Wow. This totally disregards most of the canon Irken history, or rather takes massive liberties with it, but I'm honestly really impressed with what you've done with this. It feels like a Star Wars intro summary that just goes on for the entire movie. Love it.

Yeah I mean it's crazy how with a show like Invader Zim something that doesn't really seem to have much lore or even emotional stuff The history of this series has lore and emotional stuff like for example where the Irken race came from and the fact that Mux became a really bad person because his brother got killed in front of him and he was given loads of trauma throughout his brainwashed youth. I know that Invader Zim was never really meant to be an emotional series it was just meant to be a dark and cynical show for reasons obviously, But I just love how the fandom makes a lot of fanfictions and lore that contain a lot of emotional stuff going on when in reality Invader Zim is not really an emotional series.

If there was an exam focusing on this entire video and the Irken Outcasts series, I would definitely rewatch all those videos so I can ace it easily without hesitation. Studying for an Irk History exam is way better than actual school exams.

I'm gonna be honest. I really like how thought-out and detailed the history is! It makes me feel like there's more to Invader Zim than the comics, movie, and TV show have brought to us. The Irken Outcast series itself is an amazing aspect and a well-written out fan series! I look forward to see more of the series, and if you would like me to help, I would be more than happy to! If not, then I will enjoy the series anyways! ^^

While i'm glad the video is finally out there so we can talk more about backstories instead of being vague, please ! get some rest. I love the script and hopefully people will love the final product as well! EDIT: I really liked it! You really did a great job at explaining the unique timeline and events that happen in the story along with each character's backstory! I can't wait to get episode 4 out it's gonna be a blast hahaha !

I love that comic! The creator of the Invader Byr comic, 0rbis_art, was actually the one who created Mux and Cik’s designs. I commissioned them! That’s probably why they look familiar to you :> Also sorry about the headache- This video was a parody of “history of the entire world I guess” so it was intentionally very fast

@@Rainbott Ahah, I know, I recognized the references, and the headache mention was only an exaggaration for comedic purposes, I don't get headaches often. Ooh, so that's why the artstyle looks similar, okay! But I also meant the fact that Byr is literally a yellow-eyed bespectacled little Irken, and his friend is a taller purple-eyed badass who has a weak spot for Byr and Byr only. I don't know if this is the same dynamic, but from their character history, I imagined it pretty similarly.

@@cawareyoudoin7379 I thought Byr was purple, cause I made an animation of him a while ago, but I’ll have to revisit the comic to check... Also, the character dynamic is based on my old characters Dexter and Vivian (yet those two were a couple while this is a father/son dynamic) and you can check out those characters in my stream of DOLBRquest, which I wrote aaaaages ago so it’s kinda lame lol

I like all of this story and lore - is it okay if I use it when talking about history in personal IZ fanfiction?? I'd only be referencing all these ocs and characters in past tense if i do use it but its nice to actually have something that makes logical sense to connect dots in my story with the issues that crop up from the history of the Irkens.

I have now watched a couple episodes of invader zim Good show 10/10

all I learn from this is that Red and Purple are ooooooooooooold

I can't wait for Zim's past to make a come back both with his family from Rise of Zim and his space friends. But both backstories explain we Zim caves acceptance when he mysteriously losses the people that raised him and his friends were lying to him and everyone else does give a shit or hate him.

In an alternate timeline we would've gotten 5 more seasons of Zim and therefore, have so SO much more lore to work with...

A few thoughts I had: 1. I can't wait for the Vortian Queen's kid (Emi, was it?) to show up. They seem pretty cool and they're very right about their mom (also, as an enby myself, I have to take interest in their general existence) 2. It took until Zyl was shown in his current state for me to connect the dots on who he was but the revelation was great 3. ...Mux is MARRIED??? First of all, dangit. Second of all, I won't lie, they seem pretty dang cute. Can't wait for him to potentially find his husband again 4. [pats Mux on head] This dad boy can fit so much trauma in him (seriously, ffs someone give him a hug...) 5. Tallest Zuu (Zhu? Zoo? However he spells it) has caused SO many problems but I still feel kinda bad for him. Maybe it's the vent gremlin thing... I do love Entrapta a lot... 6. Ryo: [wanted to be singer] Me: Oh OOF 7. I have several... "choice words" for Dan... Many of them profane, most of them violent 8. Seriously though I would love to meet Cik's other dad. And see him acting as Cik's other dad 9. The moon royals... I just... I love celestial aesthetics, okay? 10. I love that I now understand Norman's general existence that was kind of a meh point for me before now 11. Andy sounds great he's like a living Chuck Norris meme and I love that 12. "Oh yeah, and Taz is actually the last remaining actual Tallest" Wait, she's WHA- holy crap I love that 13. Upon the bleventeenth "which totally isn't gonna wind up biting them in the ass later..." I started entertaining the thought that making this into a drinking game would kill more people than the ass-biting itself, but let's be real, that's probably a *really* high bar to leap 14. Seriously though, f*** Dan 15. This actually answered a ton of questions I had from watching the series and I applaude you on this narrative like holy crap this is extensive I love it so much 15 out of 10 easily one of the best lore-dumps ever :D :D :D

ngl I deadass watched this entire thing at 2 am believing this was a part of the actual og shows canon. I got so invested in the stories, the character development, the twists!! and then at the end I was so DARN confused and I just sat there, staring into space when words caught up to me and I finally realized I just watched the unnecessarily in depth summary of a long ass AU fanfic I had never heard of. One way or another, this was wild and even without knowing literally any context for this excepting the first two season of the original show, I was still hooked so I guess your doing something right! anyway thanks for the headache.

This is so cool! Rain, you did an incredible job at putting together the whole History of this! I'm super excited to find out what happens in the future now that I know the past!

I know most people like how diverse eye colours they have but I don't it seems out of place compared to most of the Canon Irkens but I guess there's anime eye colour so I'm usually good with it but most of them had this pinkish colour.

All the detail and work put into this storyline is crazy, and I have no idea how you managed it, but its absolutely amazing! I can't wait for episode 4 of Irken Outcasts! (P.S. I'm sorry for the weirdness of this, I'm just terrible at writing sometimes and I can't say everything I wanna say about this it would take to long. I just hope you get all the rest and good vibes you need!)

Theres an artist on deviantart named artsygum who came up with a IZ alternate where zim was born but wasn't raised by a cold metal machine like in the show instead he's raised by tallest purple and miyuki. I'm thinking this gave him a different mindset where he aint causing destruction in the empire and if thats how it went in the show I'd feel like his voice would sound more like Raz from psychonauts

I just rewatched this video and it’s a lot better knowing what we all know now.Also something I didn’t notice before was the most of the characters are very gay and that’s cool.

Imagine if the reason Zim doesnt want to make friends or be in any partner ships with anyone is because of how he was betrayed by what was said, "His first friend"

Y'all i love this but don't Irkens only live for like 800-1000 years? (10 earth year equals 1 year for them) How would Miyuki and Spork live so long unless the Empire is super young.

The empire is super young! And Miyuki and Spork were Tallests, so they lived quite a lot longer than normal irkens (which is why Xuu is still alive too). In my story, the cloning machines broke and only make “short people” aka irkens with less height and power that don’t live as long.

As good as all this is (and it is quite good) I'm pretty sure that the Irkens were supposed to have a history nearly identical to ours, and were simply consumed by the problems facing us as we speak, until they degenerated into a horrific, and nearly automated ChiCom capitalist dystopia with no ideology or culture beyond a vague sense of manifest destiny and self superiority. Edit: I also don't think the Irken Empire is anywhere near this young.

Can I like, steal your version of the tallest? Like, not exactly, but I want the irkens to have been around for like ever, but we don't know any of the tallest before spoork and miyuki.

I always had the headcanon that the irken empire is similar to the state of the Soviet Union in 1989-1991, in decline and quickly collapsing on itself. Project impending doom 1 was a major disaster that would be akin to 9/11 in the USA, making the irken paranoid, aggressive and causing the government to become more oppresive, igniting relvolutuon and war across the empire. Plus Zim's actions during enter the florpus led to the death of the Almighty tallest, and thus the total and utter collapse of the empire into many sovereign states that would be destined to fight over what remains of the irken empire for billions of years. Basically, Zim was the catalyst for the collapse of the irken empire and the cause of trillions of deaths in bloody wars that would wage on for millennia.
