A simple steel Explorer 36mm is my last ever watch, but while flippers control the market, I’ll stick with my 24yr old Seiko Kinetic sports 200.

Love to see the poor Rolex which gets battered around a cave expedition. There's a reason cavers use cheap as chips casio F91-Ws which you can drag through mud, grit and water, smash into walls shove through rocks and chuck it once its had too much. Also minimum profile. Find me a serious caver using a rolex underground regularly and I'll eat my hat.

The Explorer I is the archetype of what a wristwatch should be… with the exception that a wristwatch should actually be able to reach people’s wrists…

Got my Explorer II, Polar Dial just this week, took me a year of relationship building with the AD but couldn't be happier. It is my dream everyday carry watch, just gorgeous! Worth it 😁, but definitely won't be taking this beauty in to any caves 🤣

I got mine in 4 months with no purchase history. Best to try mom n pop ADs. Mayor’s etc you are wasting time.

You should make a 38mm. steel Rolex Explorer (not the Explorer II). That size is rare in the brand. The 36mm. is too small, and the 40mm. is way too big, but 38mm. is the middle road between both, and still, a gentleman size. And also, you can make the bezel in black ceramic instead of steel. A whole new look, in a whole new size. Maybe next year 2023.

More likely to see someone in a pair of shorts up Everest and this watch adorned some lucky person at your local Waitrose.

Rolex needs to make a smaller version of the Explorer for the ladies! Especially now Tudor have dropped the Black Bay 32 Blue and black dials 😡 not everyone wants a two tone watch or diamonds etc.. disappointed with Tudor and Rolex this year.
