thank you for all the effort and trouble you guys go to to bring us this amazing information, it is so interesting and if it was not for you I would have been so much poorer in knowledge of this fascinating era and more - pity I do not live in the UK, I would have LOVED to work for the National Trust

My family has been 'Restigouche' River since the mid-1830s. They must have smiled when immediate post-civil war NY City wealthy arrived and followed the Salmon on migration and smiled even more when their fanstastically rich children in the next generation built fishing lodges with 99 year-long leaaes and engaged in the sport of 'fly fishing the ultimate aspiration of all elites till this day '. Curiously, all the locals knew the very best and easiest way to catch a salmon was to first hook a worm on a hook (an illegal act today, cast it into the pool the fished liked to hangbout in and haul in a meal in no time from the shore.

@@sheilacoulton775 Love Acadian history. It's been twisted so much since 1880. Years ago there was a website hosted by 'White', a Yankee LeBlanc. Focusing on DNA he claimed Daniel 'LeBlanc' was so named because he was the native son of a maiden & the Scot some of the expedition leader left behind while the chief of the trible visited the Baron in Scotland. A great curisioty is that because winter were long 'Daniel' had seven sons ensuring 'LeBlanc' would be the most common name in Acadia . . . yet even more curiously, and against all French tradition, it took more that three generations before a 'boy was born and named 'Daniel'. It's a comfort as I enter old age to imagine just how much 'back-pay' and 'compensation' the gov't now owes to anyone with that proud family name, but can't be troubled to fill out the application ; )

Timeless tale, one person "inherits" a fortune and IT'S MINE! Meanwhile others starve, probably the very same people who helped him "Make" all that money. Disgusting, and it continues today, worse than ever.

The second Lord was not raised correctly! His father failed to start teaching him about his future responsibilities & duty. If you are raised on duty & honor from a small age, you don’t see train wrecks the the Second Lord’s life. Pity!
