You're absolutely right about the Phoenix, folk. Aaron, like Bendis before him, has had no regard for continuity with his Avengers run. I get that retains come part and parcel with doing big stories, his haven't felt earned however.

I just realized, if this Dark Phoenix is the mother of this Thor and we are dealing with Time travel, What if this Berserker Thor is from a timeline where the Phoenix and Odin did have a kid and stay together? I think that would explain it since the branch universe theory is based in decisions made and a million years ago is a long time enough for another universe in the Multiverse to be as old as 616.

I came here from Comics explained comment section, and I'm not disappointed.

So how does this story connect to the AXE event giving how it starts AND how it ends??
