The Es Trenc alternative | Sa Ràpita beach | Mallorca, Spain

Where do local people go to the beach in Mallorca?
We used to wonder. Now that we’ve lived in Mallorca for two years, we’ve started to blend in with the locals and so have our beach choices.
Forget Calò des Moro, Cala Pi, Es trenc, Cala Llombards or Playa de Formentor, and the list could go on. They all look amazing, don’t get me wrong! But the august tourism peek is probably not the best time to enjoy them.
The perfect choice is Sa Rapita, a beach in the South of Mallorca with the nicest white sand and incredible waters. This beach is perfect for families with kids, but couples can also find a quiet spot by walking a little further on the shore. Sa Rapita beach is among the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca and it’s one of our favourites.
To make our day even better, we started it off with an amazing breakfast in Palma de Mallorca.
Thomas Bakeshop Boutique is an artisanal bakery based in Mallorca.

We wanted to try it for a long time and it didn’t disappoint. We especially recommend the pain au chocolat. Probably one of the best croissants in Mallorca!
