I love Finland. People think I'm a fool to go there in the dead of winter. It takes some adjustments but worth it. Also my beautiful Sweden is just across the water.

Hello there, reminds me of my first job in New Jersey as a nurse in med/surg shoveling snow then moved to California after 2 years now retired after 37 years service and thank GOD for guidance and safety. God Bless all nurses❤

My mother's Great grands were from Finland! I lived in Helsinki and studied at the University for 4 years. My nephew is married and lives there now. I'd go there in a heartbeat!! I love Finnish culture and grew up with Finnish language spoken by all adults who didn't want the children to hear, lol.

Hi there. I live in here for about 15 years. I have tried all banks in here. I would suggest you S-Pankki, they have their branches in every Prisma Department stores. Plus the customer service is very good.

Let me give you an advice I wish I followed 12 years ago when I moved to Finland, please go to Canada or USA instead. Life is too short to waste years in a country where you cant dream of making giant career strides. If money is a big issue for you, I'd suggest Poland for BSc and then NEVER do MSc in Europe. Move to Canada or USA IMMEDIATELY after BSc. Dont stay for an extra day in Europe. Believe me, I have seen people who left Finland for USA and Canada work in top organisations and have a decent life but the only job they could ever dream of in Finland is cleaning. If you insist on coming to Finland, prioritize getting the citizenship so that you can get financial help from govt if you move to Canada or USA for your MSc. If you are not a driven person, then maybe Finland won't bother you but if you are and have great life aspirations, you will feel frustrated in this place. You will be like a fish living outside water. You will become dead inside... Lol. You need to live in a country where immigrants moving up the ladder is a normal occurrence. Finland in general is a peaceful country and the people are nice so I dont hate them but I have to be honest with job issue here.

Apply for work? Wala ako alam naghihire ng direct, thru agency dumadaan ang usually ang nurses dito. Ung iba they'll apply for school, kc hnd accredited ang certificates/diploma ng foreign nurses.

For how many years ka na diyan, bakit po ayaw mo mag stay for long sa hospital as a staff nurse?

I don't want to do evening and night shifts :) I can be in a ward if I can do only morning shifts, but it's not really allowed/ fair for others.

I have my qualifications s from India so I had to get my degrees authorized from dept of edu here in Finland. But since you are planning to study here at abo university you will not have that problem. And talking about jobs I don't know your area of specialization and subjects....you can check them online.....but learning Finnish language would be an added advantage.....

It was a long time ago since we were under Spain, and we no longer use spanish in schools. We grew up using the english language at school that's why we often mix our mother tongue with English.

@@UrbroPhilip because after the Spaniards came , the Americans came and introduced the educational system in the Philippines. Since then we adopted the system and all subjects were taught in English except of course for 1 subject which is our mother tongue.. therefore, we can 2 official languages- Filipino and English

@@UrbroPhilip not all provinces occupied by spanish. In western part we have more spanish words than the other parts. In the capital it is more tagalog and only little spanish. In Zamboanga there they speak broken spanish.
