Ok as a former florist (12 years experience) Green Flora Foam known as Oasis is for fresh flowers NOT artificial flowers. Green floral foam doesn't hold up well with artificial flowers. Use Styrofoam for artificial flower arrangements. You can dip the stems in white glue or hot glue.

There is brown coloured foam for fake plants too. I react badly to foam, my skin cracks and peels so I use styrofoam myself.

I’m from Western Australia and plastic flowers are NOT cheap here. You’re looking a minimum of $8 each stem! Most of them are a lot more expensive.

You remind me of my neighbor...spraying her roses for bugs with whatever poison she used on a most windy day. Next day i went to my garden and just about all my vegetable plants were yellowing. Whatever she sprayed infected my garden!. And i am strictly organic. I was so mad!

I have a3 tier vegetable hanging basket wonder if I could do something with it .Nope I am going to keep it for my onions and bananas and potatoes.Akso put banana's with my onion and they stayed perfect without black inside or outside yummy.

What you consider junk, is beautiful and brings joy to others. Also,a lot of people are employed at the stores where this stuff is purchased so making all this stuff helps give jobs to people. If it's not for you, don't do it.

It's more about the throwaway society, things are not built to last and you have to buy them again. I must have bought 4 toasters in the 27 years I owned my home, moved in with my parents to take care of them and there was my grandparents toaster that we are still using🤣 I live by the old motto, Use it up, Wear it Out, Make do or do Without, something alot of Americans don't know how to do as we are the most wasteful nation in the world as well as making the most garbage but hey we're #☝️
