Hey Vlad !!! 🤣 You should try building a turtle shell trap below a platform structure that’s 2 stories high with only a top floor. The mutants will launch up and smack the bottom of top floor. It’s worth a visual. Hilarious shit to see. I call it the “ Double Whammy “ trap. Trust me

You can also burn bodies with your lit torch. Get the bones that way. Instead of building fires. Love your content!

to me this game is spot on. I think it’s just sequels in general that don’t do well. It’s the same with movies, people always hate the sequels even if they’re better. If they abandoned The Forest story and used a different title I think people would’ve been way more content. They take it as The Forest being replaced and get defensive, because they’re attached to the nostalgic memories.

Personally, some aspects of this game is better than the first, but other aspects miss with me. I enjoyed how in the previous game the cannibals used to holler at you from a distance, used to spook the hell out of me. The mutants in this game sucks compared to the first game, and it really sucks that you can't fix water being frozen during winter by placing a fire next to it. Though, I do find myself going back and forth in between the two games.

There’s way more, including the old ones, they are more intelligent, strong, they’re a lot scarier and They have better graphics. The idea to create the puffies was great, it never made sense how cannibals and mutants were friends. The idea behind puffies is very cool, the sounds they make is as if their mouth has been sewed shut. That’s the point of winter, to be a challenge, because it’s a survival game. I loved the forest, but I can’t understand liking it that much. It felt so empty, buggy, unpolished and unfinished. I think you’re just in denial.

@@VeImir Wow. Excuse me? I'm in denial? God forbid I have different opinions and preferences. As I said, personally I don't like the mutants. And no, the cannibals don't holler like that in this one, which is fair because it is a different game. I just enjoyed how they did it in The Forest more than how it is in Sons of The Forest. Some of the mutants don't give enough creepy armor as they should. They don't amaze me. Sure they are smarter and stronger, the graphics are obviously better, that doesn't mean by default I should enjoy them, and I don't. How were the cannibals and mutants friends, they attacked each other in the previous game as well. And I forget if it is the same way as the first game, but I'd expected this sequel that's more modern to at least cover something as small and menial as a way to unfreeze water by putting any kind of fire next to it. That makes sense, doesn't it? It's not more of a challenge that way, it's just stupid, an inconvenience. Imagine you are out in the wilderness and you have some sort of rain catcher. OH WELL. I guess I'll wait until Spring! I do like The Forest that much, more than its sequel. I've logged more hours in it than the sequel. And also as I've said, I still switch back and forth between the two games. Finally, what you've said about The Forest can also be said of Sons of The Forest; aside from it being empty because they now put cannibals in their camps, it is buggy, it is unpolished, and it is unfinished. I'm glad you enjoy it more than I do, I don't regret buying it on first day release, I don't regret not playing it. It just ain't my cup of tea and leaves me wanting for more, and going back to the original game sometimes. You understand that yeah? To invalidate my own opinion by calling me in denial is disrespectful. Especially so because you are providing your own legit criticisms while shoving mine.

I'm waiting for SOF release to PS5 meanwhile in desperation I went back to The Forest and I do enjoy it still but, building in the old game is terrible compared, to make an extraordinary base you must be on creative mode, otherwise its hell, remember those terrible roofs? Loosing all your materials if you needed a change? Not being able to change the animal heads, the limited items you could place in shelves? I'm pretty sure before it's completely free of upgrades some of the things needed will be available but if you're not a builder, both games have an ending period like every other game pretty much. I've watched sooooo many hours of videos and streaming of SOF that I'm almost an experienced viewer. The way the gamer is capable of using the game to his advantage and how much he enjoys it has a lot to do with how we enjoy it ourselves. My 2 cents

Oh, and you can power attack corpses with the torch, it'll stab them and light them up. Or just beat on them with it, that works too, unless that was stealth patched. Kelvin works on a radius limit. If Vladd where to go to the other side of the base where the swing traps are and put Kelvin on maintenance, Kelvin would most likely stop going to the treehouse base as it's to far away. To bad Kel's pathing is not as polished as it could be.

Honestly I suspect they're doing a dlc and not a whole other game. For starters, the idea that Timmy's losing control of his mutation is quite similar to the game's first trailer where we see Timmy's mutant hand drag off a soldier and kill him, barely missing the player. That indicates that he goes berserk and we need to stop him (hinted at by him going missing in the end credits newspapers). 2nd thing is that there's tons of unfinished items and sound effects in the game files like a flyable drone, a fishing rod, sleeping bag, hololens (vr goggles for the drone), and tons of other stuff. The pickaxe and rifle were originally found in a similar unfinished state in the game files, so I suspect these other ones will be developed and added later down the line. I really don't think they need to make a whole new game, just a new map and story that builds on player feedback on the current ones. The game's called Sons of The Forest, and yet the only Son we have, Timmy, doesn't have a super large role in the story until the end, so I think the game right now is just the buildup for the true story hinted at in trailer 1.

Yeah, when I saw the mega demon I thought it was some kind of glitch. After you finish the story there are no exclusions regarding the monsters, from time to time you get to fight them all again and again, from babies to final bosses and also some monsters from "The Forest"

Vladd, I love your golden base. In all seriousness, you're probably the only KZreadr who has actually done this amazing game justice. You deserved to have such a great final series. All the other "KZreadrs" let me down. There is only one king in my mind when it comes to the Forest. And it's not even close.

A new game with a series of islands you can travel between, each with a unique tribe of cannibals, with different buildable water craft and aquatic mutants would be a cool direction to take it. AND/OR you get to play as Timmy and have cool mutant powers.

Just wanted to drop a few ideas for you for next series: Survival games: Breathedge - hillarious space survival - fits your survival/comedy geanra (and you'll love the ending); Subnautica with Death Run mode - you'll enjoy that one; Subnautica Below Zero (not as good as the previous one but it's still good); Project Zomboid - don't know if you could make series of this but I definately recommend you to play it; Other Games: Dying Light 1&2 - you can play multiplayer for this one and I bet people would love to hear your screams when you'll be playing it - it's not a survival but definately a terryfying experience; 7 days to die - you can go multiplayer; Thanks again for the grat series!

The tall shrine is the repeller. The shorter one you thought was a solafite generator is the attract shrine

I love how massive the map is mixed with the hand-gliding over the smoke of mutant/cannibal camps. It's every cinematic and I keep crafting stories or moments in my head of like some seeing you and TRYING to follow and track you, especially when you land, but in like real time. I know not how the game words, they're not actually roaming FULLY, they spawn a certain distance away and then migrate in your general area. And send more to you over the days and more you kill. But would be so much cooler if they we roaming and had like individual ai so some will track you desperately, others give up or don't have attention span for it.

I just watched your live stream on twitch from yesterday and it’s really great to see and feel all the love this great community has for you, because if any KZreadr deserves it, it’s definitely you. It’s great to see someone like you being so humble and really genuine, and I’m so happy to be apart of this community and have you getting the love and support u so much mdeserve and have earned. We all love you and I know we ALL love watching your videos, I personally love the h Horror and the survival games both, actually I just enjoy watching anything you upload or stream I feel like I’m hanging out with a friend and that’s what I love the most. So keep the great work and content coming, you deserve so much more recognition!!! 😊❤

Personally I absolutely love this game, but the only thing I would change is having full accessibility to every part of the map immediately and you should be playing as Timmy, not some random press guy, so you feel more connected to the character. I would make different zones only accessible by having to collect certain items to build ways to progress to a new part of the map and up the difficulty as you went, like an easy/medium/hard zone each with their own caves with items you need for the next zone. The tribes gets more volatile and larger in each zone etc. Perhaps in the easy zone (Zone 1) you start low down by the beaches and partial forests with open grasslands/golf course etc. You have to get supplies to build rope bridges or something to get to the next zone. This is where you have a starter base to figure out building mechanics, hunting, find basic weapons/traps...a more primitive start. Perhaps an easier natural predator like 1 or 2 bears roaming that aren't easily aggrivated or can be scared off with the right equipment. After you get across the bridges you've built is the medium level zone (Zone 2) with new caves, harder tribes, new item to craft to get to the hard zone...perhaps a more advanced raft/moterboat or have to find items to repair a broken boat you find. Have an intricate river system in the second zone that makes the boat necessary to get to the next zone. The river system has strong currents that make you drown and alligators/anacondas. You get more advanced weapons, caves get harder and bigger, and collecting items to repair/build the boat. New and bigger tribes live in this area, they act/fight different than Zone 1. More densely forrested than Zone 1 but still some grassy open patches, cliff base locations etc and the most lakes in this location. Once you get the boat working and move to the hardest zone (Zone 3) this is where you spend the majority of the gameplay. Permanent base building, most of the caves, most advanced weapons, hardest tribes, perhaps a few wolf packs live in this area, boss fights are here, final bunker etc. The most densely forrested area, maybe some tribes have treehouse camps here. In this zone you have to find pieces to build something to use in the boss fight. I'd also put the airplane landing strip and Helipads in Zone 3. Zone 1 would have golf carts(they dont fit across the bridge to zone 2), Zone 2 the Knight V (can go back and forth from zone 1 and 2 ) and Zone 3 the glider so you could access the entire map. I'd sprinkle in a few POIs that force you to access the previous parts of the map but you don't unlock those locations until you make it to the next zone. Maybe some hidden items in lakes/ocean, digging areas, animal dens etc. One thing i would change that bothers me in this game is being able to eat the cannibals...although realistically you can eat people it really makes the line blurry between you and who is supposed to be your enemies. You should get a massive sickness from doing it that nerfs all your stats to help refrain players from ever wanting to do it or just make it not possible to consume altogether. Plus with all the recepies, berries, fish, flowers, rabbits, deer, squirrels, oysters, turtles, moose, alligators, bears, wolves, snakes, birds etc...they should also make the "found food" more scarce. The MREs, canned food, energy bars/drinks, ramen, cereal etc to make the survival aspect stronger. It would make the player rely more on hunting/fishing/gathering, making recepies and health mixes. And force them to save the found foods and pills for big cave adventures where they'll be underground a long time or more dire situations...more like last resort food than "I have so many I'll just eat this so i can pick up more as i find them". I think this would make the game much more challenging and replayable. Different difficulty zones, new environments with new animals and cannibal tribes, new projects to build as you go, new bases to build....just stretch the game out longer with more to achieve to progress forward. ❤ *Zone 1 items- Stun Gun, Modern Axe, Shovel, Rope Gun (Needed to build rope bridges), Pistol and attachments, Machete, Crossbow Maintenance Keycard. *Zone 2 items- Rebreather (needed to get boat parts), Shotgun and attachments, Chainsaw, Katana, Stun Baton, Modern Bow, Guest Keycard. *Zone 3 Items- Ancient Armor, Rifle and attachments, Revolver, VIP keycard, Pickaxe, All 7 Artifacts. *Zone 1 Locations- 3 caves (Cossbow, Shovel and Rope Gun) 3 Bunkers (Maintenance A (keycard located), B, Food and Dining) *Zone 2 Locations- 3 caves (Rebreather, Modern Bow, Shotgun) 3 Bunkers (Maintenance C (keycard located, 3D printer), Entertainment Bunker, Residential Bunker) *Zone 3 Locations- 4 caves (Pickaxe/2 Artifacts, Rifle/2 Artifacts, Revolver/2 Artifacts, Ancient Armor/1 Artifact) 2 Bunkers- Airport/Helipad Bunker *NEW* (VIP Keycard, 3D printer), VIP Bunker/Boss Fights/Cube. *POIs Zone 1- Pistol, Modern Axe, Machete, Stun Gun. *POIs Zone 2- Flaslight, Chainsaw, Katana, Stun Baton. POIs Zone 3- Upgraded Flashlight or Miners Helmet (both better than flashlight found in Zone 2), Better hunting knife (harvests more meat, Creepy Armor, animal hide etc), Better Camo Outfit (Keeps your hidden meter half full without crouching). So many things they could do with this game. Perhaps not on this map but a future map for the next game where each zone isnt accessible until you've completed all the caves, bunkers and POIs to access the next zone. Kind of like the Abberation map in ARK where its built very vertically. Beach would be the lowest terrain (zone 1), bridges need to be built across cliffs to access middle terrain (zone 2), boat needs to be fixed/built) to access big river to take you to the next terrain on back of island or seperate smaller isolated island (zone 3). Kind of like on the show Lost where there was 1 main island but the Others lived in a modern village on another island. Like a VIP Island 🤷🏻‍♀️🙂

If you dig pretty much anywhere that is grass or dirt you will find bones, skulls, watches, and coins. Maybe make an episode or two of just dicken around with the cheatstick and other things. 👍😁👍

FYI on the north east side of snow near the mountain is piles of solofite sat on the surface without having to cave for it👌 look for the lightning when u get close, theres lots there

When you eventually come back to this game, you should continue building the tower up higher place a launch pad at the very top to get insane air when you glide and also start building a massive zipline continued zipline system around the map. You already partly have one to get water from the lake and river lol. Next one should go straight to the top of the mount, where you MAYBE make another launch pad for the fxck of it lol. Or get really wicked with it and make zipline systems off to off of high cliffs to mix it with the the hand-glider.

You definitely need some higher walls to keep things from jumping in. You'll probably have to raise everything accordingly. Also, don't forget that you can burn bodies with a simple torch too. Unless you remember and are choosing not to, idk. I noticed you nevef use the chainsaw or rifle, have some fun! I'm going to be really sad when this is over. Take a break and hopefully we'll get a cool new update for another challenge.
