The story of John Merrick is a classic tale of human resilience. Merrick suffered from a genetic disorder that made him appear monstrous. Oscar nominated Makeup FX Artist Ed French reads Sir Frederick Treves true story of how Merrick, exhibited in side shows and circuses, reviled and degraded, emerged a gentle, loving, dignified human being.

Love, love LOVE this SO much. The story of the life of John Merrick has always touched me deeply, in such a way as I cannot do justice in words. But you my friend, can and should be given the accolades you deserve for your absolutely flawless and obviously heartfelt telling of the life and death of this beautiful soul. Thank you so very much for all you do. I never tire of these gems, as they stand alone as absolute perfection 💜

beautiful reading - i think you reveal the feelings of the doctor who knew him. thus, your reading reveals also Merrick’s life and emotional quality. i’m so glad this doctor gave him a better life. thanks for deciding to read this. 🥀🌷 (i didn’t realize his body gave off an odor, too. hopefully, a bath would be a cure. that, in itself, is so upsetting. it really makes you want to believe in reincarnation. . . )

@@FrenchEdward06 that's a real shame because it was by far the best telling of a gripping story. Very weird behavior by the author's estate because your production of the novella as a reading/audiobook experience could only have brought the work into further dissemination, I know of a number who enjoyed it whilst it was up on KZread, so yeah, what a shame. But thanks for all your other work hopefully they might relent..... I can only guess they think 💬 you're diverting a possible bit of revenue but in the end they are cutting of their noses to spite their faces imo
