I wish there was a better way to promote your maps..epic needs like a random pool of unknown maps to be featured for like 24-48 hours or something to help people find others because a lot of the stuff on the featured page kind of sucks

i would say early creative was heavily carried by PvP maps like boxfights, buildfights and zonewars all the way through till UEFN release. i know this video was more about the map creations but think its worth the mention for sure, especially during battle royales low points like ch2 s1

Epic has all the money in the world to make a better algorithm, the only cost really is time for them.

I recommend, to get more views. Add expressive language to the title such as “rise and fall” or an contriversal caption in the thumbnail like: “what it could have been!” (Ur editing is really good btw just a title and thumbnail improvement is needed if you want this to blow up😁👍)

Build an audience on other social media like youtube or twitter or tiktok or whatever if you can, as big as possible. That's my advice. Discovery doesn't have the ablitity to that (yet), even though it's built around really having an audience already with the way the algorithm works. Having players who you can say "hey go play this" to who know you/like what you do is huge. And start as early as possible too. That's something I'd wished I did sooner really. Plus also just marketing your islands EVERYWHERE or with a unique trailer or something is another way.

Players werent paid for their islands, so there wasnt an incentive to create a lazy map. People were more creative out of passion
