Not sure if you are able to read all the comments, if so I'll leave our trout, red fish mangrove snapper recipe for you. Use same size fillet as you used in this video and line your cookie sheet just like you did. Get some real mayo( not any light kind ) and you want to smear it over the whole fillet. You want to coat the fish pretty good. Then you can use most any seasonings but we like S&P, season salt, garlic salt and cajun seasoning. My mom always used paprika but for some reason we kind of strayed away from that. Last thing if you like spicy things then sprinkle some cayenne pepper on top. You want to put oven rack on top shelf and set oven to broil. once oven is preheated put it in the oven for about 10-12 min. The mayo should start to get golden brown to a blackening color. The fish will be super moist and flavors are incredible. For anyone that dislikes mayo you won't taste any mayo at all. If you have a cookie cooling rack you can put that on top of the foil and place fish on that , it keeps the fish out of the oil that cooks off. The oil and juices dont bother me at all but some people trying to eat healthier this might be for them. good luck .

That looks scrumptious. I have one recipe that is also super easy. Take filets of what ever fish you have, season with whatever you like. Put half the filets down on foil and place thin slices of lemon and onion on the filets. Put another filet on top of the lemon/onion slices. Fold up the foil to make sealed pouches and throw on the grill for about 10 min on each side. What’s good about this recipe is that you can substitute anything and everything to your hearts desire.

Old Chief here again. I mentioned the flounder stuffed with crab meat. Here is another recipe. Flounder with shallots. 1 Tbsp unsalted butter, 8 shallots, peeled and halved lengthwise, 1/4 cup dry white wine or clam juice, flounder filets, salt and pepper to taste. Preheat oven 375. Melt butter in a heavy oven proof skillet over medium heat. Sauté shallots 2- 3 minutes until they begin to soften. Remove from heat and add wine and flounder. Salt and pepper. Bake in oven about 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily. Enjoy

Awesome recipe Ms Heidi, looks amazing! Suggestion for a later experiment (not intended as a critique!)....in place of Lemon Pepper Seasoning, try Lime Pepper Seasoning; used to be available from the bigger spice companies like Tones but they discontinued it. my source nowadays is Tulsa Spice Market, about 4.5 hr away from me (central AR) but they do ship and make some AMAZING spice blends!! I tend to use the Lime Pepper on fish, chicken and it is absolutely incredible simply crusted on a burger, whether beef or venison!! 😛😋🥰

I wish you great luck and love in quitting your substance issues. I understand the battle. I had an issue with weed beer and nicotine for 10 years it grew worse and worse and was in a bad place. I'm 26 now and cold turkey quit and have been sober for 1 year and 3 months from everything. Jesus Christ is amazing and will help you through your addictions and I pray over you and your family for God's protection 🙏

Thanks Heidi! I always enjoy seeing different ways of cooking fish. I like taking the flounder and cutting/filleting down the lateral line until there's two nice size flaps of meat that form a nice pocket. Take your choice of stuffing (I like Stove Top Stuffing) and fill the pocket full of the stuffing. Then drizzle with fresh lemon juice and finish it with several some garlic butter and then bake! Yum!! The squash is a great choice for side!!👍

@user-so1mv9po2f when I was 13, we had a pond that had a lot of growth around it. My mom's dog could walk across quite a bit of the pond that summer when the water was low. It was really shallow in most parts. I cleared some brush and cut a few limbs because no one had fished the pond. We had no idea what was in it. We always fished our back pond. It was fed by a creek so we knew there would be fish in it. I tossed out a 1 ounce weight to drag across the bottom. There was one deep trench that ran across the pond that was only about 5 feet wide, but maybe 10 feet deep in the deepest part. I went and found some bait. I caught fish about every 30 seconds. Bass and some decent catfish. The bass were so thick that I was catching them on blades of grass and then I even caught 2 on an empty hook. We ended up moving fish from that pond out to our back pond. That was the day that I learned to not judge a pond until I had fished it. Seeing Heidi's farm pond, I got pretty interested in seeing more fishing from it

Back when I was about the same age I would look arrow heads in this small field that had a tiny spring fed pond. Something big made a splash as I walked by it. Next time I went out there took some line and a hook and caught some huge bass and bream out of that puddle@@joemattox7525

I cook as I clean also..when my wife cooks, I clean. It's all I'm good for, haha! Flounder is an odd fish indeed. Sometimes I see things and ask "who was the first person to eat that" like Lobster and Cray Fish..what about snail and tripe? I miss the ocean, the smell, the seafood the fishing. At least I got the Colorado Mountains as my play ground but I wanted to be a Marine Biologist since I was young. By High School I was doing well in biology class but a Jacque Cousteau show came on and I seen the huge eye of a whale just below their raft and I was shocked then, of course, JAWS came out. That broke my dream but now I own an aquarium store and specialize in African Cichlids...ho hum...what could've been! Nice dish, by the way!
