What really shocked me was that this girl had been in China for 6 years and still didn't know how to find vegetarian food. If you want to eat any kind of vegetarian food, not only the Western "natural" vegetarian food, but also in 99% of Chinese menus, the two big options of "vegetarian" and "soup" are always displayed in the menu. If you don't want to be greasy, you should know which are the low oil Chinese cooking styles, such as"爆炒""清炒""凉拌" “清蒸”. If you want to do it yourself, you'd better learn Chinese because everyone buys food online and you need to understand what's on your phone. Also you need to learn at least one word "蔬菜" when you go to the local market.
