So glad to see ENS being spoken about, please do more videos about this! Another sufferer of it here and the videos speaking candidly about it are so few and far between. Thanks for making this!

I understand about the need for implants for many patients suffering from ENS, but many of us suffer from nerve damage and damage to the nasal mucosa. A lot more needs to be done to try to treat those patients which would not benefit from an implant. Other symptoms such as severe discomfort inside the nose, feeling extremely pinched, and trouble sensing air all need to be addressed as well. Oils, sprays, and ointments are just not sustainable for us to survive long-term with these devastating symptoms we feel every second of the day. Too many of us are experimenting with hundreds and thousands of different things to try to obtain relief from this condition.

Agreed. Huge misconception from Ent specialists is that Ens/surgical turbinate injury can be treated by lubricating a non functional organ. Its like putting super glue on water. Makes no sense. If ear nose and throat specialists continue to harm patients the least they can do is invest in regenerative techniques to aid in restoring function.

Amazing interview! Being an ENS sufferer I have followed the accomplishments of Dr Jang treating the condition. Thank you so much for bringing this to light and giving Dr Jang the spotlight to explain. I am interested in learning more about the nose plug he has developed and the ointment. Is there any more information that can be provided on this please?

Thank you Dr. Jang for acknowledging this very real and serious surgically caused condition that has long term negative ramifications to a person's health and life. One thing to add from a patients perspective is that it's not only aggressive procedures that are causing Ens symptoms but even conservative procedures are also causing damages and injuries to the nasal mucosa and important receptors/nerves and array of other respiratory and neurological conditions that can arise. I would also highly recommend anyone who is thinking about getting these procedures done is to read about how important the turbinates are before commiting to these non essential non emergency type of surgeries . Unfortunately these procedures are overly marketed to unknowing/ overly trusting patients who only need guidance from a holistic practitioner to find the root cause of nasal their inflammation.

also important to keep in mind that septoplasty causes ENS too, as Dr. Jang noted in this January 2024 interview. Dr. Jang says that (aggressive) septoplasty can also lead to ENS symptoms, including insomnia, anosmia (loss of smell), mucosal damage, depression from inability to breath autonomically, loss of air sensation, suffocation, etc.

Thank you for sharing this talk! Especially the part about ENS at 19:25 I find very important. I know you had Dr Richard Harvey on your podcast before, and I wish you had spoken out more against him, when he spread misinformation on ENS, contrary to the consensus in basically all other countries besides Australia.

When Dr Harvey prescribed me mometasone in my sinus rinses, i started getting ens symptoms like clicking noises (neurologist has told me it is palatal myclonus, spasming of nerves) and slight suffocation feeling. This exacerbated after I stopped the steroid and believe I got steroid withdrawal- I became completely dried me out and had full blown suffocation. I did have sinus surgery but didn’t get any ens symptoms until I used the medication a year after it. When I told Dr harvey my symptoms he referred me to to a psychologist who he was affiliated with and when I left a one page review he called her, and the psychologist advised me to delete the review and told me I could get sued for defamation. Basically don’t use strong steroids after sinus surgery and if you are Australian save your money and sanity, and seek diagnosis overseas/treatment overseas. 2 ens doctors have told me Australian ents are extremely hostile against ens and actively try to disprove it. My cfd study shows I have turbulence but I also feel nerve spasms, numbness and pinching. I do agree with others that more should be studied re nerves/function not just volume. I have also seen online people who have used mometasone like me and got ens like symptoms without surgery.
