I do appreciate the CGI timeline mainly being a slight retelling of the model series, due to both still carrying the Thomas show as it’s presented to us whilst subtly making sure it’s it’s own canon that can be separated, just shares mostly the same events up to that point as confirmed by flashbacks

I wonder if it is possible that Andrew Brenner might have possibly retconned Hiro saying he was the first engine on Sodor. But if we recall Hiro saying he was ONE of the first engines to arrive on Sodor, it may be possible he arrived in 1935, who knows. I am just trying to make sense of everything if CGI was canon with models.

I imagine that has been retconned similar to how TATMR was retconned. I have this headcanon that Hiro came to fill in for the North Western engines while they were away on the mainland during the war and he arrived after they left.

I may have only been actively following the series for the Miller Era of this timeline, unfortunately, but after seeing the glory of the Brenner Era after discovering The Unlucky Tug, I can say that this has some of the best locations, characters, and episodes in the entire series, and I admire Tug's efforts to tie it all together.

I feel that when Hiro went back to Japan most of his friends had either passed away, scrapped, moved or preserved. Also maybe steam isn’t used in Japan anymore and only on Sodor can he be really useful.

Gordons reaction to all the changes is exactly how I felt

I hope that the kids that grow up with this new/4th Thomas time line really like it and grow up to find all the amazing originals.

This is fire! I always wondered when and what happened during all the episodes, I watch this with my younger son but somehow it makes me wanna dig deeper. Keep it up!

One of many things I don't like about CGI era is that it didn't utilize character's personal theme song as much as it was in model era where you could tell the characters by just hearing music and it gives them more personality. The other thing I don't like is they hadn't done Emily a justice (but to be fair, she got butchered since series 8).

Fun Fact: There is no such thing as a model series continuity or a CGI series continuity its one continuity and always has been. This is a common misconception I keep seeing when its very obvious its all one timeline for the TV series.

Misty island isnt fully refrenced in this song but it is hinted at by paxton and Sidney. In the song wheres Thomas? Paxton says "he could have found a secret tunnel to some island thats unkown" sidney replies "how can there be and island around here thats unkown?" "Well what if it was always coverd in mist? Oh that sounds very mist-erious"

I don't think Thomas the Tank Engine would have had nearly the same impact on me if i was growing up with the CGI stuff, instead of the classic series. I get some glimpses of it now that makes me want to take a look, but then they pull the "oh we need to make new toys" moves and turn me completely off the idea.

God, I'm so glad I fell out of love with the Thomas series partway through the model series. But I must admit through your videos that I'm getting the urge to watch more of the seasons I skipped. But let's face it, I'll happily stick to the first 26 books as my canon.

The new thomas will never be as good as the cgi i loved watching it it was a big part of my childhood i remember the movies coming out and they made awesome track master sets after or before the movie

The HIT and CGI eras deserve to have retcons for their characters and storylines.

Thomas the Tank Engine Series was one of my oldest childhood memories and since then I love both the models and the CGI. It's a shame that the CGI Thomas and Friends series has coming to the end because I would to see continuing visiting other countries a bit more as he hasn't have a chance to visit American, Germany, France, Mexico, Berlin, and Japan as well as meeting the other engines featuring in "Thomas and Friends The Great Race" like Vinnie, Frieda, Axel, Ivan, Etienne and Carlos. But sadly it's not going to happen now no thanks to Mattel.

Cally's ship looks like the Mayflower The Royal Navy's finest ship in the sails period might have been the Heavy First Rate Ship of the line (HMS Victory) but that was in the 18th century or 17th century

It could be that where Thomas had to go on the mainland for logs was more quickly accessible by boat than by going across the bridge

If you think about it really well, no, that season 18 episode did NOT happen in Tale of the Brave. Here is my evidence. In Tale of the Brave, Gator goes to the Fenland and says that he is sorry for giving James a fright. Although, in the episode, Gator just keeps going when the signal turns green. Thus, Gators lamp just goes out twice and James is a total scaredy cat that shouldn't be making fun of Percy when he got scared of Gator twice in a row. Unlucky Tug, I know you and other people probably won't read this, but I just wanted to say this to clarify things. His ship is also delayed twice.

The CGI era had some mostly good development for the TV series timeline even though it had some flaws.

I was gonna point out Big Mickey from Tugs, but you say it enough that when it’s referenced, it’s canon, then it makes sense Tugs never happened anyway 😂

Note: Prince Charles is now King and Queen Elizabeth II you can guess what happened

for misty island my head canon is that the draw bridge was broken which is why thomas had to go by ship (still makes the movie make no sense but now just a little more)

The vicarstown bridge is neither seen or mentioned in the Miller era

As for the Magic Railroad. If I remember correctly, and don’t quote me on this, Lady is seen later on Sodor in either the classic or CGI timeline, making the events of the movie canon to one of them.

I think this was confirmed after Tug made his timeline videos.

I like to think that the events in the CGI series are out of order, simply because of the inconsistencies. In canon, it has a drifting timeline so it literally doesn't matter. But being Autistic, realism and timelines matter for me. The RWS has a timeline though. It's fascinating how fans are able to get around with the CGI's continuity problem.

Fun fact: you actually CAN hear how Thomas returns from his second world tour… through the form of an official ASMR story on a sleep app called CALM! (It sucks ass tho) basically, Thomas comes home but gets sad no ones talking to him, turns out… everyone planed him a surprise party. YaAaAy

Well I don’t even consider the first one as proof that MIR happened. Misty Island is probably part of Sudrian folklore and the former is from an episode that was supposed to be in season 21 and I see the original version as the canon one.
