Bro I got into this match with a toxic Rambo who just kept spamming the c4 type bomb so I couldn't wait in front of him or try to throw anything because he would also spam the rope thing where it catches your legs and just kept using the c4 bomb that's it

My favorite character in MK history is Rain, so I'd really like to see him in more games, and I'd like to see him be really good. But I also love to see how flashy he is and that he isn't considered "Braindead" in MK11. I really do like him in mk11.

@@djd7402 I hate that Rain is damn near a joke character without both Geyser Palm and Hydro Boost equipped. He can barely punish without GP since that’s the only decent way to combo from 133, while HB is his only good way to combo without side switching. His Geyser Kick also scales too much to be worthwhile.

My only disagreement is with Scorpion kinda smart, this character is like the easiest thing to learn you give a newbie a controller in training mode and 15min later he's ready for online, just my opinion. I love your content, keep this quality man, thx for the great video. Greetings from Brazil.

I agree with Erron Black. He’s a very good mixer when you know how to properly use his abilities and proper setups.

Nightwolf is such a hard character to main but I do it. He's rising tomahawk move should be 1 slot or apart of his primary.

I don't play Mk11 but if I did I would main Kollector once I had the basics of the games figured out. I don't know why but "dude with 6 arms" just seems like a cool character to play regardless of his actual value in the lore.

When I played MK11 I mained kotal and played jax and nightwolf as secondary characters. Can confirm kotal is braindead because even though my win rate was way more consistent with him I had more fun with jax and nightwolf lol

So glad theres finally a content creator that doesnt think Scorpion is braindead. At least when fighting someone of equal or close to equal skill. I get frequent hate messages after ranked sets when i play him (I use Misery blade + Sin blade) of people saying that he is easy and takes no skill. His moveset is easily blockable and punishable, literally block low and thats 95% of his moveset blocked. And his overheads are all reactable. Scorpion has to work pretty hard to open opponents up when the opponent actually knows how the character works.

Finally some respect on my guy scorpions name. If you are playing at a high level you CANNOT rely on scorpion as some type of crutch. Doing the shit that people complain is spamming or OP at higher levels will get you a one way ticket to Punish town. He’s a very high risk high reward player when you’re facing people who actually know how to punish him and counter him properly

Johnny Cage mains are definitely skilled, well rounded players. Can’t really be mad if you lose to them.

Scorpion needs no brain at all, he gets more spammed then Sub Zero..

I played lot of scorpion recently, and it depends what level at you are. At high level, you has to play him really carefully, because at that level lot of people know his punishible move. But in lower ranks, you can afford to play with him not that carefully, because they dont know what string are punishiable.

I will go out on a limb and say Sindel is probably the character I would recommend if someone asked me where to start. Definitely brain dead kind of character.

Absolutely agree with this list. I've come out of a 7 month break away from the game and am in the process of making Rambo my new main. It truly takes some brain power to win with Rain though, if you're playing someone of equal skill level.

Bro, Frost, Kitana and Shang are not kinda easy. You might haven’t faced great players with these ones. There are amazing strategies if you custom the variation. Also, the cancel of Shang with the projectile is hard. Jax kinda smart? Really? Easy KB The fastest FB in the game. People in general use three strings with him and that’s it.

Jax is way easier to use than katana. I play him without a care in the world but when I pick up katana or frost I have to think about what I can string together at what moment because katanas combos are long and not high damage(easy to fuck it up for small reward if you get them right). And frost is similar but to a lesser extent. Jax, u just run up and cycle through a few grabs and base combos and you can easily win without even thinking about combo extensions.

As a Noob main, I seriously suggest running a Kustom Variation with Sickle Snag

I had just recently bought the DLC characters and Rain wasn’t all that hard to master his move set was fairly easy to memorize PS: I will admit Shang Tsung took a bit of practice to master though lol

jacqui takes hella skill because her combos are hard to do and they sometimes don’t even connect, her having not good range with no projectiles and giving her a super bad mid projectile, while yes she is no skill she is definitely is skill based

My favorite Mk 11 character is sub -zero because i love how he freeze people and I love how he’s so much battle iq he’s my favorite

I dont play mk11 so maybe this opinion isn't the best, but looking at this list, every character is pretty strong in their own right, only a few characters that aren't really that good, the kinda smart category doesn't mean they're bad, just a higher skill gap. Devs did good on balancing

I think Sindel is no skill with Hair Kut and Low Scream, but Banshee Dash + Deadly Echo Sindel needs more brain power and it’s really fun to use.

Only thing I wouldn't agree with would be Dvorah (heavily biased since she's my main). The jump 1 is busted but it can be easily anti-aired. Also if you have the poop bug you can play a bit safer. Maybe 200iq or hight Kinda Smart tier.

I'm a D'vorah main and I also watch AND UNDERSTAND Ricky and Morty. That's a 400 IQ thing... just sayin'...

I think Erron Black is kinda tricky, he does require to activate your brain if you need to find how to open up your opponent, but at the same time you can just spam all most popular options the whole game like f4, b222, slide, scud shot etc and be happy with it. Also like for Rain, I'm ao happy you picked up my main recently :) Rain is the reason why I've started to play MK11, the way they designed this character is out of this world

I've been using Kollector in Towers of Time, and I am having fun with this character. Y'all need to experiment with him.

I've been playing baraka/scorpion since I started the game and I definitely think scorpion works a harder than he does overall just because it's harder to open someone up when everyone knows literally every single one of his tricks so you really gotta capitalize on the solid footsies he has and whiff punishing absolutely everything you can (misery+sin blade is his best variation easily). Baraka can kinda dominate once he gets those plus frames and frame traps going along with his heavy consistent damage. A problem I've only really faced with him is against characters who can easily keep him out like most of the girl ninjas, robocop, and cassie

Idk about you Waz, but I think Johnny Cage is perfect where he is at. I like his completely and I also like his combo starters.

I have a better idea. Make a tier list video just like this, (with 200iq to braindead), but your vote should be based on how hard it is to do the highest possible damage combo with that charracter (without fatal blow). No high level players references, just a casual "what kombatant reqires the most brain power to extract their full potential kombo"

This is the perfect tier list, I must say! 👌🏻✨ But, in my opinion, Scorpion should be in KINDA EASY tier 👀😅

One of my favorite Characthers is Sheeva, she is my main! but people thinks she only have the Stomp But no! She has great combos and other moves! I love to play as sheeva is very fun!

I HATE playing her. I honestly have a lot of fun seeing her combos and getting caught up in her mixups. But I just hate playing her because whenever a Sheeva starts to lose, they just spam air stomp and that one where she can hit you when you down block... And then just proceed to just randomly switch between the two.

For me sindel is an easy carry until high level with her first variation (hair kut can easily get u 35%+ combos consistently and a long range quick overhead that can be used in combos) but Id say her 2nd variation actually takes a lot of skill since it has one of, if not the hardest combo in the game and her abilities arent ez carries lol. Her F4 def needs to be nerfed tho

I prefer Hydroplane with Rain. It lets him more easily punish gaps, which is huge for Rain since his punishment is weak besides [133, Geyser Palm]. The 50/50 with Tidal Wave can be fuzzy guarded and the move screws up Rain’s meter. Rain is already heavily reliant on Offensive Meter and wants to keep at least 1 stock for AMP Katar Toss. The Hydroplane cancel using Defensive Meter is a major relief for Rain.

Kitana is definitely 200IQ you tweakin 💀✋

Jade is easy if you want to work with zoning only. Rush down, definitely not no skill. She has an easy flawless gap in her B4343, and crazy gaps in her deadly assassin. Her only only really juggle without an KB F2 is super reactable and easily punished with a full combo. An scorpion in “kinda smart”? Lmao ohhhhkaaaayyyyyy 🙄

I would definitely put Shang Tsung higher on the tier list. You need kind of a lot of matchup knowledge for Soul Steal, and you also need to know how to play your opponent’s character

All three of my mains were in the kinda smart category, life is good (Scorpion, Jax, Johnny Cage)

He’s definitely a weird one, I think maybe more than most other characters he’s really defined by 1. The matchup and 2. The abilities you picked and 3. The interplay between those. I think he’s a character where if you ahead of time how someone’s going to play their character, and you’re really familiar with his best abilities, it’s possible to “counterpick” an opponent with his abilities (to the point you’re almost playing another character) more so than most other characters except maybe Shang Tsung and Jade. Compare to like Kung Lao, Shao Kahn, Jax, etc where the abilities complement the base moveset and maybe add some new mixups or gimmicks or more damage but ultimately don’t really change your gameplan as a whole, imo. (Also, I feel like just by extending the horizontal hurtbox on his back 3 like 30% more he’d be like two tiers higher and you could be a lot more brain dead with him. His fastest mid being so stubby is imo the most underconsidered factor that kind of gimps him a little.)

Jacqui at least should be in the kinda easy tier, I don’t see anybody picking the character up and doing those moves within the first 2 minutes of training. Her more damaging combos and mixups take execution

I Main jax and He has indeed a few really Bad Match ups unfortunately. These zoning chars give him Bad Times. But its good To See that you have Kind of a similar opinion. And by the way...only a Bad jax mashes all the god damn time

Watching this after a year, i dont know if you will read this comment or not but this list its done right (but also not really), ranking easiest/hardest characters its hard because you have to look up at 2 things, how hard they are to pick up and how hard they are to master, main reason why fujin its hard its because he is hard to pick up really, not that hard to master once you get going. Scorpion on the other hand its the opposite, he is super easy to pick up with easy strings and pretty good variations from the get-go, multiple kustom choices, but once you get to master him you have to put in some work in high level games (but again, he's suuuper easy and appealing for new players on casual level play)

Honestly I know this is the hottest of hot takes but I’m not convinced Sheeva is actually that far from Rambo. Maybe I’m just bad with her, but stomp was clearly meant to be a huge part of her gameplan and basically making it trash (which I mean I’m glad about lol, it kinda ruined the game for a minute) gimped her neutral in a way that was satisfying at the time but hasn’t really been addressed and equalized since then.

She has some pretty decent mixups with the low/high grab variation but yeah definitely is a bit harder with her, I think she's still kinda simple but to make it work you have to make so many reads to win haha, DONT BRING BACK STOMP THO.

@@Wazminator Agree, Goro stomp was really fun in MKX and not busted but neutral in general was so different in that game that I’m not sure how they could bring it back such that it would have an similar/equivalent function and not be busted. Tbh I’m not sure how they could make her feel really competitive without stomp (for me!) without basically totally redoing her normals. I agree though that you can be a little brain dead with her mixups. I just think she really struggles against those characters that aren’t quite rushdown and aren’t quite hard keepaway, ie “footsies characters” like Jade, Spawn and Kollector and from there when you can play other characters in a similar fashion imo it’s not that hard to keep her in a place where she really can’t do much.

Jade and Sub in the same "No Skill" tier… and Kung Lao is kinda easy? 😭 it's confirmed, Waz hates Sub lol.

@@ataru4646 actually he kinda is though lol. Scorpion is one of the few characters that’s heavily influenced by who’s playing him. Meaning if you try to scrub your way with scorpion, at mid-high levels you’ll get killed more than not. If you find yourself really struggling with scorpion than definitely lab him. Other than that it’s the player (or internet😤) that’s really beating you.

@@jakedasnake0764 yeah right. No hard mix-ups, no ways to open people up. Relies heavily on stagger game which is slow af. She might do well in lower elos because people dont know how to play against her, but struggles a lot in masters+

I definitely had to think more playing as katana then I did with fujin. But she is an easy character once you finally commit her long ass combos to memory. I think gears is the character that needs the most thought. Maybe I just suck with him but I just never know how and when to do anything he does

Would Jacqui be moved up on this list if you’re using a variation without that leaping move? Cause without that, I think she’s quite difficult to get in and do the work

I think Jacqui is pretty hard to play with...

How does Jacqui land in no skill? I ended up trying to main her and it's like everyone knows her strings, she doesn't have many combo's with varying hit types and patience puts you in bad situations at times.

I thought noob would be in kinda smart. He has no mix ups and has rely on counters or punishes to get combos going. Although I can see where u are coming from since his b1 1+3 is pretty strong and his pokes are pretty godly. I don't like to poke too much with noob I just play him for the high combo dmg and his the way he looks

Personally as someone who was an Erron main, I always considered him easy to play, most of the things he does to catch you are 50/50s, same with Jax.

Every in MK11 is easy to learn/play imo. Some characters are harder/easier than others tho.

As a Erron main, it’s so fucking hard against Jade, centurion and the mirror for me. But I use him because he’s easily the dopest looking character they ever made

Spot on. I only disagree with Jax. From what I've seen I don't think he is a big brain character. Mash, mash, mash, KB... mash, mash mash, throw, KB...

All he has are mids and overheads .and all his kbs are from arm heat. If you getting mashed then you suck

5:06 that fact that your basing the character off of one move that puts you in a really bad position if you don’t mean to input it makes me kinda angry since spawn is so easily punishable

Scorpions only hard at top level because of how familiar his move set is he’s the only character that wins doing things you EXPECT you just couldn’t stop for 2 rounds straight.
