The club pays money to the council every year for the leasehold of the ground. The owners have invested over a billion on the local area.

@thedean4431 Well they might have to buy another plot of land for a smaller ground when they get relegated from prem when they get found guilty for all them charges. Then your attendances will drop down to where they were before they took you over & most fans will return to supporting Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal & Chelsea. Oh, and Newcastle now they have money!!

Guess you guys don't know the stadium is owned by the city council and is rented out to the club. Yup, Sheikh Mansour is just a council tenant. The stadium itself was built with public money to host the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

We really do have the best owners in football!... they care about the football side and also invest in the whole area to the benefit of locals via amenities and jobs.... We truly were blessed the day sheikh mansour decided to come into our lives!!! 😁

This is so interesting, I Cant belive you City fans! (sorry my english Im from sweden) Your owner is a royal dictator family! They totaly ignore human rights, in many places child marriages are still in use and accepted by your owner and by Man citys director.. Your own goverment are right now investigating his involvment in helping oligark hiding there money during the war on Ukrane.. So the rest of Europe is fighting for Ukrane, and Man City owner is helping Putin.. And everybody knows that he does not care for City or fotball at al, the only reason he started the city group and ownes all these clubs including City is sportwashing. So when you think of his country and family, instead of thinking of violation of human rights, child marriages, helping putin etc you should think about Haaland, Pep and CL. As a City supporter, are you OK with this? In sweden City used to be a very popular team, but now fewer and fewer peaople wants to be associated with them. (and I havent even sayed anything about all the economc problems that have accoured in all the clubs that city group has bought). Dont you want to be a English club again?

more empty seats for show

A member could purchase up to 4 tickets and a season ticket holder can purchase 3 tickets for the Brentford game the other night, city were still advertising this for that game right up till kickoff, the question is why are they expanding when they are finding it hard to fill the ground as it is ? City expanded a few years ago when there was no demand, what is the point?
