Angron: No change!
The book scars makes it clear that magnus wanted 0 restrictions or forbidden knowledge to psykers. Jagahatai and sanguinius joined him in designing the librarius specifically to help control magnus' thirst for psychic power as well as help their own psyker sons develop their power and self control. The big E should've allowed sanguinius and the Khan to be the ones to control magnus

@@MURPHYCHACHO Quite possibly, but look at how much respect Jaghatai had for Magnus - I think this is a case where it depends entirely on the writer who tackled it. Sanguinius was the most beloved by ALL the Primarchs... which might have made Magnus wary, as Magnus might see this as Sanguinius looking to placate Russ in particular. No one knew what Jaghatai was about AND Jaghatai probably had the most open mind of any of the Primarchs (he explored so much unknown space that he had to be able to adapt to new situations, and cast off Dogma when that dogma would get his legion killed), so Magnus might have thought that Jaghatai would have had less of a reason to bow to the pressure of the other Primarchs. (Also, Magnus might have thought he understood Jaghatai more than the rest, and thought he could deal with Jaghatai more easily than with Sanguinius.) All in all, I think either of them would have been a great choice in holding the "leash", so to speak, of Psykers. No wrong answer with either of them.

Jaghatai and the White Scars are actually a case study in why telling them about chaos would have been a good idea. Their homeworld was already somewhat aware of chaos and demons to begin with, and were thus already taught to be careful and wary of warp threats. This was a big reason why they even stayed loyal, because they already knew joining chaos was a terrible idea.

Well except the issue that almost half the white scars, early on, were traitors from being influenced from the warrior lodges and they were trying to convince Jaghatai and other loyal or undecided members of their legion to join Horace and his chaos daddies, so I don't really know if you're point was valid. Actually I agree with you that teaching his sons, Primarchs, all about chaos and the other dimensions, demons, worshipping them, souls in peril, that they themselves had a part of chaos entity's in them (pretty sure I heard somewhere that the Primarchs souls were attained from powerful demons from the warp, that was part of the big Es betrayal of the chaos gods). Just was truthful to them, it could have been a bonding event with all his sons, helped build trust and it makes since to know you're enemies. Every general in history wanted information from has many sources as possible on their enemies and potential enemies. It's alot more effective and efficient fighting someone if you know everything or atleast as much as possible about them. Just saying the white scars was actually a bad point in this argument based on what happened in lore.

I think it's less the idea that humanity would have different goals and more not trying to keep the best aspects of Humanity in the Imperium. Faith is key to Humanity and (in this universe) one of our greatest tools is how the species beliefs have affected the warp and universe (look how few it took to make the Tau greater good into a warp entity). Instead of the Imperial Truth it would have been better to acknowledge malevolent warp entities and give Humanity a set of tenants/values to follow with a focus on lifting all of humanity up. It also goes with him personally he was too certain that a form of the Heresy was needed and was to quick to mark them as expendable/necessary sacrifice and the Space Marines as another Thunder Warriors. If he saw the primarchs more as sons then tools they likely would have either stayed loyal for good or spread out to do their own things.
I gotta say, I think misleading Erda so that the chaos gods could manipulate her into helping them scatter the primarch babies in the first place was by far the biggest fuck up. I have a theory about the nature of the Emperor and the Primarchs that may explain why he made so much mistakes on what was suppose to be mankind's greatest champions and shepherds of a new golden age. Being someone that follows the theory that Primarrchs were minor warp gods, I think the process in which the Emperor made the Primarch souls greatly affected him as well and made him into the strange detached man we see in the great crusade. I surmise that the Emperor went in with the best intentions with him wanting to keep all the Primarchs even after he took the galaxy. Now here is the meat of the theory, the process of making the Primarchs didn't just merely affect the Emperor, it damaged him greatly. The Primarchs not only have their own quirks but also seem to contain aspects of the Emperor so I believe he gave each of those souls a fragment of himself as well. Even before he sat upon the golden throne, the Emperor was already fragmenting and breaking apart, both from gaining vast powers from the warp AND losing parts of his soul to craft the Primarchs. This would explain why he was in such a hurry to conquer the galaxy, he was losing much of himself as time went on and thus was pressured to complete everything while he was still able to. This is why some of his meetings with certain Primarchs were so perfect, cementing their loyalty and support and alienating others, he was not always there, probably at certain times he was far more fragmented, leading him to treat some of them badly, losing them in the process, while other times he could pull himself together enough to be the father figure they wanted or needed him to be. The cold calculating Emperor could also be explained as the only way he could focus on his goals, and him suppressing his emotions and empathy were because they caused him to fragment further.

That´s a good Take on it. My Theory builds on what Malcador once said, he wasnt the Emperor until he met him, and that he changed after coming back from the Warp. So when big E went through the Portal on Molech, he didn´t just take 20 minor Warp Gods for the Souls of his Sons, he also took one for himself. He was a powerfull and perpetual Psycher before, but absorbing or fusing with a Warp God turned him into the Emperor. It is mentioned multiple Times that his True/spirital Form isn´t human. Who knows, maybe he took the Warp God of Order back in 24k and is actually the Reason why Chaos was growing and taking over the Warp.
In "Outcast dead" (middle of heresy as timeline goes) the astropath is flying over the palace the guide states in awe, that they are passing the place where Emperor spent a day with his Primarch Sons before sending them on the crusade. His reply was "maybe we wouldn't be in this situation if he spent more than a day with his sons"
@Ragnarra

You know its bad when even normal people like astropaths are saying such things hindsight is 20/20. In retrospect they are probably correct.
I think the real reason Big E didn't tell anyone about Chaos is because that was a part of his deal to make the primarchs. I think the primarchs were 20 unaligned warp entities who gave a little bit of their essence in order to help them become powerful in various attributes. All of their powers, and flaws are due to these entities, but they are still fully human and self aware.

It could have been a unique and interesting story if the big e just left angron there and moved on. Maybe instead of horus, chaos uses angron because they can do so in the beginning without the imperium knowing and still have a bloodthirsty bezerker primarch with an army of, while not astartes, like daemonhost gladiators. The way the writers justified his nonsense action was that the Emperor can see a lot of possible futures, hence why the Emperor made moves that doesn't make sense, or in some cases putting the cart before the horse. The main issue was that there are a lot of players on the board, hence why the supposed future is always changing to Humanity's enlightenment.

One of your best videos, and that is saying something. This leads to another potential list: ranking the Emperor's favorite sons, from top to Angron/Mortarion.
That “call me anytime” part would have to be real specific to magnus that he use his astropaths and failing that come see him in person so Magnus doesn’t come crashing through like the koolaid man😊

Just gotta say I really like all the custom mini work you guys do, honestly would love to see some custodian troop/elite minis, maybe even sos if it's even possible with a printer
I think the Emperor knew helping Angron would cause someone else to end up falling to chaos or wouldn't change anything so the Emperor chose not to help him since Horus got all the worst primarchs on his side

A genius a thousand times over: He intended the Heresy. Whenever someone sees his true face, they are horrified by the inhumanity. His enemies during the unification war called him a dark age weapon running loose, an idea repeated 10k years later by a C'tan to Cawl. Walking about clad in gold. Tying humanity's fate to Needing him to sit upon the throne for eternity, eating tasty souls. That thing wanted to be a god.

where can i read more about this
Right after the Emperor's arrival, Lorgar should have been taken to Luna and slapped into a cult deprogramming centre, while pre-augmented Erebus and Kor Phaeron should have been stuffed into sacks and dropped down a deep dark hole somewhere (by which I mean they should both have been murdered by a secret death squad). It baffles me that a being of the Emperor's psychic might didn't detect two obvious Chaos cultists standing within 15 feet of him and Lorgar whenever they met. Then again maybe it all went Just. As. Planned. I mean we say that Imperium has been around 10,000 years, but Impy is at least 50,000 years old, so that's just a decade to a guy like him. Dude's a long term strategic thinker who plays crazily complex games like Paradox-Billiards-Vostroyan-Roulette-Fourth-Dimensional-Hypercube-Chess-Strip Poker as a way to relax, so I wouldn't put it past him to have been playing Erebus and Kor Phaeron all along.
All lore and jokes aside, for any father that wants to have a better relationship with their kids, these mistakes from the Emperor are mistakes that some fathers do on the daily which push their kids away as did the Emperor with the Primarchs, so just some food for though in fixing these mistakes, great video Majorkill
Video I wanna see: how Malcador is the BIGGEST beast. Obviously he is a god tier Psyker, but he also kinda sorta has hard carried the Imperium for literally it's entire existence. Even in death with his efforts with the Grey Knights and Officio Assasonorum. Also the mightiest imperial faction of, the Administratum.

The big E is actually khorne. That's why he did nothing to prevent the horis heresy he knew it would lead to endless war and more skulls for the golden throne.
I think that you should do some videos on the void ships of 40k, as it seems to be an area that you haven't yet touched upon. (Imperial Navy ships explained, Battle Barges explained, etc.)
I think the Emperor deliberately used Monarchia to turn Lorgar and Guilliman against one another. The Big E was not certain Guilliman would stay loyal, and was kind of right, given Imperium Secondus, so creating enmity between the 2 biggest Legions would prevent both allying against him for any reason. I think the only Primarch's that could have purged Monarchia without breaking Lorgar would be Horus and Sanguinius. Both would have likely not just destroyed the world, but made sure Lorgar understood that it had to be done, possibly even waiting until Lorgar got there, debated it out with him and explained that this was something that needed to happen, and then made Lorgar himself call in the orbital bombardments, so there was no one to blame.

Could also do with pointing out an empire the size of the galaxy will always need a massive army to fight xenos and rebels, there was never any chance of the legions getting trashcanned, the majority of the guard sure but it took a huge leap of stupid for the primarchs to worry about planned obselesience.

Please cover the Sabbat worlds crusade please
In terms of personality and understanding of lesser lived races the emperor would have more in common with Necrons and the Eldar then he does with humanity many members of those races have the same out look and perception of time as the emperor does the emperor was use to interacting with other long lived individuals who where use to talking and interacting on a scale of hundreds of years where they would go probably decades without seeing the other only to meet up again as if no time had passed at all between them. A good example i could point to in the lore would be the infinite and the divine book where Trayzn and Orikan interact with one another in a back and forth exchange over the course of thousands of years yet both of them always act as if it was only recently they had last interacted even though decades if not centuries pass between instances. I believe the emperor was likely use to similar such situations so for him being the human that he is it would be easy to simply view a few decades of silence and minimum interactions as just a brief period of time but his sons arnt like him they are young and don't yet share his same outlook they are like children in a way in the eyes of the emperor getting upset at what he views as just a brief moment in time insignificant against the long road ahead. Unfortunately for emps these children have bolters.

I am not the first to say this. The emporers actions only make sense if he knew that half his sons would betray him, but not exactly which ones. He made some asumptions on based on the state he found each in. Some were straight on such as Leman and the Lion for loyalists, but he had written off some of the primarchs as obviously going to turn traitor such as Angron or Kurze thus dooming them to that fate. Horus was the biggest suprise.

My issue with the Primarchs is that everyone expects the Emperor to put them over his knee and scold them like children. Like…they aren’t children. Some of them had conquered worlds and made empires without him, they were all grown adults by the time they were found, even more so by Ullanor. They all had their chances to grow, literal centuries to develop themselves as people and see themselves as individuals without focusing their entire lives around one slight by the Emperor.
The Emperor does not make mistakes, only those whom serve him make mistakes, or misinterpret His will. I believe the good KZreadr is due a visit from the Inquisition to investigate his potential heretical thoughts.
Youre bew models are dope bro
Mad respect to your work commitment my guy. keep up the grind
The biggest problem with the emperor is that he really didn't understand humanity. How could he? He was an immortal super being, completely out of touch and unaware of what being human meant. He didn't understand his son's needs, or humanity's impulse to worship things greater than them, or how many of his actions, no matter how noble or well thought out his reasons were, could foster resentment and hatred in people. For all his powers, the Emperor is a very flawed character, and that makes him interesting.

I have *so much beef* with how the Emperor handled Lorgar and Monarchia (at least in older lore), that it admittedly makes it hard for me to want to side with the Emperor on much of anything. On Colchis, there was a week long celebration of the Emperor’s arrival, celebrating his godhood. He did nothing to really try and drive the “Im not a god” point home, except basically only once going “Nah that aint me”. He said nothing else during the *week long* celebration. Initially in the lore, Lorgar barely got any warning for spreading the God-Emperor spiel. Maybe a few terse off-remarks to my memory. But what the Emperor did to Monarchia and the Word Bearers is equivalent to saying “Stop”, twice, in a very disinterested way, and not explaining his point in detail to his son, then immediately going from that to instructing his son’s more favored brother to blow up his house, and then personally taking a golf club to his knees. More recent lore, iirc, does try to have the Emperor deny it more, and have it fall on Lorgar being a thick-skulled choir boy and choosing not to listen. However, that bad taste in the mouth still remains.
Do a video on how you see the setting moving forward. Do you think the Emperor dies? Do you think the Eldar get the last crone sword? Do the Tau build an Evangelion and cause third impact?
So I was think about how lore says that angron couldn't be saved from the butchers nails but the emperor and malkador were able to revive jaghatai and could have done it to ferrus. Just wondering why we couldn't abort angron and try again withought the nails. What do you guys think? Better late than never huh?
