Both😂😭😭 I literally have had Jenna in my life since I was 11 years old making me feel better on my days and months when I felt like trash and was trying to be a better person I would always try to model myself after her and try to be better and now that she's not around my days and months where I feel depressed and s***** anymore it's harder and I just have to watch old videos and I feel bad that we made her feel that bad that she had to run away from us or make an excuse to leave the internet instead of just telling us that she was tired of doing this for odd close to 15 years

She got her money and split, she was never having a break, she split, it's been 2 years, she can't come back now if she wanted to which she doesn't. Let it go, move on, she has. She is a multi millionaire, she's retired forever. She no longer needs her fans. She has never once tried to contact the folks who paid for her mansion. She never cared about her supporters. She ghosted them. Took 4 dogs away too, heartbreaking. She was under the impression SHE was unproblematic.... Then she took a stand millions of white supremes did NOT approve of so, she stood up for BLM, pale folks exposing all her Problematic videos. She split. She took the loot and ran.

The one KZreadr no one wanted to leave, but she like, actually left.

agreed... Anyone that has been targeted by the social marxist pushing identify politics knows its usually easier to just "exit stage left". The hate filled evil of humans and culture is more scarring then anything. Intent and meaning lose all context and it comes down to "illegal words" or "illegal actions" in a constantly changing see of social contracts. Those social contracts change day by day; month by month; then they apply them to history and use the new rules against you (that they just made up last week). I keep hoping more people standup to these bullies; but it looks like that is not going happen anytime soon.

I hate that she’s still attached to “blackface.” Others on this platform are more than guilty of it, but that video originally referenced was a bad tan. She literally worked at a tanning salon when it was filmed and it’s clear her whole body was the same color in videos before and after the one accused. Either way, she owned her past mistakes and she was one of the only genuine KZreadrs left. She grew with us and showed clear understanding, responsibility, and humanity for her mistakes. I miss her terribly, but I hope she’s living her best life!

It wasn’t even a mistake. That’s why she left. She had nothing to own up to and she wasn’t going to play by herself he rules this toxic work culture has established, but she also had no interest in opposing it because it’s a pointless fight and won’t make you happy. So she took her ball and went home, and now she’s happy. Badass.

I hope there was some other reason for her disappearance, maybe stalking, maybe burnout. She definitely didn't deserve any hate for that video.

Jenna deserves the best, she was one of the first KZreadrs I ever watched and her content always made me smile. I'm glad she's taking the time for herself, and even if she never returns she has a lot of love here

This story is a perfect example of why we can't have nice things. She didn't even do anything wrong, people just threw a fit over a nothingburger and made her think she was evil.

I don't think it was even that. She saw other content creators losing everything for doing racist jokes. She remembered she did a bunch of racist jokes. She knew what she did was wrong. She publicly held herself accountable before she was in the spotlight, and got out while she was ahead. Also, once she was out, she stayed out. Her private life is probably better for it to be honest.

@@JumpingTuna and a great example on why we can't have nice things. Maybe spend less time cancelling people; comedy and satire is about finding the edge. If you get offended; turn it off. Luckily we have people like chappele and others pushing against talentless marxists forcing everyone to comply to their version of "ok". Going guess you railed against tropic thunder also... Disgusting; go ahead and point out in history where the censors were on the right side. Be a bit mindful/thoughtful on what you are supporting.

I love her so much and I’d love to see her on the internet again BUT I also love that she is able to live her best life, completely offline. I have to imagine it is so liberating and I love her just as much as before

She was truly, TRULY funny and she seemed like a really nice person. She deserved better. I'm glad she has moved on and is now probably happier.

She wasn’t cancelled. As a psychology major over her comedic personality she chose to take down videos like the nicki minaj, lady gaga, & many others that people started watching that they found “offensive”. She took the high road and even apologized also she never did black face. Its the new generation who cant handle jokes or sarcasm and she did not want to deal with it. The comments were out of control from new idealist people who just would not stop. I don’t blame her for leaving the platform. The harassment was to much. She was a youtber that was actually funny, and had original content. Now people just repost peoples content for content. Hopefully she will come one day!

I really feel that Jenna started to become disillusioned with being a “celebrity” for a while before she left. if you go back and watch her videos or the podcast she did with Julien, you can see that in the months leading up to her departure, she seemed less into it and it seemed less enjoyable for her. obviously this is just from someone who has been following her for quite literally a decade, and a parasocial analysis, but I wasn’t super shocked when she made the announcement. I remember thinking months before during one of the podcast episodes that it didn’t seem like she was having fun anymore :( maybe it all just came to a head and she decided at that point, in which her apology was certainly owed for some of the “jokes” in her older videos, as the way to “get out” so to speak, or time to move on. The internet is not at all what it was in 2010 when she started, maybe she felt it was time to move on. again, certainly just one person‘s opinion, and it really doesn’t matter because she’s gone now (and hopefully happy!). And sheeeeeesh do I miss her lol

@@singinghotdog The racetrack hair video was definitely one of those nails in the coffin. She was exhausted and still felt this need to post for the fans, and that was kind of when I knew she would eventually be leaving, whether it was for a vacation or a permanent career change

Can't blame her when the entire internet was attacking her for something she didn't even really do.

It makes me so sad bc I watched her videos as soon as she posted them. But I understand leaving and not coming back, especially if it has treated her better. Just wish there were more KZreadrs out there like her, not striving for the money, just striving for her fans happiness and her own.😮‍💨

Watching this because I just saw Juliens new video collabing with Holotaco. I went on a Jenna Marbles binge, and found myself sobbing. I miss her so much.

Most of her videos are marked private now and its depressing. Her videos helped me through some rough patches and now they are gone.

this is honestly so absurd it actually almost feels like satire. The sad thing is seeing people even having to describe in detail what should be blatantly common sense. this isn't the result of people thinking and reasoning, it's the result of a whole bunch actual useless human beings coming together to collectively attack someone, so that the person can beg for their forgiveness. This is what those people get out of it, it satifies them because they have control over another person, and they get to sit behind their phones and computers watching it unfold, it's control

Jenna had a long and successful youtube career. She made a fortune. She clearly got tired of the nonsense and the pressure of making a weekly video. She doesn't need to come back. She's a cautionary tale: be decent to people, especially creators you like. They might just take you up on your suggestion that they disappear.

Honestly if you watched any of her content or did at the time of uploading, there was never any I’ll intent and it was not an ongoing thing with the content she shared. I’m so sad that there’s no more new Jenna snippets. But I am Happy that she’s living her life not under a microscope just being happy Jenna.

The reason she was canceled in the first place was because people got upset that she took down the racist video she made in the past instead of acknowledging them. In her video, she talks about how she knew what she did was wrong in those videos and decided to take them down so that they could no longer influence other people and do harm. But the reason people canceled her was because she did this instead of openly making a big deal about it and making a public apology that way. That’s why she left because she did the right thing by taking them down but the Internet still wasn’t happy because they wanted her to make a public announcement about it. Even though the reason she didn’t was because she felt like that would bring more attention to those past negative videos.

I pray she is actually doing okay mentally and physically. The internet is a horrible brutal place. I absolutely loved her.

don’t forget all the amazing work Jenna and Julien do with GreySave! Many happy puppers have come through their home and found their forever families thanks to their participation in foster programs!

Her & Julien got married a little over a year ago! He shared a couple of the pictures on his 2nd KZread channel (I think it's just Julien2 or something like that) & she looked so happy! I miss her, but if she's happy & living her best life, then she should keep doing what she's doing!!!

Never heard of her until I was introduced to Julien's Twitch channel in 2023. I was surprised she has been offline for this long.. people in Julien's twitch chat talk about her like she left a couple years ago. Her and Julien recently got married, so yes she is living her best life offline.

I hope she is happy but she really never deserved all the hate she got considering other KZreadrs have done way worse and are still allowed to have all their platforms. Forever hoping she is happy and living her best life.🥺❤️

This is one of those cases that are slowly making "black face" irrelevant. If someone is being pressured to leave the internet because of a bad tan while doing an impression of a popular celebrity that's the part that's not ok. Refusing to acknowledge the context of time time the video was made (having a really dark tan was in style), is not ok. Glaslighting someone into believing they did something racist when they didn't, is not ok. People need to grow up, let the past go, and realize that at some point a choice is made to be offended over nothing and that is the real problem here.

@@Skenjin oh it would still exist, their are definitely cases of people who do things with the core intent of spreading hate and/or harmful misinformation and those people deserve to be canceled. But this isn't one of those cases. In the early 2000's having the darkest tan possible was apart of the "popular" look, especially in California. Frankly if Jenna is being canceled for this why has no one gone after girls in Japan who follow the Gyaru trends? Which yes, is heavily based off of the fashion trends in California in the early 2000's, the style trends that Jenna herself followed at that time.

To be fair, the last year of her on youtube she was really just releasing things as a form of income. It was obvious her heart wasn’t into it anymore because of how erratic and random her content was and she took the opportunity to leave before the cancel mob would come for her.
