I thought a bigger open size incentivizes us to 3 bet more than call...

Thanks. The general rule is that when they open bigger, we continue less (i.e. we fold more). Exploitatively, we can then raise more of our continuation range, but I think GTO would not flat less and raise more, but would just do less of both because we're getting a worse price.

@@ArtigianPoker makes sense. Cut bottom range, 3 bet top range, call with upper middle range. Then that leads to the question, what about the polarized 3 bet range from BB?

actually flopped double gutted with the J9s. besides that fact that you couldn’t identify the straight draw properly, i thought you could’ve made some better plays in this session

Thanks! It’s actually not that easy spotting things when you do live commentary. But you are right, I could definitely have made a few better decisions. I analysed it later, and there were a few spots that weren’t ideal.

Started in zoom 6 months ago, getting my ass hand to me in micros. This last month I made over 2k in 50NL normal tables 6 seat. Jesus hell it was a grind and a big difference in skill, heads up display, and other programs, charts, solvers etc that can be used, I've decided fuck it I'm going to casinos to do live. My day job pays about 6k a month and I would gladly do that over grinding online at low and medium stakes. I can't imagine what higher stakes players are like, probably monsters at the game, but I've seen people in live games be complete whales with far more money. I wish you all the best online but holy crap it's a tough field to play against.

yeah casino >>> normal online tables >>>>> zoom. Zoom just seems insanely pointless to me. When you find especially bad players, you can't target them because you just get lost in the pool fighting against 90% regs.

@@CosmicAeon Also the rake and all that jazz. Exchange fees on my cashouts have totaled about 100 dollars in the last couple months. It's just not worth it to play online in my opinion. It has its perks, but if you can go to a casino, do that. Online is just tough, rake is high, no bad beat pots, no good laughs and people you can actually befriend, so much toxicity online (although its worse in video games lol so not a big deal), no free meals and drinks, no nothing online. Just tough players facing tough players, and there are fish but it's not the easiest thing to scoop them up when you're swimming with so many sharks that are so fuckin good at the game lol

Thanks, I love your message! And I agree, it is such a grind. At these low stakes, it is quite hard to make a living. If you enjoy making 6k at your day job, then there is no reason to grind these stakes. I absolutely prefer live poker, no question about that. I only play online for training purposes and getting some content for the channel. I have my other (bigger channel) for live poker play, and that is my bread and butter. Good luck at the tables though!

Absolutely! I think Zoom is pretty pointless too. I only play zoom for training purposes and to get content for the channel, but I would never grind zoom otherwise.

Excellent message, thank you! Everything you said is so true. And I think that your comment about exchange fees is really important and hardly ever gets mentioned. You pay a fee when you cash in and then again when you cash out. And their exchange rate really is poor. I only play online for training purposes and to get content for my channel, but I much prefer to play live. I have another channel dedicated to live play, which is my bread and butter.
