Hello from New Zealand Luis. I have to admit that I absolutely love Chicago, particularly that area which encompasses Lake Shore Drive, Grant Park, Millennium Park, Michigan Avenue and the Riverside Walk. I found your videos extremely entertaining and, for me personally, they served as a shelter from the shit of everyday life. I felt as though I was transported to another part of the world that I find extremely appealing notwithstanding the cold winters. Even in winter time, Chicago has a certain appeal and charm. Thank you for your Chicago videos. Best wishes for the future and I hope you enjoy your time in NYC.
Thanks for everything you do, we visited Chicago last year and this channel really helped us make the most of our trip.
You should try and i cover all of the 77 neighborhoods Chicago has to offer.
Man, going to miss your in depth history sections but if your heart isn't in it and you feel that it's time to focus on telling more of our own story while working on your cinematography I wish you much success! When I fist moved to Chicago you became my unofficial tour guide and I learned so much about my own neighborhood as well as the surrounding areas. I learned so much from your channel I'm even able to make recommendations to people who have lived in the city years longer than I have! I'm excited for the new direction you're taking and I'm looking forward to learning more about the man behind the best city guides on youtube. Let's get it!

It's not that his heart's not in it. It's that the audience hasn't cared to learn about it.
I’m Oak Park! Right down the street and every now and then I gotta grab my coffee from the best eateries in Lincoln Park.
We found your channel after we visited Chicago this summer. Because of your channel, we plan to visit the city again next year. No matter what direction you decide to go, we look forward to seeing your next story.
Awesome Gusto! I like this new strategic plan better. Good idea. Nice to hear that we’re not loosening your cuteness. - Bronzeville
Edgewater I love it there
Your videos are what convinced me to move to Chicago all the way from Georgia. I just moved into my Lakeview apartment yesterday. Thank you

@@mosesmbemba3908 absolutely I was happy with the move. It was a big adjustment but the neighborhood is amazing and Chicago as a whole is great place to live
You scared me man. I thought you were calling it a day. Honestly your videos were part of the reason I moved from NYC to Chicago.
We’d love an Andersonville, lakeview and Lincoln square tour!
Sometimes it's necessary to change directions. As a new Chicago transplant I love your videos. I look forward to the new content. 🤟🏾🙌🏾
This is such a nice channel. You and your gf seem so kind and genuine. Keep up the great work, I certainly appreciate it.
I never really knew the history of my city Chicago. I thought it was awesome that you shared the history of our beautiful city. However I totally respect your decision. Thank you for sharing!
Your channel was key in my first visit to Chicago in 2021. I was able to check out a few areas based on your videos. Thanks & continued growth & success of the channel!
Glad that you're continuing doing your channel, for a second I thought you was quitting all together. Do what makes you happy Luis! Your channel is great and I will keep watching my friend.
The history and architecture were my favorite parts. Hopefully you can still instill bits and pieces of it in future videos even if it has to be less to reduce the research burden and not its own section for those not into it to skip.
I will miss the history part of the channel. Going back for a couple of days for the Prince experience. I haven't been home in over 40 years. I can't wait. I will be watching while I am there thank you Luis so much. But I will miss the historic format though.☹️
I´ll miss the history bits, but ultimately it is what it is, a time consuming task where you´re not seeing the return on in while trying to make you room in this algorithm, so it´s totally understanable, keep up the good work !
Like the change. We had to stop the vlog after you guys got boba to do a boba run lol. Miss Chicago. Fans from Vegas.
As an educator it saddens me that people are less interested in history and knowledge overall. I just left Chicago (south loop) after 20 years to relocate south, but coming back there and visiting Lincoln park next month. Happy I discovered your channel. Best of luck with your future direction.
Brotha, loved the history aspect of the channel, but I also understand the decision. I plan to keep watching regardless. I found you awhile back before a trip to Chicago and have been watching ever since. Keep doing your thing man.
Bro you got me worried for a sec! I thought you were leaving Chicago for good or something. I 100% understand why you wanna take the new direction with the channel. I think you’re definitely one of the better ones when it comes to explaining history though I will be real. Also I did notice more views on your Chicago videos than others but that could just be because that’s how some people (including me lol) found and subscribed to your channel. At the end do what people love, BUT keep traveling everywhere cuz that’s what YOU want to do. I think many KZreadrs fail to find the balance whereas you currently are doing well at that. Listen to your heart and go where you feel is best! Good luck with the channel my man 👍🏾
I'm from Chicago and you've been places i havent been in the city lol
Damn bro! I got so much Chicago Knowledge from your channel! My friends visited last month and they were impressed I knew so much Chicago history. Lots of it was thanks to your videos! Look forward to the new stuff too tho!
The new direction sounds great! I was worried you were going to tell us no more Chicago videos. I don’t think I’d recover from that! 😅
Thank you for teaching us everything about Chicago! Excited to see whats next
Wow, that croissant! Gotta try that on my next visit to Chicago!
Hi Gusto!!! Wish you the best in the new journey!!! Try Brazil next!!! São Paulo is one of the best place to eat… you will blow your mind with so many places to have a great meal!!!
Up here trying to scare us. Hey happy for the change 🙂.
Best of luck, Luis!
I thought you were announcing a move to nyc! Happy to support the new direction keep up the good work!
Very dope I do enjoy the live streams from the loop.
Sucks that people don't appreciate the history portion as much. I very much enjoyed your in depth research into the communities of Chicago. Glad you're not quitting KZread altogether though!
Hey Luis you should visit Lake Zurich illinois! It is really nice and has selections of restaurants
Love the Chicago neighborhood guides you've been doing! you guys should go check out philly sometime :)
Chicago the place where I was born
Thanks!
Considering moving to chicago and your videos are so helpful
Luis, love the videos! Looking forward to the next venture!!!
LOVE you guys! No matter the format! Cheers!
Love the channel however you guys do it!!! Could you do Oaklawn, Il
Looking very nice...
Looking forward to the new format! keep up the Good Work!!
I was so worried you were gonna give us really bad news! :) Very clever (albeit frustrating) way to get us to watch the entire video this time! I for one LOVE the history portions, hopefully you'll still include at least a little bit of it here and there even if toa lesser degree. Chicago is my favorite city in the world, and I am so glad we have you two here, as people who clearly love this amazing city too!!
Do enjoy your channel 😊
I got wind of your channel earlier this year and although i'm in the minority, i loved how you formatted the channel. Would've been cool if you had some OGs on the show, to chop it up over a great Chicago dog or Coffee, reminiscing the days of yesteryears. I'll continue to follow you and perhaps you'll bring the cameras to Upstate South Carolina next year.
Excited to see the next chapter! 🎉 For a min I thought you were moving 😭😭
You gotta do Lincoln Square!!
Bummer! I always love the architecture and history aspects and it always seems like you’re passionate about those bits…But I get that its not everyone’s thing. My husband and I appreciate your videos and will continue to enjoy it I’m sure!😊
This was great. Your channel helped me with my move to Chicago. I'm looking forward to the new content you put out.

Loved your content about Chicago and all its history. I’m excited for your new direction of this channel & I will continue to enjoy your KZread journey 🎉

you are young and gifted. You know Fl North port few weeks ago had hurricane alot of destruction, well I in 3wks I will be going on vacation blue ridge ga doing the train, then chattanooga tn uphill train and then chicago where I grew up, going to Lincoln park, zoo, then science & industry natural museum, navy pier and see the loop show my husband where I went to school Holy Name catholic school state st/chicago ave. show him north side for week then memphis graceland, museums in montgomery Al, Birmingham, Lost see in Sweetwater tn. I am excited taking a break playing music ...a musician keyboardist lead singer in my band ...it's gonna be fun. Yes and going to old town see that budhist church they used to have BBQs and obon dancing every year. Can't wait.
It was my first time in Chicago earlier this Month. I did Lincoln park, Hyde park, lakeview east etc. I appreciate your insight and dope content. 💯
If I could afford it I'd live here. Not far from where I've lived for 15 years--Logan Square but very different hoods.
Wow good for you!!!
I moved from Chicago 14 years ago and recently have become very nostalgic since covid has kept me away for years. Recently I found your videos and they have made me so happy. I definitely love the in-depth history, but as a Chicago history buff, a lot of it I already knew anyhow. I think whatever format you use moving forward, you are still going to find that viewers are going to learn something they didn't know and possibly be inspired to go out and do the research themselves. I will watch your videos regardless of format change and I look forward to seeing what's on the horizon. Best of luck!
These are the best Chicago vlogs. Love you both.
Gusto....Big Fan here man. I moved to Chicago about a year ago and discovered your stuff. You were a big help to me getting around and I thank you. I'm a musician from Fort Wayne, In and I need your help to discover where the real music scene is. I mean, I'm in Lincoln Square where Old Town is but in Fort Wayne I could sit in with a band 7 days a week. Here I just don't know. Maybe we can collab. Peace Bro. Keep doing your thing. -The Fan
Do an episode on little village
Luis, you helped me decide to give Chicago a try and move back to the Midwest. Was a great decision. Thanks!

Where are you coming from?
Oak Park... please : )
you got me
Your videos have helped me learn about Chicago, and not to mention where to go, and even how to get there… thanks to your “Chicago by L” video… for what it’s worth, I love your videos. And appreciate the effort you put out there, to educate us, and show us these neighborhoods, and cities.
I unsubscribed from your channel back in 2020-21 cuz I was in the process of moving to Florida and even tho I’m not from Chicago, I still enjoyed your videos especially when you would film parts of the city where my son used to live and I say “used to” cuz he also moved down here as well. I’ll be subscribing again to see where your channel goes and hope for nothing but the best for you guys.👍👍
im in
I have watched your videos for the past few years. Thank you for sharing your creativity and knowledge with the world, Luis! ☺️
I truly appreciated all the hard work you put into researching the history!!! I loved learning so many new things! But whatever you guys do, I’m here for it!! Looking forward to the new chapter and more cinematic masterpieces!!! Blessings to both of you!🙏
Do Rogers park
You should come back to Milwaukee and film some stuff there
I'm planning on moving to Chicago soon and your videos have been super helpful in validating that decision. So, I'm happy you're sticking with it even in a different format.
digging the new cinematic look..

Thank you bro 🙏
Excited about the new format. Was scared you were going to say you were moving away from Chicago, glad to hear you’ll still be making videos here 😊
Great Chanel a must watch when your new to the city and are looking for interesting cool places to visit. can't wait to see more of the new format
Luis your videos were so helpful for me leading up to my move to Chicago. It was a long distance move for me during the pandemic and I was pretty freaked out about it but the way you laid out the details about handling winter, apartments, and just the day to day how to live in the city prepared me like nothing else. The way you incorporated the city's history and architecture had me finessing that like button but if it wasn't paying off, do what you gotta do. Thanks man
Hey Luis, I’m moving to Chicago in two weeks and your videos made me feel so comfortable with my decision of neighborhood. You have no idea how much help you gave me! (I landed on Logan Square)

Enjoy logan square! It's also a very nice neighborhood.
You know how to do it! These videos are masterpieces, no lie. I’ll definitely be watching.
I'm glad I met both you and your wife in person by chance when I visited Chicago. I saw so much in my weekend there thanks to your video. Can't wait to see what you do in the future. Best Wishes.
I was just thinking and I remembered when you did the livestream neighborhood tours. I would normally catch them during my lunch break, I think. I'm looking forward to see the direction you take the channel. It seems like you've got a good pulse on your channel, and you aren't afraid to change things up as you see fit.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
Man! Thanks for all you did. I followed your channel at the beginning of the pandemic when I knew I was relocating to Chicago and it helped me fall in love with this beautiful dynamic city. I also ran into you at Valois in Hyde Park and introduced myself. So grateful for all of the teaching you've done.
I have to say I’m gonna miss the old format you did a great job explaining things but I’m sure the new direction will be just as good or better so can’t wait to see it!
I can hear the NYC accent slightly stuck with you through osmosis from 1:31 through 1:38
I moved to Chicago 2 months ago and your videos have been so helpful learning the city and all that comes with it. Thank you for your knowledge and time
If this is the new format you’re going with for your films KEEP THEM COMING!! Great job man, definitely can’t wait to see more!

I’ve always enjoyed all your content, and glad to hear you are taking steps to bring your channel into its next phase. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the great content! Do what makes you happy! We will still follow!
Mr. Gusto…..change is good. Congratulations to you and Narisa. Do what you do best …I’ll always be watching and supporting. Love you both! 💕
Watching your videos definitely help me and my gf have the time of our lives in Chicago a couple of weeks ago. It’s a beautiful city and really appreciate all the work you do to show it off!
Love it looking forward to the next videos I would love to see you guys Atlanta Georgia, or Tokyo, Japan 🗾 one day. Sending blessings and positivity towards your channel 🙌🏼
Have been following you for the past year. We love Lincoln Park also. Your story telling is so good. Something we are working more on our channel. You cover so much in one video. We are just waiting to run into you guys out in the wild. Good luck with your channel as you evolve more.
I always enjoy how you integrate Chicago's history and architecture into your videos. However, I respect that all things transition and change. So, I look forward to watching your new content. Keep up the good work. Peace and blessings!
Good luck with the new direction. NGL the effort of your content is what keeps me watching. Real information vs just "influencer aesthetic vibe" shots of food and saying it tastes good.
I really appreciate the channel and how the videos were laid out. Luis your videos absolutely helped me and my sis on our trip to Chicago and we are dying to go back and see more. I am a history lover and appreciated the historical gems you were dropping. But as an aspiring KZread content creator myself, I understand the complexity of having to make engaging content and doing your passion. I thank you for creating this channel and can’t wait to see what else you have in store.
Thank you for all the videos you've made about the neighborhoods of Chicago. As someone who lives here now but didn't grow up in Chicago, I've learned an incredible amount and have loved all the recommendations. What you two have done is an amazing resource to the community, even if it isn't seen as much as we all would hope. I live up in Edgewater and loved getting more insight into the community that I live in now. It's a history I probably wouldn't find anywhere else other than your channel. Because of your video on Pilsen, I went down and explored. I talked to a really nice dude sitting next to me in a bar who told me about how Pilsen has an incredible latin punk scene history and got me into Los Crudos - a whole new amazing rabbit hole to venture down. Your videos have always told the story of a diverse Chicago, and that's something to be very proud of, because a lot of history can be lost in the sands of time. I look forward to the new direction your channel will take, and thank you for all the knowledge you have shared so far.
Yooo LOVE the format of this video. Super engaging both visually and story-wise. Kept me interested and entertained the whole time. Excited to see more!
Can’t wait to see more of your story. You are one of the KZreadrs who inspired me to create my Chicago vlogs. Keep up the great work Luis!
Siiiick 🔥🔥
Great to hear your story Luis, definitely like the natural talk along with the scripted convo, love the mix up and seeing some more of your personalities! Im watching regardless of where you take the channel!
