This is exactly how my Home-Ec teacher taught us to put a zipper in over 50 years ago.

My teacher taught us the same a year ago but with a hand made "Point de bâtie"... Much easier with a machine using the longest stitch

I don't have home ec even though I'm in highschool. I don't think they teach it anymore.

I've never learned how to add zippers but I KNOW it's usually more difficult than this so I am SO thankful I found this right when I decided to finally learn 😅
This is the best zipper tutorial I’ve found online

I learned that about 7 years ago in a sewing class. I had to take a refresher, after not sewing for years.
