I came to this video because I read the first chapter again and it seemed so fishy to me how Mikasa goes "See you later, Eren" in the first Panel before he wakes up in tears from his dream. Then he asks her how her hair has gotten so long. Eren wakes up under a tree that has 9 branches, like the 9 titans, and immediately flips out at Hannes to prepare for a Titan attack, as if he knew something was coming. Isayama is a genius.

Mikasa is the one that keeps reseting the timeloop cuz she can't accept Eren's death in each timelines (she acted selfishly both in her ova and chapter 138 dream part) but not this current timleline she decides to love him selflessly and let him be free of this hell of going through endless loop.Basically Eren's version of freedom is actually breaking out of timeloop/death/ending curse of Ymir. Thats why he is so obsessed with freedom Mikasa had that vision in chapter 138 of the previous timeline since she is so close to breaking the time loop. Eren has to be be killed by Mikasa through selfless love the person whom he cares the most about. Basically its the sacrifce both him and Mikasa have to pay in order to save the world. It also makes Mikasa's crazy over protectiveness make sense, her love for him and her subconsciously knowing how many times she has had to watch Eren die in previous timeloops only for her to jump in the next time loop with him in order to save him not realizing that Eren's death is inevitable and by loving him selfishly neither of them can be free from this time loop. It also makes Eren's cold attitude towards Mikasa in the current timeline make sense (Eren is always trying to push Mikasa away) He either subconsciously or fully knows (I believe he fully knows that after touching Historia's hand and knowing the future) that she is his weakness (a temptation for a peaceful where he can be with her, forever stuck in a timeloop where he can never break free from it) and in order to succeed in breaking the time loop/curse of Ymir he has to push her away. They are forbidden lovers Ik we are lead to believe that Eren or Ymir is the one controlling the time-loop but Isayama is deceiving us while hiding the truth in plain sight. He has said many times that Eren is a slave to the story. do u actually believe that attack titan Eren someone who could not make free choices because he had to follow his visions of the future the most free person in the manga? His rib titan form looks like as if he is caged while Isayama drew Falco flying behind Mikasa to represent wings of freedom showing her that she is one truly being free to alter the future and decide to end the time loop once and for all. ( also falco is another symbol of freedom as he is literally a bird lol the second simp and in love character besides Mikasa) Eren's freedom is his selfless love for Mikasa and Mikasa's selfless love for Eren is her freedom

@@mandymaclean1055When you have the attack titan you see glimpses of the future. Even if he didn’t know he surely realized when adult eren talked him into murdering the royal family, that he’s just a puppet along with everyone else in erens plan for world destruction.

The test isn't that complicated The test:

In the first chapter when Eren woke up crying, I feel like that was current Eren failing to end the cycle and transferring himself back to his past self somehow. Maybe he was unconsciously crying because the future Eren was sad that he failed and had to start over. But now, having failed before, he now knows what to expect and how to change the future. Also, Eren tells Mikasa that her hair got longer after he wakes up. Keep in mind, In the current chapters, she has short hair. Why would he remember her having short hair in this period of time if she hasn’t cut it yet? My guess is that all this already happened ATLEAST once, but he failed so it reset. And when it did, past Eren (who’s already lived through all this before) must’ve forgot everything, thinking it was all just a dream. But it really happened and future Eren, having failed once, started over, leaving behind clues and memories and also influencing himself and others using his Titan powers and knowledge of the future that he’s already lived through so that he can eventually end the cycle. Basically trail and error. But idk. Every new chapter that comes out totally changes everything we thought we knew and opens up so many more possible outcomes, so I don’t even think my own prediction holds weight. Damn Isayama.

I think the first episode is a plothole/loose-end the author forgot about or had already completed before he had the time thing planned out. Eren wasnt a shifter in the first episode.

Eren remembering everything or not T__T but for the sake of it, I think he would wake up under that big tree before everything crying and not knowing why while Mikasa is hovering over him! yea it completely debunks this theory but the question here is, who created the earth devil persona, and was it Eren so he could remove suspicion off him?

My theory is somewhat similar to the timeloop. Yes, Eren sleeping was always the beginning, they kept saying that this world is a living hell like x1000 times . So Eren is in hell, in a time loop.

Maybe it’s not exactly a time loop but what they are looking for is a happy ending. If you see Eren’s dream, Levi, Mikasa, Armin, they are all dead hanging on the cords of 3DMG. Maybe that was just another timeline another failed attempt of a happy ending, a way to stop their suffering. With their titan powers, maybe Eren finds a way to go back in time and because the attack titan is connected to the past titan shifters he could easily go back to his past and maybe just maybe when he went back to was the time he was sleeping in a field with tears in his eyes or to us the first episode. Maybe the last time his life was peaceful before everything changed.

Interesting theory. Just one little side note. You said Kruger knew about Mikasa and Armin because he saw Eren's memories. But I think it was future Grisha's memories he saw. Grisha is the one who says that line "In order to save Mikasa, Armin, and everyone", when injecting Eren with spinal fluid.

But Grisha asked Kruger "Mikasa? Armin? Who are those?" and Kruger answered "Who knows...who knows *whose* memories these are?" So it indicates that Kruger didn't know the future titanshifter, thus it's likely Eren because Kruger already knew who Grisha was.

@@xxhardedxx4226 Well there seems to be two problems with it being Eren. Eren didn't say those words, but only thought of his dad saying them. And aside from when they used the power of the coordinate in chapter 121 where they could move around freely inside the memories and affect them, whenever Eren has viewed someone's memories before that, it seems like he's been seeing it through the eyes of the other person. When Grisha was crying over Dinah, the camera panned to Eren's face looking exactly the same and crying, saying the same thing. When he saw Frieda's memories, he appeared to be looking at himself in the mirror through her eyes, as she looked surprised to see her reflection. So if Kruger saw the moment when Grisha said those words through Grisha's eyes, he would have been looking at a young Eren, and not knowing who that is.

The attack titan always have strived for freedom, because it was always canon that shifters pass on memories and with them ideologies. Additionaly it makes sense for a independent shifter to give his titan to someone with similar goals, freedom in case of the attack titan. The part where Grisha saw some vague visions about the future and Eren saw them in his memories does not require time travel. @@mightdai7489

i found a theory about the "2000 years" thing about a year ago on reddit. fortunately i have it saved on my notes so here it is; The best theory about it? Lemme drop some math on you. 145 Eldian Emperors. Each reigned for 13 years. 145 X 13 = 1885. 102 years of peaceful Walled life before the Founding Titan was stolen and passed to Eren Jaeger. 1885 + 102 = 1987. Eren has had the Founding Titan for 9 years. 1987 + 9 = 1996. Eren has 4 years left to live before he succumbs to the Curse. 1996 + 4 = 2000. so like the time loop is going to reset after eren's time runs out? idk.

This is actually true on so many levels The series is constantly referring to the past and future. We already know that Ymir just stumbled upon the Titan powers, so the earth devil story is not THE ORIGIN of the Titans, but, if Eren gathers the Titans and becomes the earth devil all the parallels will be drawn History may indeed repeat itself down to the smallest details. They talked about how the eldian empire crushed civilizations and delayed the development of mankind itself, and with the rumbling Eren is doing the exact same thing. We have already seen small copies of the past with Historia and Ymir, one he didn't mention being how pregnant Historia looks the same as pregnant Ymir. If Eren's power can effect the past and future, rumors about the fake Earth devil could have started all that time ago because of a later attack Titan possessor, or at least a powerful one. The possession of the Titans is what motivated Ymir to follow Eren's plan, the attack Titan power is known for wanting to be free and stuff like that, which is the basic summary of Eren. Since Ymir had all the powers she could be the same, causing when Eren said, "your no slave, nor a god, you are just a person." Ymir instantly went along with him showing that she did not want to be a slave or a god but just didn't have the courage to stop all of it. And since Eren is the one who convinced her, she would eventually help him get all the powers, causing him to become the Earth devil. The time loop will be the tragic ending of attack on titan. I am 100% sure. There are many past-present parallels which I didn't say but you get it. Manga readers you better leave a damn like.

maybe it will end up like this. if eren is concious in the (earth devil form) if atleast he has access to his memory as eren. he'll know that him feeding ymir (historia's son/daughter) will do no good. and the tragic events will be felt again and again. Besides eren will not accomplished his dream of freedom if he feed himself to historia. or historia's daughter. so in conclusion. eren will get killed. by whom? we don't know yet. but if he will die with all the power of titan shifters in him. the freedom he seeks will be accomplished. it's still yragic though like the author said. it will be tragic. but yeah. dying in front of the world keeping the burden to himself. is what we might see.

I like to think that the "earth devil" contract concept is just talking about Ymir falling through the ground under that tree and finding the hallucigenia (or what would be known as the earth devil) and it merging with her spine. It obviously wasn't a 'contract', but because it gave her the ability to use the titan powers, and due to propaganda, the most popular reasoning behind her being a shifter would've been making a deal with the devil

Can I just point out how Eren's bloodline specifically is the only line to have pointed ears? Out of the 3 Attack titans we've seen, Eren and Grisha are the only out of the 3 to have pointed ears. Then there's the beast titan too. Zeke's also has pointed ears. Everyone related to Grisha has had them, and nobody else has, and why is that? Idfk that's why I'm just pointing it out.

It's a really fascinating and convincing theory and i'm 99% convinced that's what's gonna happen... The other 1% is becaise isayama is unpredictable and Eren might order him to change that

the theory has a lot of problems, i'd give it a 10% chance, mainly because of the Yrmir fact, about how historia may name her daughter Yrmir

@@gogo-qz3vt true also even tho this theory could explain why did the Yrmir titan power split into 9 after she died, it doesn't explain why the royal blood is a thing, Yrmir's blood is the origin of royal blood, because she was the first to gain access to the titan powers, but if eren gave her that power, then eren should also have royal blood, and this contradicts what we already know about eren this could be explained maybe by ''when u get all 9 titan powers u get royal blood'' but it doesn't really make sense when u think about it

@@Dee-uz3rb royal blood, is the blood of Yrmir, but her blood only been considered royal because of two things, she was the first titan, and she had all titan powers so assuming that only one of these things need to be done for someone's blood to be considered royal, then if eren got all titan powers his blood will just instantly be considered royal by the titan powers, or the paths, or Yrmir herself
