I hate all those media people who manipulated her and they try to say she enjoyed it ! How is a child supposed to always know when adults are handing them a snow job! Of coarse they want to blame the child for allowing them to do what they talked her into doing!⁶That way they don't get into trouble, which they should have been judged!

Society is like its okay for us to sexualize you but the moment you take control of your own body and sexuality you're the problem now.

I think Vanity Fair deliberately did make Miley's photo "sexy" to be controversial, to get eyes in their magazine. From the same disgusting perspective of people who idolize Lolita and other media obsessed with the "born sexy yesterday" trope, turning little girls into sex symbols. The same crap they did to Brittney, Christina Aguilera, and so many other young girls in media. She was a 15 year old girl who was used hy Vanity Fair, knowing the controversy would put their name everywhere. And the media blamed that 15 year old girl for it. The 2000s and early 2010s were so unbelievably misogynistic. There's nothing even wrong with the photo itself, if it was for her and wasn't being mass distributed internationally to generate controversy. For the time the photo came out, you can't tell me VF didn't know there would be backlash. It was intentional.

I remember when that Vanity Fair issue came out and all the outrage. I thought it was ridiculous because Miley was just a kid and had no control over it. She got so much hate, yet the photographer who chose to capture her that way barely got any. I understand if people were upset with Annie, or Miley's parents and team, or the creative team at VF, but all the backlash she got for something out of her control as a minor was ridiculous. Same with the leaked photos.

Yes, yes, yes. I think the photo is 100% not age appropriate. it's very "next to you in bed after great sex". But the "blame" wasn't on her. The issue around the leaked photos is just stupid, we all have pictures like that from that age, just teenagers discovering their bodies and themselves. And they were private! The fact that various media reposted them is vile.

Man she’s actually always been incredibly mature, well spoken and competent . Society is cringe as hell.

Miley is so intelligent and smart though, like god damn. I feel so bad that she went through so much crap when she was younger.

I've never had a problem with Miley. Her show was really the only reason I watched Disney gowning up and then I started to question and explore sexuality the same time she was "going crazy". As all these adults constantly judged, belittled and sexualized a minor I looked up to her. I literally can't watch fox news and never will because all they do is manufacture problems.

I would argue that the more a child is told "why are you sure you won't turn out like this?" "How are you avoiding being this?" The more pressure they will be not not act that way whatsoever to the point that when they inevitably do slip up they just accept that it was their destiny anyway. How can these child stars have a different path if there was never a different path offered? People cant look at Siwa and tell me that child stars aren't pressured to grow quickly and burn. She tried to keep her image and got blasted for it. Edit: I also dont know how the news was saying "she was manipulated" and "she should have known better" at the same time. They just came from all directions.

It’s funny that she said that people aren’t going up to high schoolers telling them that they can/can’t wear but that’s exactly what they do and they send you home from being educated depending on your clothes. I wore pants with holes in them and got in trouble. I’m sure we all have known someone who got sent home for wearing spaghetti straps. Miley has obviously never been to a public high school 😂

Miley was the first person I had ever heard use the term "pansexual" and it helped me learn that I, too, am pansexual. She'll always be a positive role model to me and the way the media treated her was disgusting.

I kind of by default assume all parents of famous kids are shitty people. I just can't reconcile what I think a decent parent should do and the lives child stars have to live

my mum has this exact "turn table" (hers is from IKEA) and I never though of using it (or a similar one) as a ceramic turn table for pottery thing... I love that candle project! It's definitely worth the DIY As for the table, I think the main this is to use materials you already have, and it doesn't matter if they don't match what you used here. Like, I know I have a couple old round marble table tops that could definitely be repurposed, so I wouldn't need to build the top, I'd need to focus on the stand part instead

They told her what she should say, they told her if the fans didn't like it, she had an obligation to apologize to the media ❤ She was a child and trusted these adults to guide her in the right way, They did not, They made her apologize for their wrongs❤
