Very nice layout, I get a sore back from even trying to sort a few boxes, so having the correct working heights are nice.

It must have been alot of work sorting that but so satisfying.

Drawers look great. we're at 90K and using wire shelves. I can't wait until we can move to a system that allows us to slide boxes out. I may very well steal this exact setup.

I'm not selling cards but something I do for my personal collection is I put play sets of certain cards in sleeves so that I know if I'm building a deck that has say trekking shoes that I can pull four of them. It might not be best for foils but for not foil playables it could save a little bit of time because a lot of times people order only a playset

the old school/ public Library catalog title card in draw method is Tried and True.

Are these shelves strong enough so that you could stack them up with two of the Sektion Base Cabinet Frames on top of each other so you have 5-foot tall shelves? Also crazy that the Maximera Drawers with the Drawer Front are $90 together and you would need multiple drawers if you did this, so just one stand of 5 feet and drawers would be around $1K. Right now I use the large Whalen Industrial Racks from Costco. It gives me 3 shelves in the middle, the top shelf, and the floor. I can fit 10 4-row boxes and 2 2-row boxes per shelf so a total of 40 4-row boxes and 8 2-row boxes on one unit with the top open for storage of larger items. These cost $280 total. I'm currently using 8 of these. I'm always looking for other options that might be better but like the Frogtown Storage Units, the price appears to be higher than what I'd want to pay for the amount of storage space we need.

are these shelves scalable or would I need to make decision of how many modules I'd want to install up front?

As someone who has TCGplayer Direct... I struggle with moving Pokemon commons/uncommons.. what is a base price point to move that without doing this for free and for fun?

most pokemon non-holo c/uc outside of a few trainers are illiquid since they are not playable and not many collectors want them.

So I’m curious, there are so many sets and reprint sets in Pokémon, MTG and Yugioh. Do you limit how far back you go as far as what cards you carry? Like do you only carry cards printed in the last 5yrs or is it more like you’ll carry/sell anything that comes into the store. (I assume you buy cards from clients as well) Also, when a new set comes out how much sealed product do you open to have singles available? Or do you wait for people to buy sealed and eventually sell back bulk. Love the new shelves, looks super clean. Looking forward to your next video.

Ideally it's based on sale's velocity. You want to stock what moves regardless of how old it is. Likewise it may not be worth taking up space on a set like Alpha or Beta if they aren't going to move much. Getting that data can be tough for a lot of stores but tcgplayer has some reports for what's moving and what isn't.

hey Clay, we leave them blank because we find it just isn't worth the time to write on them or make labels.

Actually having drawers with rollers is such a huge gain in efficiency vs pulling boxes off of chrome racks or worse not pulling them and having to reach back into them. I'm curious how you keep cards alphabetical without a name on the tags? Do you insert new dividers when needed?

Love the look of these drawers. Beats my gigantic steel industrial shelf in my loft lol. Am I understanding right that one drawer case can fit 3 drawers? Or can it fit more? So essentially 1 drawer case + 3 drawers + 3 drawer fronts is a set that can hold 6 5 row boxes?

it can definitely fit more, but you'd be so close to the ground that it wouldn't be very comfortable to get use on a regular basis.

Geez, I can't believe how expensive that simple drawer is. Holy .... I can't believe that just the drawer facade is $28.

Does anybody make a slightly more robust version of that bcw tray ? I feel like I would pay a little bit more for plastic cardboard just erodes over time

I’m 6 foot 8. How could I safely make them taller with more drawers And is there enough clearance between the drawers for the Tall BCW Dividers?

You may want to look into the previous set up with the taller towers - they are 80 inches tall and had room for 8+ drawers

it goes in the plastic container with the plastic liner at the end of the counter.

Seems like a divider for each card is a little excessive, unless you have 10+ of each card. I think I would do A-Z cards instead.

You can tell when mason is super excited about something because he repeats himself 3x when rambling. 😂😂 I know this because; I repeat myself too when I’m excited. If this was me telling my friends about this set-up, they would stop and ask me “hey wes are these ikea shelves?” (Just to be dc!ks to me)
