THE ECOBOOST MOTOR IS IN

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Got the motor in and started plumbing some things. Also mounted up the cup car pump and ran a bunch of lines. Excited to see it fit correctly and start finalizing some fab and items needed to make it run!
Big ups to BC Racing for bringing this awesome build to life!

I would make those front fenders in steel. You could then take moulds off them for infinite supply of spares. The shape looks like two stock metal ones could be cut up to get the well right. Crash protection in the 70'S was carrying a rubber in your wallet and a lap belt lol.

Are your caster camber plates under the shock tower instead of on top? I cut my wheel well and move it forward 2 inches and just filled the gap in the rear.

What if you cut the fenders tight to the arch on the rear and further out up front, then swap the cutouts from side to side to move the wheel arch forward.

The sound of that engine is not great from the factory, agreed! A good selection of resonator/muffler type/intake manifold can change a lot tho! Could be raspy and tinny, or growly and burbly. I haven't heard a trumpety/VTEC/VR sound from one, but I bet it can be engineered. The 5.0 LX had the coolest dual tip exhaust imo from that era. They had the twin angle cut stainless 2.5in straight. The GT I thought looked dopey with the derp bumper and the turn downs. Dang that's gonna be a cool combo. Have you thought about doing an SVO style hood as a subtle nod?

Please use a fan shroud if you are worried about heat, it makes the fan 2-3x more efficient. If you are really concerned about the fan blocking airflow you can make holes with flaps in the shroud that open with enough air speed.

While I do agree about the shroud and I run fully shrouded fans that are engineered for drifting on most of my cars. I put one of these fans on one of our school cars just like this and it worked unreal well. So I’m debunking stuff and trying things.

@@chelseadenofa In my personal experience i had unshrouded fans on my car and it would overheat at curisng speeds 30-50 but I put a shroud on it as well as big fans and it works amazing. It has the pass through holes as well. But It is a miata and the kit is from flyin miata so it's a tested kit, I can't say the same for a mustang and a diy shroud but just my 2 cents, I'm sure you'll figure out what's best.

Vaughnss Foxboddy is a Hatch so there is different dimensions that might mess up the body kit. Also Vaughns car was built over 6 years ago the body kit might not even be in production anymore unfortunately which could be why he hasn't fixed the body damage from over the years.
