I’m not sure this works anymore. The AI seems so much better than what I see in this video. Drak and 2 shamans triggering a phase change? Not anymore, comp summons grunts and necros right underneath ony and drak gets murdered

@@RomitStorys I regularly was able to push phases with 2 level 27 draks and 2 level 25 shamans. do you have the scales talent on drak? if not, the shammys go down a little too easily. For that push, it really helps to make sure the shammy buff goes to the drak.

Killed her today - thanks Bulava! Managed to kill both mini bosses and had around 1:30 Min remain. Here is what I learned during the fight that helped me the most: - keep track of egg timer and deploy drake 14 seconds before spawning - switch drake talent to stationary talent - pause game multiple times to keep track of what’s going on on the map - skeletons also at 2nd tower upper right place Cheers!

There was a strat back in beta when you would lock quilboar the same way and buff it with cycle smoke bomb for 6 mins. Then he would be level 80 and just one shot Ony :D But It was in beta

Thank bro:) Yes you can, but! If Onyxia spawns eggs right on your WD he won't be able to survive. Drake will kill everything no matter where the eggs are .

Idk wth m doing different, my shaman is 1 or 2 levels lower but my drak can barely make it to the third tower before dying and then i have troop coming in from the right to the mid tower and im struggling to keep that

You can play it without moving. Just need another opening. There is a rumor that you can change that by moving units between slots but I've never tried it

If you haven't beat it yet, I was in a similar boat. I had to drop bandits, pyro, kobold, shammy, and then drak. It was quite the dance to get the start going smoothly.

Weird i get a lot of gryphon riders and can’t beat ony with this deck.

can you do with level 24 pyro and 24 shaman? my drakk. drake, and whelps are 27. party is 23 and bandits are like 25 maybe. army level: 25.0 im afraid i have some overkill and my pyro will be unable to trade with necro. i think ill have to spend my last 8000 on pyro purple

Onyxia gets higher gold generation with each phase, so it's not just your impression, she really has more gold so she spawns more.

Did work for me, lame mistake, somehow set wrong skill for Drakk, passed Onyxia within 24h with this guide. Its much better and easier than with Rand or whatever! Thank you Bulava!

I've got your deck, some units even on higher level, but i'm finding difficult time defending the grunts and the necromancer. I can hold the first phase and trigger the second one whenever i want, but on the second phase i am getting overwhelmed by the units. Have they changed anything in the recent patches, or it's just my skill level?

I feel you. I was talked into party. Less than a week later I got filet and knew right away I fucked up because that turret obviously could use stationary body guards.

What if you insta get chests with skeletons and replace bandits with dark iron miner? Seems like better max gold potential mining more gold and getting chests without wasting time.

Bandits give 4 gold and cost 1 so you net 3 gold every single time whereas skeletons cost 4 for the initial one and then after that will net 2 gold per and you risk losing them so even when the skeletons are already there you are losing 1 gold every time. Bandits also help you cycle and stun enemies. A bandit player has a 5 gold advantage over a skeleton player after the first chest and then 1 more gold after each chest later

Can you explain the Rend way? I have all my units leveled for it but still cant hit it. I dont like drak at all and shaman is only good with him. So thats 2 units i really dont want to invest in. 😢 And at laaaast i see some recognition for Pyromancer. She is my most played mini after eggs/boar. She is a beast and can help in many missions.

Does not work for me, I always get drake with gryphon once drakk get to onyxia, shamans get killed by onyxia from first kick... it sucks, it keeps spining up something once drakk is near onyxia... and thats when I have all units 27...

Did anyone actually kill this without a purple Drak/Shaman? Both of mine are 24 and Drak doesnt survive the deathball even with 2 shaman

I’m pretty sure this got patched. My 24 drak with 3 shamans cannot survive onyxia long enough to trigger a new phase. And it takes two 24 shamans with initial drak to be able to take the 3 towers

The difference between damage and health of both minis and heal of shamans with lvl 24 instead of 26 is massive, 26 all those values are 21% higher than at 24

Doesnt seem to work with lvl 25 drakki and shaman. Maybe i am just bad. Or maybe onyxia low lvl clear is just about timing and luck. Edit: Cleared at lvl 26 drakki and shaman on 7-8 tries

Can you tell me what were the two mistakes you said? (coz my poor englsih listening skill...)

@@awake6301 I say that if you have 2 shamans your Drakki might phase switch Onyxia and we don't need that until the time comes. so you need to have only one shaman so Drakki dies faster and Onyxia doesn't lose too much HP. Where is the second mistake?

I'm trying a lot this guide, I think maybe you need Drak at 26, trying with 25 and he has a hard time triggering the phases, even with 2 level 27 shamans

@@BulavaWarcraftRumble Short answer: If I can unlock Onyxia at level 5, and It requiers level 21 to defeat it, YES. Long answer: It's a flaw in design, not a matter of taste. If you can reach 100 stamps to unlock Onyxia under level 26, you should be able to fight against It in a similar or a little above that level. But current situation IS an artificial block, makes no sense. So it's not what IS good for me, IS what makes the Game fun, and the curve of farming not a nightmare.

Sorry, but this guide just doesn't work. If it does, can you make like 10 Onyxia kills in a row with different beginning hands, demonstrating what you mean by "easiest"? And what do you mean by proper execution, without "mistakes" that lead to this victory? If it has been done on stream, can someone please give a link to the record?1 My party is 26,1 with skeletal party being 24, 27 lvl Drakkisath, 27 lvl pyro and 27 lvl whelps - I couldn't do it in whole day, after hundreds attempts. In my hand Drakkisath comes as 8th unit by the way, so I can play him at 5:40 at best as the fifth unit. After I already spawned bandits, dragon, kobold and skeletal party. Even when I get extremely lucky doing everything ideally at best I can make it to phase 3, but never past it. Skeletons cost a lot but they are just not enough to hold enemy waves in phases 2 and 3, so I feel that's the money spent ineffectively.

​​@@BulavaWarcraftRumblemaking few kills may just prove, that this strategy is consistent and not luck based. As far as I know starting hand rotates every time you win a fight, so getting different kills with different starting hands wouldn't be a problem, if it really is. I've read all the comments and found some other people, for whom it doesn't work either. Found an interesting suggestion - to replace whelps with huntress, it seems to work a bit better for me, cause huntress (mine is lvl 26) can situatively take place of a drake (clearing whelps) or pyromancer (dealing with necro and other enemies) and her several targets damage helps to deal with Onyxia spam in 2 and 3 phase. Will try it this way today. Though this fight remains to be insanely difficult. Maybe a little better than Rend one (with Rand I couldn't get to 3 phase, with this could make it to phase 3 two or three times losing there), but definetly not a free win as it is described here.

It's because it no longer works. They either nerfed these minis and Drak for this fight or they ramped up the fight. It sucks because I could get a draw every time when this awesome guide came out but my Drak and Shaman were only lvl 24 so I had to take a break spend some money and get them up to 26. Here I am 2 weeks later thinking yes Im finally ready.... Nope the fcks buffed the fight again.

​@BulavaWarcraftRumble Okay, I take my words back. It took me two weeks of practicing, but I managed to kill this b*tch with this exact setup. I was 5 seconds before timer, but I managed to kill both wardens and prepare really huge death ball. To be honest, lvl 27 drakkisath seems like a problem, it's too hard to not trigger phase transition if you drop him with shaman and pyro in the field, main problem for me became balancing between securing battlefield and not triggering phase shifting to fast. It is possible. Though my army was lvl 26.1, with Drakk, Pyro and eggs lvl 27, shaman and Drake 26 and skeletons 24. There are some tricks that are not being told in this video - like proper eggs and skeleton placement, but other than that it took me 2 or 3 weeks of trial and error, afterwards I was successfully triggering phase 3 almost every game. The timing of phase 2 transition was between 2:30 and 3:00, phase 3 - after overtime.

This is after days of trying with rend decks.

Blizz shadow fixed it. It’s not working anymore. Drakki dies a lot faster. But instead of eggs i did it with huntress instead.

Blizzard must have changed this in the past few days because I get Orc Grunts spawning now and I didn't see those in your kill. I'm playing it the exact same way, same units, same talents, same levels. Blizzard is such a fkn a-hole! They don't want people to beat it because they will stop playing and spending money until new content comes out. It's totally obvious! I hate that fkn company ever since Activision took over.

​@@tryptophanks2206 this doesn't change his revelation. They definitely hot fixed it. The phase switches have way more spawns. I use to be able to get to a draw every time when this guide came out. I spent a bunch of money to get Drake and Shaman up to his guides level and now I can't even come close to getting a draw. It takes two Draks to trigger phase 2 then all hell breaks loose and I can't even hold off all of the mobs.
