My weakest part is my driver. I'm always topping it now... It pisses me since it used to be the strongest part of my game.

My weakest part is mental strength… to always do things with consistency with the right mental state with the right swing set-up every shot… may it be driver, woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, putter… I know how to do a good shot but to do it again and again, every single swing, is so hard for me.

Well, today up on the range I tried this out, here are my results… Much straighter line. Surprisingly much lower spin, the ball just ran for miles. Longer carry distance. Easier to align shots. Less guess work. When the ball did go to the right I only had to make a small adjustment in the takeaway path to fix the problem. But the biggest plus was this. I started to be able to hit the ball with the power from my shoulder! Who knew 😮 the hands did very little, I did not need to manipulate the club very much if at all. As I swung down I could feel the club impacting the ball either just before my shoulder for a draw, at the same moment for a straight shot and just behind for a fade. It was a really magical feeling. By the way, the pre-setting of the follow through also works amazingly for irons too. I think it’s because I am now able to forget hitting the ball totally and concentrate on the swing path and therefore the impact and follow through just seem to happen as coincidence 👍 nice vid Mark. I’ve followed you from your first video back in Exeter, WHY DID’T YOU TELL ME YEARS AGO???? 🤣🤣🤣

thaniks mate. this latest series of vids are so insightful and explain complex swing theory in a way that average golfers can understand and employ through your excellent drills. I have even started going to the range because i was really excited to try them. I've been a habitual driver slicer for 40 yrs and these drills have totally transformed my game from the tee. And you are right good positions and angles bleed over into your irons aswell. My strikes have improved with them immeasurably. Still cant chip for shit though.

You fixed my driver swing and I’d been lost for months. Tried to apply it to my irons as well and was having slight trouble with hitting under the ball. I was getting tired when that became a problem though. Thanks!

This is my favorite drill now and I literally start this way on the range now. it’s a wonderful feeling to start your practice with a couple of good drives! And the irons, woods and hybrids benefit fom inas well! The only struggle left is getting some speed into this drill.

One discovery I made from watching friends who slice off the tee. Is their parallax issue. If u tell them to put an alignment stick 10 yrd in front them what they think is straight to their driver face. 90% of them will had it 10degree inside. So when they go hit the ball, they are actually cutting the ball across even they are NOT trying to. Then when u move the stick to straight, they are all amazed and said that's like aiming so far right of the fairway.

He's using one of those ultra expensive Auto-flex shafts. If we all could afford the equipment he uses, we wouldn't need his videos. If these "pros" on youtube had to use 2nd hand equipment like most of us, they'd realize the results they achieve are completely different based on top of the line equipment, so their ideas for videos should account for that.
