@@NizioCole They are actually super close in size. Starship (current design Feb 2021) is a little longer than the Rosi (50m for SN8 to 42m for Roci) but the Rosi has a larger diameter envelope (12m Rosi, vs. 9m Starship SN8). I'm having a harder time figuring out their relative masses.

Shohreh could give Sammuel Jackson a run for his money, plus her voice is absolutely amazing.

Wes is such a sweet guy irl, the way he interacts with fans with a big smile on his face, I can tell he enjoys the ride he’s on! Also Amos is my favorite character! The contrast between the two makes it even better! Same thing with Drummer by the way. Best show ever!

1st/2nd season Miller is one of my favorite character arcs. The 1st season in particular though, really hooked me into the show the way they weaved his investigation into the general story. And the actor really nailed it. I mean they all do which is what makes this show so great. Very sad to hear Amazon is not picking it up...a crew like this doesn't come around very often. 😕

The performance of Burn Gorman was definitely one of the highlights of season 4

@@kevirinmnjrs Alex and Amos are easily the best to me. Cas just fits his character so well, and Wes has done a lot of work to get his own favorite character, Amos, correct.

Cara Gee is like Stephanie Beatriz in that shes polar opposite from her character

Scifi has become mainstream and I am so happy about it. The fanbases are loyal and the last few years have really started to pay out.

It's always been"mainstream" ....

I avoided this show because it was on SyFy, they cancelled too many shows I loved and I was afraid of becoming hooked on a dead show walking. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I ended up watching it right before the 3rd season started and was hooked bunged the first 2 seasons and watched the 3rd live and was furious when SyFy canceled it. But hey amazon picked it up and I’m happy can not wait till the 13th.

Ben Daulton I watched an interview or was it a convention talk with Colin Ferguson from the show Eureka. In it he explained how networks and in particular syfy went about paying actors. Essentially the actors guild union has it that if a show get a 2nd season there’s a small pay bump, 3rd a larger one and 4th it becomes huge. So to get around it the networks decide up the seasons into 2 parts , like season 3a and then 3b, in reality those would be 2 different seasons but because they say it’s still the same one the actors, writers, and so on don’t get that pay bump. So yeah in a way you’re correct but in another it’s just a cheap ploy. They do have the money, only need to look to the 47 sharknados to see that, but don’t want to invest. The Expanse was a different animal from those because the show was entirely made and produced outside of SyFy and essentially leased to SyFy for live plus 3 and then leased to Netflix and amazon, I think, for streaming. If you don’t know what live plus 3 means, which I didn’t, it means SyFy gets all revenue from commercials or ads on the day of release plus the 3 days following. SyFy at the time it signed the contract didn’t think there was really a market for streaming so didn’t go for that.

The only thing Shohreh Aghdashloo came to say was "Motherfucker".

Yeah, that was insulting. Burn Gorman nailed that role. That final scene with Murtry and Amos, oh boy! Amos traveling to Earth carrying Murtry's pack: I wondered if it was a trophy.

They are all so well spoken and intelligent. What a brilliant cast. And I loved watching Dominique make little hooks with her hands.

I miss that mohawk a bit. :)

What a great group of people with a wonderful chemistry that bonds them together. Reminds me of the cast of Aliens during their anniversary reunion. They all fit together so comfortably!

I'm sorry but Drummer is one of my absolute favourites - who is this gorgeous, light, funny, charismatic actor, playing her??? Wow??? The difference is amazing and it goes WAY BEYOND the heavy eye make-up and serious face. What a talented actor!!

It had loved and despaired. It had fought and failed and won at great sacrifice. None of that mattered. It had looked for things that were missing. For people that were missing. Everything about it is drawn along by that fact. Something is supposed to be here, and isn’t.

There are popular locations that appear in different shows all the time, and are visited by fans for that reason. That scene with Kirk and the Gorn was filmed in a popular spot.

Amazing show and cast are doing great, love how the show is actually hitting point on things we need to deal with soon or have discussions about the future. So many shows try to be diverse and it feels forced, woke pandering (anything on CW and plenty on Netflix, for example) the Expanse (so far) does it in a way that made it feel natural and organic.

@Steve Sherman Naomi is very interesting. Even if Dominique Tipper was hired because of her race and haircut, that's not all Naomi is. In fact, she's one of the most complex characters on this show. I hate it when SJWs ruin entertainment but the characters of the Expanse have substance and are shaped by their experiences. As long as this is true, the diverse casting is neither here or there. I think Dominique does a great job, especially as she eases into her role. It's in interviews that she comes across sjw-ish, I can't argue with you there. But I don't mind too much, as long as that doesn't bleed into the show. I'm noticing that SJWs have gotten on people's nerves so badly that the mere whiff of them makes people flinch. If the actress doesn't sell it for you, there's nothing I can say about that. Just don't let your dislike of current day identity politics make you read too much into things.

@Steve Sherman The Expanse has 3 main factions, none of which is protrayed as absolutely right or wrong so I'm not sure why you feel that Belters are being singled out to score SJW points. That "fake accent" is called code switching and it's a realistic detail. I think Naomi is very interesting so let's just agree to disagree.

@Steve Sherman Of course it's used to identify the Belters. It's almost as if these fragmented groups born and raised at the edge of human civilization would develop their own language and dialects. You know, the way it has always happened throughout human history (and that's without taking into account the relative vastness of the Belt). But never mind that, let's disregard all context to say that this is a cheap SJW ploy. Code switching is not how normal people talk? Well, it's how I talk. Multilinguals tend to do that when speaking with each other. Are you fluent in more than one languages? I suspect that you're not, otherwise you wouldn't assume it's just used to identify mixed race ghetto dwellers (as if race has any significance in the world of the Expanse). Again, you're being needlessly anachronistic. In Naomi's case, she code-switches to fit in since a huge part of her arc involves finding out where her true loyalties lie. Just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean it's not a realistic and relevant detail. Not everything has to agree with your sensibilities, it just has to make sense from a character's pov. And this does.

Agreeeeeed..There's no "vote for me because I am a woman or I am black or I am mixed". It's all there but implicit, not forced it's natural. CW exaggerates in a way that you know it's forced, and I hate that type of show.

As much as I love some of the male characters. As a WOMAN .... seeing these STRONG female leads actually makes me teary. Naomi's intelligence, Bobby's heroics, Drummer's hard core, and vulnerability AND Chisjeen's just a fucking Queen- her performance is amazing and how ..... like literally how does she look so fucking beautiful and young? When i looked up her age??? Like what?? Love the ladies on this show!! xx
