Centurion saw the beating and how nobly he suffered. THAT CENTURION was GNARLY and saw much punishment... so he would KNOW ! Jesus went to his death with more courage than anyone he had ever seen in this disciplined centurion's long life of horrors and strife. Disciplined men know each other. This Centurion who witnessed the beating of Christ had the ultimate respect for him on a visceral level and his supernatural ability to suffer the torture. Impressions like that garner respect that no other kind of behavior can provoke. Christ was more noble in this than anyone else they had ever seen by far. He had a supernatural ability to be savaged and the tormentors were amazed one by one.. Pilot had to know these facts and they could not have been unworthy of profound hushed stoic respect . Stuff like this goes unreported as it's spoken by hushed awed men who all know they themselves would have broken after such punishment. THEY BRUTALLY KILLED HIM and then he didn' even stay dead. THAT's some comeback ~ they did this to one who didn't deserve it. They were affected by these things profoundly. When you see strength like that it's so impressive that the murmurings off it travel widely and in awe. Pilot did not want to kill Christ and when it was over everyone were astonished. Never in these men's collective memory had anyone ever been so righteous and good and they KILLED HIM!?! You can bet that there was some serious scuttlebut about it and it never ever went away. His message of peace and tolerance combined with how he stood in their presence with dignity and automatic majesty impressed the shit out of these men who lived in a very cruel world and they delt it out and could take it themselves. Nobody missed that event ~ it was their ENTERTAINMENT !!! You combine all that with three hours of very black unnavigable darkness mid day and a powerful earthquake and you got some shook up people who suddenly are searching each others faces for some Ideas or logic. Christ was not just some guy. The world has NEVER been the same after that. NOPE ~ After seeing something like that your solid perfectly sane tough guy will walk around in circles mumbling to himself. Yea People tend to notice that stuff.

Well said. These facts are so often overlooked. It was no walk in the park, it was no light weight slap across the face. He was scurged, whipped with such that tore the very flesh from His bones, it was a brutal beating. He was so badly beaten that He could not carry His cross and another was ordered to carry it for Him. And then when the cross was raised and fell into place, every bone in His body was dislocated. None have endured as Christ endured. Christ laid down His life for those who would believe. He laid down His life for none could take it from Him. He died to save His people, He paid with His own precious shed blood to redeem His people for the wages of sin is death. A price that no other could pay. Fascinating, It’s interesting that even the apostle John ended his testimony (the last gospel written) by saying “And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen” The early church fathers found it necessary to canonize the scriptures in Council of Rome (AD 382), the Synod of Hippo (AD 393), two of the Councils of Carthage (AD 397 and 419) in order to combat heresys that had emerged. Other writings were known and appeared but were not deemed necessary to add to what was agreed upon by the church.

I saw the letter over a month ago and it just shows how much authority Jesus had without even speaking a word.

Mel Gibson did an excellent job depicting the anguish Pilate and his wife went through in dealing with Jesus. That Passion of the Christ what an incredible movie. Just think about our Lord and Savoir coming back with an army to deal with those evil that oppose Him.

Even when the Lord walked as a man on this earth, his heart & love will never be matched by anyone, he stood between 5ft. to 5.5 between 100pds. to 120pds. & carried a cross that weighed between 160pds. to 300pds. & even after being scourged & beaten, before carrying the cross..he carried it over a half mile at the point of death, being beat every step of the way, the Holy shroud has shown all the wounds & numbered bones that are mentioned by David. Every human that walks this earth should get on bended knee & thank the Lord for all that he suffered, so we may have the life that we have, without our Lord Jesus Christ we would be nothing or have nothing...Praise be to our Lord & Savior. ❤

It's not a main point, but this videos narrator said it was probably added later because the Bible says he looked like the average person from his region. Galilee. What the narrator fails to realize is that there were different looking people throughout that region and the average person from Galilee was fair haired and fair skinned compared to the rest of the region. So although the Bible says Jesus looked like your average man from his area, the fact that he stood out while preaching doesn't discount the authenticity of this document. That's why it mattered. Not because of the message, but to see if the document was authentic. Which a fair haired and fair skinned Jesus does fit in with that time, even if the surrounding populations had darker hair because he looked like your average man from Galilee. In a similar way Guadalajara Mexicans typically have lighter eyes and complexion than their surroundings areas. This document sounds very authentic. We know Pontius Pilate had such trouble governing the region that some evidence suggest he fell on his sword when returning to Rome.

Pilates depiction of Jesus having blonde hair could actually be an accurate account. The ancient Egyptians regarded the Hebrew people as from the land of Amuru (Amorites) and have been depicted the Amuru people on Egyptian monuments red, blond, and black hair with occasional blue eyes. In depth look at historical depictions seem to point that the 12 tribes of Israel were diverse in looks.

In the military a SitRep is SOP after any confrontation/skirmish/ operation. Makes good sense that Pilate would have documented what happened, not only for historical documentation and as not to lose details, but also to C.H.A. In the event anyone criticized his actions. Also, Christ was given the use of Jesus' of Nazareth's physical body for his three years mission of being the Way-shower to the world and ushering in a new era. Christ was the fastest and first of the human race (through reincarnation) to achieve at-one-ment with GOd ie. attuned to god in Spirit. GOD is the Energy that is behind the Universe. This is a very good story about Pilate and his actions and his admiration of Jesus. Whether it is true or not. I don't know. I do know that his description of Jesus and his talk of his much serenity and calmness that Jesus evoked is expected from what the Gospels say about Jesus. He was hated by the Sanhedrin, Pharisees, the elite of the Jews in charge of the Temple at that time. I know I love Jesus before I read this, and I will Love Him forever. Those 'Elites " in Isreal today are responsible for many Jews rejecting Jesus Christ today... I had no idea how hostile some Jews in Israel really are...

We all have a God-shaped void, that we try to fill with counterfeits that only Jesus Christ can fill.. he wants a relationship and fellowship with us. He loves us and wants to spend eternity in heaven with us. We need to be sorry to God for what the Bible says is sin. Only once we realize we're lost can we be saved by trusting and the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He shed his blood for us taking our sins upon him, and he gives us his righteousness when we put our trust in his finished work on the cross, asking him to forgive us and save our souls from hell.

From this historic letter regarding Pontuis Pilate, it does seem that he not only knew of Jesus as a prophet, but that he also had communication with Jesus on a personal level, as he admits to testing Jesus in order to verify Jesus' apparent mission. Thus, having determined that Jesus was no threat to Roman Rule, his letter to Ceasar clearly indicates that Jesus was an innocent man who stood against the lies and deceptions of the rich and powerful in his day. His mission also included denouncing the pharasaical movement of the temple preists, etc., who were making themselves rich out of the proceeds of the poor, who often sought reparation and peace with God through the sacrifices they purchased. Jesus was aware that this preisthood was corrupt, filling their coffers with the money, gold and silver they amassed and using the money to buy up lands in Cyprus and other places, away from the prying eyes of Herod. The Pharisees were not only cheating the people, but Herod and ultimately the God they claimed to serve and worship. It is also hinted at that Pilate felt that in order to protect his troops and safeguard Roman interests in Jerusalem, he was prepared to sacrifice an innocent man in order to fully satisfy the sanhedrin and the preisthood of the day in order to prevent a potential uprising. So Jesus was elected to die a cruel death. Here of course is the power and intended work of God himself, who sent his Son Jesus to be the true acceptable lamb of God. A biblical fact tat introduces The New Testament narrative of Salvation and everlasting life to those who would come to believe and understand the purpose of God. And now, just like in Jesus day, the world is come full circle. The same corrupt practices abound among the Governments, and authorities, both in the Church and in Business, amassing great wealth at the expense of the ordinary people, who are being covertly manipulated and robbed by state and Church in a world of unrest, in which the promised return of Jesus is now imminent. This letter of Pilate speaks volumes and attests to the Truth that Jesus was and is a real person.😊

It’s simply dishonest to say there were no fair people in the ancient Near/Middle East: there were many. Esau and Jacob, genetic twins, were readheads. Esau’s ruddy coloring is recorded in scripture, and the very ancient statue of Jacob recovered from the archaeological remains of Joseph’s palatial compound, reveal Jacob as fair and very red headed, only sans the heavy body hair of his twin. King David is depicted as blonde in an ancient synagogue mosaic, and is biblically described as fair & ruddy. And the oldest remains of a Hebrew make ever discovered, dated to the 1st century AD, are of a man with naturally red hair. There is almost always this diversity of hair, eye, and complexion shades in caucasoid populations.

Having spent so much time in the gospels , i do think it sounds authentic, the romans were thorough in their investigation and reports , and this is how i see pilot observation of Jesus 😊❤❤

In addition to Pontius Pilate's description of Jesus a man named Plovus Lentulus also described Jesus with long shoulder length hair that was ripe hazelnut, straight and wavy at the shoulders, He had no wrinkles, average nose and mouth and blue-green eyes. Says more but the point is along with Pilate saying he looked different than the men around Jesus with their black hair. Jesus was born maybe not from the genes of Mary but from God in the image HE chose not simply typical of how people looked in that area at that time but to stand out. His eyes could pierce yet be soothing. Jesus would have been beautiful

Mary was not perfect for in sin did her mother concieve her. Therefore if Christ so of Mary, He would not have been sinless. The Holy Ghost was not a man, Christ was concieved of the Spirit and would have no need for any human part in conception. That which took place was a miracle, that God should manifest Himself in the flesh. Man has no part in God, Christ was not of the flesh of Mary for all have sinned and come short of the glory of a most Holy God. Therefore as I said, Mary would have passed on sinful flesh unto Christ and he would have all others been born in sin and shapen in iniquity. As is our salvation all of God, so was the conception of Jesus Christ God maifest in the flesh. God was made unto flesh, not concieved of the flesh. All the glory is unto and of God, man is no partaker in God's glory as unto the glory of the only begotten of the Father. The blood comes from the father, and the God essence of Yeshua is through the blood and spirit, thus He was untainted by man’s fall, and intact as part of the divine Godhead.

Jesus came to ke for 3 nights in my dream. He was a teacher and he was teaching the bible to me... he wouldn't allow me to look at his face. I tried, he said , don't look at me. He walked back and forth teaching me the bible. He read it from memory. His hand i saw, his skin tone is the same as the jews skin color. I will never forget that dream, he was so patient with me.. i prayed for God to send jesus to teach, and God sent jesus.

You are correct my friend he is from the Middle East the pictures that they put up on the walls in the churches is not correct he had dark brown to black hair it was very curly and I do believe it was probably short when people have met him and they describe him describe him he definitely had olive color skin. And that is why Judas had you kiss him on the cheek so the Romans knew who he was because everyone pretty much looked the same they were all Middle Eastern Jewish people

The problem with this document is that it makes sense. If it is a later writing, the writer had much insight. With such large crowds that Jesus drew, you can't tell me that Pilate didn't know anything about it until the day of the trial. That wouldn't make any sense.

In the apocrypha Pilate's wife had a servant who witnessed Jesus on the donkey and he returned to tell her other servants of the miracles he saw that day. Pilate's wife found out and had a dream about Jesus. When Jesus was brought before pilate the servant recognized him and bowed to him. The high priest Caiaphas ordered the servant to be whipped and the servant was ordered to answer to pilate. Pilate's wife intervened and told him her dream. Pilate was greatly troubled and wanted nothing to do with Jesus' death.

@DavidGirling - Thank you, I was about to say the same thing. Pilate didn't want anything to do with the death of Yahshua and did indeed wash his hands of it so that Yahshua's blood would not be on his hands.

I've often wondered about what the Bible doesn't say about Pontius Pilate's meeting with Jesus, so it's quite feasible that Pontius Pilate did write a letter to Ceasar. If the letter is the original then everything the bible says about Pontius Pilate the crucifixion is true. History has proved this many times

The documents of The Sanhedrin Court describe the skin, hair, eyes, height, etc. exactly the same way as Pilate. Both actually describe his hair as auburn but bleached by the sun. Grey / blue eyes. White skin but tanned by the sun. Tall & thin. A bit slumped in His stance. These Sanhedrin documents include descriptions by several different people in several different positions.

There is a historical truth to the situation Pontius Pilate was in at that time in Judaea. He was indeed short of soldiers and Caiphas was a conniving, shrewd Rabbi who felt threatened by preachings of Jesus. In the New Testament, it clearly states that the wife of Pontius Pilate had a very disturbing dream the night before the trial of Jesus. The following morning, she told Pilate not to do anything with condemning Jesus. It appears his wife’s warning weighed heavily upon Pontius Pilate for he tried to release Jesus and even washed his hands and stated to the crowd that he is washing his hands of Jesus blood and that blood will on the crowd. Pilate was afraid that of he released Jesus, there would be an uprising instigated by Caiphas, the head Priest, and that a very negative complaint will be filed by the Pharisees to the Emperor which would doom his position. In hindsight sight, Pontius Pilate should have stuck to his guns and released Jesus and prepare to quash any rebellion but his fear of losing his position and possibly his life, made him take the cowards way out of that mess.

Satan using soul recyclers we are all reborn there's even copies, up to 8 of each of us now because there's too many bodies the souls split. Death isn't real until the end where those who worship Satan experience the final death, real death forever. Of course this doesn't apply to Jesus he went to a different place, probably something to do with him being resurrected and then leaving earth after being dead for three days, If he didn't resurrect to leave his way he may have gotten reborn through the soul cubes instead but who knows if those devices work on godly beings like Jesus. So basically No this guy isn't already in heaven with Jesus he's here with us having been reborn again and again, waiting for judgment for the final death of Satan and for believers to ascend to their light body, a body not tampered with or genetically modified by Satan like these bodies. Eternal life and his kingdom, That's what will happen for the believers because they will be given bodies that actually work that haven't been abused and tampered with for generations. I heard of this before. I'm Christian Palestinian and our DNA is almost identical to that of the Jews as we share an almost common ancestry of ancient Canaanites; Philistines and Israelites. I'm often surprised to encounter that opinion which finds it strange to know that white and blonde complexions exist in our region's peoples. For millennia, we've had the southern European white tan. About 30% of our people are of white tan, speaking mainly in the northern half of Palestine. The sun does tan our skin but I'm white, not brown, and we have blondes and green eyes in our extended family. It is also known that there are two major races in Palestine: a whiter ancient Canaanite/Israelite/Philistine race, and the darker Arabian race from the tribes that existed there even before the Islamic conquests. And don't forget what the OT says about king David's complexion: blonde with beautiful eyes; where did he get that from, way back then??? So it's NO surprise when we find reports describing Lord Jesus as a blonde man with colored eyes; it's natural; native; we have it.

It's unimaginable what Jesus truly went through I cried when I watched the movie The Passion and I was blown away and cried that the Romans were so mean to him. He was beaten beyond recognizing him. He knew what was to come and today I will always get on my knees and thank Jesus for my sins I just can't explain how deeply I was affected when I knew the price Jesus paid for us all, his children.
