Ray, I’d be extremely suprised if Fujifilm would get its hands THAT dirty. Reorganizing means costs. Severance pays, asset disposition, consultants, etc. So why acquiring a dying cow with no real meat when you can just create a “joint venture” and milk it? Minimal cost, you get to sell more toner (where the money is) and you let the cow die peacefully.

Not necessarily if they buy the assets only! It’s not about saving Konica it’s about absorbing it. Consolidation is a great opportunity for the financially strong to eat the financially weak and Konica is definitely financially weak!
