The Easiest Way to Paint Boats in Your Seascape

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The thought of painting boats used to be a non-starter. There's so much detail and I would never have the patience. But if we paint them as a silhouette and just focus on the main shape they suddenly become achievable and available to all. This simple technique can be used by anyone who wants to place some boats in their seascape. So grab your brushes and give it a go. It's not a difficult as you think. Just a little practise and you'll be fine.

Stephen i have only just started painting at the late age of 67, not saying I’m finding it easy because its not but you guys make it look so easy and inspiring. Personally I’m finding mixing paint the hard bit, but i love the way you use so few colours and end up with such fantastic results. Sorry to have to tell you i hit the dislike button by mistake, i wanted to see what the four people before me didn’t like but it doesn’t tell you (i did say i was getting on in years lol). Stay safe man.

  • @StevenCronin

To be honest Diane, most of the time there's no specific reason for doing what I'm doing - I paint by instinct without really thinking about it. Sometimes it comes off and sometimes it doesn't but thanks for watching and best wishes.
