Russ was one of those Sound Cloud artists who forged his own path. Funny thing is, my homegirl who is 45 years old, put me on Russ in like 2018... maybe even before. She would send me clips from Sound cloud. I was like he's nice but nothing stands out about him. Then another one of my homegirls send me Chop 3 a few years ago and that was a game changer for me. I was like, this that SoundCloud guy, he's really out here doing it. I'm proud to see guys like him, Joyner Lucas, Keith Wallace, Deante Hitchcock, Reason, Morray, JID, Earthgang, Lute, 6lack ... all from them SoundCloud Era days, really growing and grinding.
