It's the 92-95 Honda Civic EG today, hatches, coupes, whatever Facebook marketplace decides to give us. Trim doesn't matter because every single one of these is b or k swapped and non-op under a carport somewhere in southern California.
The EG is the first VTEC Civic in the US, but it's a dang D series, the B16A doesn't make an appearance until 1996. 125HP to the front but hey man that teal is sick

The EGs had covers under the rear bumper that you can find for like $50 so you don't need speed holes on them

Yup!!!!
When I was stationed at nellis I saw an eg hatch on the 215 entering going mach speed quite literally the fastest car I’ve ever seen move on the street. It was going so fast that the whole rear bumper ripped off and flew 50 feet in the air. I guess vtec was so loud he didn’t notice lol but I would assume thats what those holes in the bumper are for. I wonder if it would have stayed if he had them? Love the content guys stay based

Holes allow for better flow under the chassis it's the kinda stuff like a wing that you will feel at high speeds.

That jump start cafeteria video is an instant classic😂
I think the speed holes might be so the bumper doesn’t catch and fly off. Not that most of them are going fast enough for that anyway.

Right. People who consistently drag race their cars will sometimes remove the rear bumper bar for weight savings off the rear of the car, which leaves a big parachute of a bumper cover flopping around back there. I doubt that anyone trapping under 100 mph would need to do all this. LOL
At the track hatchbacks blow the bumpers off all the time with out speed holes. of course nobody on the street would experience that. But that has been a honda thing since F&F.

Yeah they be saying the most random shit half the time as if we wanna put multiple bumpers on bc they don’t like the look. Gets expensive overtime actually after that second bumper for me.

Nice video the height of professionalism!
that intro unlocked a core memory of playing this game, cant remember the name but thank you ccf
DC5 or an rsx are nice but the issues that many enthusiasts have is the suspension is difficult to tune perfectly for track use and obviously the older Hondas are much lighter. Coming from someone’s who’s own both.
Man i want a EG so bad
Regarding the EG with Type R swap, the base RSX/Integra made about 160hp to the crank, like 150 to the wheels and the Type R K20 puts out about 205-215 to the wheels just with a header like the one installed, also revs faster and the Type R transmission has shorter gearing with LSD, its a night and day difference. 15k is too much for an EG imo, but its got the right parts tho, so cant blame the owner for asking that. Also, an EG with 215-220 whp Kswap and slicks is a high 12s car on the drag strip, its not slow by any means.

Yea it made me laugh when they were comparing the engine from an RSX to the horse power of an RSX
Glad i pick an EG 5speed for $800 a yr ago.
Good videos! Y’all should do one on foxbody mustangs !
Honestly tho if you can find an eg or ek with a k20/24 already swapped in it for under 10k, it would pretty much be worth it considering how availible and easy these things are to work on. Even an old b or h series is fine. Take off the rice and enjoy

The Civic Del Sol VTEC was the US version of the EG that came with a B16a2 (US spec B16) Same engine used in the 1999-2000 EM1 Si
I don’t like drilling holes in bumper but for drag racing i’ll take the rear bumper off my eg, surprisingly makes alot of difference for mph and definitely shaves a bit of time off down the strip. I like the idea of a functional diffuser though.
I just replaced my 5 series for a 30y old EG, happy to go back with Honda 💪👌
Love my EG. Got it for 800€ and a pack of Bratwurst👍
It's already been proven that speed holes actually do more harm than good....fuckin hate that shit
how tf Feeds voice always sound like hes smiling?
Netgear 😂 you made my day
We did get the B16s in the higher trim Del Sol’s and EM1s

2:02 - I mean you could have a civic “GLORY HOLE” party…… 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Correct me if im wrong but the speedholes might give you a mpg or a couple mpg's
would love to get your thoughts on my 95 Civic coupe all stock.

Coupes are dope, the EX model was pretty much an Si, came with the same motor in the EG hatchback Si. The Coupes were also in the opening of FnF. Go with what ever body style you like, hatch, coupe, sedan. I dig all three body styles each look great.
How long do yall take to ship orders havent gotten a response ::
The stock k series can hold an Insane amount of boost. There’s not a lot of cars you can get 100+ hp per cylinder
found a bone stock 1994 dx for only $1,500 and in mint condition too, sadly it got sold
1:53 that civic actually came into the dealership I worked at for its oil change. That thing was a Piece of shit and you had to really time it right to get it actually running and started. Techs would take turns trying to get it started and it took about 4 of them to get it running rofl.
2002 RSX-S was 206hp/200ish torque

The speed holes are because your rear bumper acts like a parachute. The best thing to do is smooth bottom the whole car with some super thin gauge sheet metal. Now everyone in the comments can shhhhhhhhhhuuuuuuddduuuuuuuupp.
I am about to put a k2.3 turbo in my first gen Subaru Legacy😂 She is going to fly
Wow the motor out of an RSX has similar HP to an RSX? Who would of known? And they never made 240 hp lmao
Wait you can buy parts cars with an b series for like 3 grand ? I definitely live in the wrong country

OK, I'm 99/100 in agreeance with you guys but the "speed holes "you guys always dog on are a real thing, those bumpers are literal curved plastic and if any air coming through there hits that it'll obv* slow the car down... I don't get why people who are supposed to know shit about cars dogs on a good job and innovation to make your car faster and more efficient.

I do not understand why people post videos of themselves beating the hell out of a car when they sell it. If I see that the car spent its life being abused that makes me less likely to buy it, not more likely.
