PrecisionCore printing technology features a high-density print chip that's capable of ejecting up to 50,000 precisely controlled droplets of ink per second. The MicroTFP print chip, using high-precision MEMS fabrication processes, has been engineered to deliver superior image quality and drop placement accuracy that's compatible with a diverse range of fluids.
This series of printheads offer a high degree of layout flexibility and design. This suits many industrial applications: from multi-pass to large single-pass solutions. The S-Series, which uses an S-shaped design, allows the print width to be adjusted freely to achieve high productivity printing with the option of multiple colours.

Is there an ink expert here? In what extent (physical or chemical properties) are ink-jet inks different? I understand there are dye-inks and pigment based inks. But are the inks different beyond that from one model to another printer model, eg. inks for an ET-5777 can be used in an ET-6471 (I intentionally tried not to use existing model numbers) And I am not interested in marketing bs. Exactly what is different? if anything. viscosity? ...I can imagine color fidelity has improved over the years, but anything beyond that that would make the ink unusable in another model or brand of printers?

Hi, Epson has different models with dye inks, pigment inks and both of them (BK pigment inks and dye inks for the colours). Have a good day!

@@EpsonEurope You seem not getting my question right, Lets say you have 879 different models of inkj-jet printers. According to their manuals, almost all require their own type of ink. There can't be that many kind of ink, I was asking how many really are there if we don't count the physical appearance of the different cartridges, just the liquid itself.
