man I had written this game off as trash...until I tried the beta and got addicted. Idk why its so much fun, just mindless action but lots of customization for ship loadouts

the feedback I got from people who were trashing it but ACTUALLY TRIED THE FREE BETA basically all held the same opinion you gave here. Lots of anger on line for whatever reason from people that didn't actually play the game

@@Pace22 Anger mostly stems from the fact that an idiot at Ubisoft made a joke for why it's 70$ by calling it AAAA. Ubisoft has earned skepticism over the last decade. Nice to see they might've gotten a game right though.

i think the ship combat looks cool, sort of a next evolution of AC4 but i really wish the on land gameplay was a little smoother

Yeah, technically, every thing you do on land, could have been done in a menu, but they need people to have a reason to buy clothing items and cosmetics, so they made it a social hub. I'd love to see things like ship combat, and being able to invite players to hang out on your ship and such, but I'm happy with what they offered so far.

Are those chain or bar shots from the front of your ship??? What are those cannons called???

I didn’t get play the pvp, man that looked amazing! Mainly sailed and explored which is great too. I am hoping for more land interactions in the future. I’m very very happy with this

I agree I think this will be more like world of tanks pirate game than a SOT replacement

The game is really fun

Looks really good. Kinda pumped for you to potentially have some more variety with what you stream. As much as I love SOT it must be getting difficult for you to stream it every day after so long. Hope S&B picks up and does good views

How come big name streamers that probably get paid by ubisoft saynits great but smaller ones that dont get paid by ubisoft say it sucks

I love the look of this game and I am fairly obsessed with anything pirate. But I can't tell how repetitive its going to feel and $70 to find out is a tough swallow

Play sot for that, the two are completely different games, skull and bones is more focused on naval while sea of thieves is a first person game, able to board and fight crews hand to hand

I ended up buying it despite only having chance to play the beta for about 3-4 hours. I just feel like even though it doesn’t seem super polished its quite addictive and i feel like it had big potential to grow.

I was very, very... VERY skeptical about this game even I was still waiting for it. I've tried BETA, loved it and now getting 2 copies of the game - 1 for myself and 1 for my friend! BEST pirate naval combat game ever! All these customizations of ship and option to build new ships are AWESOME!

I loved playing the open beta I can't wait to buy this game when it comes out its not one that I could play all day everyday but I could definitely come back to it every now and then like every season when they release new content for sure.

All these people online that complain about the game can just download sea of thieves I played it for 2 years it sucks compared to this game. I like the ship only battles, it reminds me of world of tanks/warships style. It's easy an fun to me focusing on the ship for the main mechanic

Honestly, this look way too "arcade" compared to the fascinating sandbox SoT is supposed to be. But if you love it, I hope it gets big and your streams get lots of views.

lets be honest. the game should be 40$ and is ok at best. id bet the player count will fall of dramatically over the next few months. but since ubi spent 10 year and lord knows how much money striping and rebuilding the game its a AAAA title that's 70$. the first of its kind LMFAO. what's next AAAAAAAA games at 120$.

I can see the appeal of the combat, but the fact that ships can just heal in an instant and immediately respawn, then return to the fight in just a few seconds, after sinking, is pretty cringe. This is basically my main gripe about doing Siren Song Skulls, but on steroids. When you sink, you should be outta there. Dueces! Adios! You should also have to pull out for a good 10-30 seconds, to repair. I can eventually get over the fact that a 16th century pirate ship has flamethrowers, machine guns and guided missiles, but the instant-repair and instant respawn thing really seems disruptive to the theme and setting of the game.

Ps rather than bashing the game we need to promote new ideas like this to increase the chances the these updates comming the more we show that wed buy a product with the ideas we promote the more likely they will add them. KZreadrs need to give pros and cons then give ideas on how to fix the game rather than just saying "dont buy" they shouldnt be daykng dont buy at all they should highlight the good and the bad and promote new ways to make the game better and let other people decide weather or not they want to spend their money games with so much potential just die out because so many people just push the bad and tell people not to buy rather than just promoting how to fix the game and sadly games dont get fixed regardless of how good they can be unless they have a player base. Also the premium version of this game should be 60 and the normal should be 40. You know ubisoft never once said it was gonna be a blacl flag 2. And tbh i actually LOVE THIS GAME. So ima give my thoughts. Pros and cons starting with the pro. Pros Game looks amazing. The over all customization of youre cheracter and ships is amazing (cosmetic wise) the combat is fast and wild and the game it self has a shit ton of events and missions to do in it. Cons All the good stuff (missions wise and things to do) arent unlocked until you get to kingpin. So many people get bored before they even get to the game. Cannon angles need to be decreased Stamina bar needs to be removes and replaced with more dynamic winds. Pvp needs to be allowed EVERY WHERE with an option to disable it for youre self. Those are my cons now im going to give a suggestion on how they could implement land based PVP and ship based pvp Land pvp. Islands need to be more open to allow further exploration across islands. And the ability to compete for treause burried on the island. Port Conquest need to be added to the game. They start off with ship based combat if the defender loses then it progresses to land combat between the players and their crew "max teams on both sides are 3 with a max land crew of 5 per person each side will fight to either take over or defend objectives there will be 3 front objectives that need to be taked 2 mid objectives that need to be taken and 1 town hall objective that needs to be taken. Now for SHIP BOREDING. There will be no ship boreding during port conquest. How ever in open ocean during boreding both ships will be emune to outside DM. Both sides will have 10 crew members during the attack a IF YOU DIE ONCE you lose the boreding. Plain and simple. As for the crew they need add a way to upgrade youre crew equitment by doing so will increase youre crew lvl just like the ships and their efficiency. Its as simple as that. Let me know what you guys think.

Can't compare them, one your are playing as a pirate on legs the other is a pirate at sea, two different games other then being a pirate

One of the worst games ive ever seen. The way the boats pivot at the front looks super trash. And machine gun cannons that sound like ww2 AA guns. Trash

Not machine guns, you have to shoot each cannon separately so you send them on by spamming trigger, hopefully the full game will have a way to fire all at one's with a double click or something

Game is Trash, stay away from this scam. We had a PvP Flagging Option ingame. u could flag yourself for more xp and gold and more fun. u wanted PvE Chill? U could turn PvP off. now this game is such GARBAGE and hope the DEV who did this get tossed out. he is not a gamer, he is a scammer.
