2 things I would add would be after you cut the roots take a fork & comb through the remaining roots. It cleans out the debris in the mass, also add several quirts of hydrogen peroxide to keep the roots clean & bacteria free. But a good video either way.

Это неплохой метод умничка, чтобы проще вставлять - совету разрезать вдоль трубочку для напитков, вложить туда корень и с её помощью продеть в отверстие

Love it! Interesting the cuttings seem to outgrow the seedling with roots. I figured the smaller plants with roots would have been the leader. Thanks for showing the root trim would not have thought of that.
Sorry your video said you planned on doing during colder months very cool - I will search for any video you may have where this was shared. Great work they look amazing
So you don't have to cover with the doubled sides insulation using this way? I love this! Thank you!

It’ll be better to have extra protection from heat. In this case, the set up gets afternoon shade. Also, the buckets were opaque enough to block the algae growth that’s why I did not cover it with some insulation.🌱😊
Fantastic!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
I'm gonna try this for sure!!
How to grow without Masterblend ? I can't bye this product in France! Help
Very cool I would love to try. Have you ever tried this also through the winter perhaps using some grow lights in garage? Curious is all
I am trying this method and I am getting plenty of roots but the leaves are not growing.

Love this! Can't wait to see your celery one. I've had seeds for a year now and just not started it yet.

Thank you! A little tip ahead on celery. If you watched the Garlic video, it's almost the same method except you can sow multiple seeds directly into one cup then once they grow up to two inches start transplanting in each cup. They do well in morning sunlight and afternoon shade or even no direct sunlight just in a well lighted area like side porch. I hope it helps!🌱🙂

Thank you.
Awesome 👏
What is the nutrient solution you use? Also, do u need to change water often or no?
Which performed better, seedling ot cuttings
Hello, great videos, very inspiring. I would like to try hydroponic growing in containers, but I would like an explanation of how to handle the water-nutrient... every now and then replace the whole thing with a new one or add portions of the conditioner in small doses at a certain time?

It varies depending on what type of system, plants or size of container you use. Typically, I just refill when necessary specially if you are growing leafy green or herbs. For instance, when growing lettuce in one gallon container you may need to refill at least once until harvest. With fruiting plants like tomatoes, peppers and others grown in a five-gallon bucket require more frequent refills. Once these plants begin flowering and setting fruit, their nutrient uptake increases significantly, so I refill at least 2x a week. This is optional not everyone follow the same approach but vegetable with long growth like tomatoes, I clean the container and replace nutrients 2x throughout the growth period until harvest. I hope this helps!🌱🙂

Some herbs like spearmint wouldn't work in hydroponic because it doesn't like to overwatered?
i just have a question ... can we use compost tea in hydroponic kratky method ?

I haven't experimented with it yet but I saw some people shared and tried them.🌱🙂

@@healinghobbies can you please try it and share the result with us because if kratky method dosent need the water to be changed ... so with organic fertilizer there will be an anerobic media for roots and i think that will cause rot even if oxygen is available at the top
would you be willing to share how big is this bucket? looks like a 10 or 20L bucket

Sure, it’s a 2 gallon bucket around 7.5L🌱😊
Do you use the same nutrient concentration as for leafy greens, or fir tomatoes?

Yes for leafy greens🙂🌱
Question, if you are starting from cuttings, do you start with just plain water until there are roots? Or can they take the nutrient solution right away?

Could this same method (using the drill, not using netcups ect) work for leaf lettuce?
@healinghobbies
Жыл бұрын
Yes but maybe drill half an inch hole since lettuce has a bigger/multiple stems and use a sponge or rockwool to support it🌱🙂.
