Was a great show, my first time exhibiting there as well ^.^ The B-17 and BF109-G6 diorama, Valour Over Victory at 11:30 is my work ^.^ Thanks so much for having it in your video. Consequently, since I built that pairing 4 years ago, I have built them in 1/48 for the karting club clubhouse at Kimbolton where Ye Olde Pub took off from on 20/12/43 for its encounter with Franz Stigler

Yes, I'm looking forward to next year already. Your B-17 / Bf 109 G-6 combo did stand out, I really like the way you did the damage on the B-17, the story is a well known one which I had only read about recently, so it was great to see the diorama. I like the thought of you having another, larger diorama displayed on the former airfield where the real B-17 flew from, it makes it extra special. I live close to Boxted Airfield, so have built a few Thunderbolts from the 56th FG, but none of them tell a story, like your diorama does.. :)

Thank you ^.^ I should have a fully updated and revised version of the 1/72 models ready by next years show. The ones I took to Peterborough are being retired from the show circuit and donated to the control tower museum at Seething where Ye Olde Pub made her emergency landing. Battle damage isn't often shown on model aircraft it seems. As for the 1/48 pairing, there's a video I made about the building of them and also of when they were handed over to the karting club on 11th Nov 2023 ^.^

Many thanks for sharing your photos of the show, it looks like a very good one indeed! Hope you had a great time there mate :) I had the pleasure to stay at a B&B near Telford last year and the other people who had rented a room there were actually from the Peterborough club, very open and friendly lads, who accepted us German modellers right away. They told me about their show in March and obviously i would have loved to attend it, but there is only so much time and money available...one day i hope i can make it happen :) Glad you took the time to tocument it all so nicely, so i could see what it is like. Seems like they let their German side show through, judging by the vendor sign in the beginning of the video haha!!

You're welcome.. and yes, I did notice the sign, I thought it was quite funny!! :) I am however a bit annoyed with myself.. I missed the main Peterborough show table, they had a smaller one in the same hall we were in, but their main one was right by the entrance. When we walked in, I had carried my boxes for some distance as we were late getting there and had to park at another location and I didn't notice their table at the entrance. It was a bit away from the main show halls and I missed it again when I walked between the various rooms so I only saw it as I was carrying my boxes out again. I had hoped to take some photos of the Peterborough people, to see if you recognised any of them.. so I can only apologise for that missed opportunity. Other than that it was a great show, it was in a new location that we couldn't find to start with, which is why we got there a bit late. I bought a few kits like the Italeri 1/35 Panzerwerfer 42 Auf Maultier, a set of two Italeri 1/35 German Sd. Anhänger 51 'utility wagons'' and a much wanted 1/72 Airfix Scottish Aviation Bulldog. The Bulldog cost me £14, on ebay they trade for £30, because it is a very rare kit these days. I will build the Swedish Sk61 trainer version, an aircraft I have seen as many of, as I have seen Drakens. I also bought some shrubbery, glue, brushes, clamps and a cutting mat. Could easily have spent a fortune with the traders, but did the sensible thing and didn't take too much money.. :)

It was a great show, with plenty of models displayed and great traders, some had kits at great prices, others charged a lot. I bought a few kits, including a Panzerwerfer 42 in 1/35. I didn't spend too much money.. :)

Yes, I finally finished!!! I watched every minute of it and I enjoyed all of it!!! Thank you very much for uploading this long video. What I like about it the best is that you showed not only pictures of the models but also the people too. Over the years, I saw only models from other channels, and I get tired of it because the models look all the same to me. But when I get to see pictures of people who made the models, the model looks more interesting because I see someone made it! 😀😀The most interesting model was the poor man being corporal punished on time 11.02. I was surprised someone would model that. Yikes! Anyway, I truly enjoyed this video. It's as if I was there.

Glad you enjoyed it.. I decided to share all the photos I took in the end, bar the blurred ones, although one blurred pictured did manage to sneak in. I wanted to share the rooms as well so that people viewing could get an idea of the space, the tables and the crowds. It was very crowded to start with but it eased off and some of the 'people' photos were taken more towards the end. There were some models I couldn't take photos of because people were in the way every time I tried, but that is part of the show, some models do attract a lot of interest and people want to talk about them. I won't go to another show until May now, which is just as well.. You can have too much of a good thing! :) But this was a great show and I am pleased with what I saw and my purchases. :)

That would have been great.. A couple of people gave me funny looks, but no one came up to say hello, nor did I recognise anyone, bar the usual suspects that I see at most shows. I think the Mildenhall Show in May is the next one I will (hopefully) be able to attend.
