The Execution of John Paslew. The Last Abbot of Whalley Abbey. 1537. Lancashire

In 1537, Abbot John Paslew was found guilty of treason against King Henry VIII. He was hung, drawn and quartered at Lancaster.
In this video we find the location of the Abbots supposed tombstone in St Marys Church, we visit the ruins of Whalley Abbey where Paslew was the final Abbot, and look at the gatehouse where his body was reportedly hung and where his ghost still haunts today.

Another great video Matt and Tom, enjoyed this one. Been to the Abbey many, many times over the years and it still amazes me just how many stories there are that took place in that location. Keep up the good work pal.
