I wonder what the SAME headers decode to, also the EAS should say Civil Authorities and Civil Danger Warning. If it was realistic but I guess it’s part of the game so I don’t have to be realistic.

Came across this video looking for instances of EAS sounds to test a decoder program on haha. What my program spat out for this one was a Required Weekly Test broadcast by WTSP-FM at 12:15 AM, valid for 30 minutes for the Florida counties of Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota.

that's the point, it's a little easter egg

I'm pretty sure they aren't legally allowed to use the EAS tone. That is only supposed to be used to broadcast actual emergencies, you don't want to muddy the waters and have people not respond to the tone because they think it was just coming from a movie or a game

There are plenty of EAS mockups that use the tone, I’m pretty sure it’s okay to use it.

As long as you aren't airing it on live, you'll be fine. However, playing valid Emergency Alert tones on the air may activate real Emergency Alert System equipment which is punishable by a $250,000 fine or 10-12 years in federal prison
