'The Earth Above' is on display until 27 September as part of 'The Fire Within' exhibition at Deakin's Geelong Waterfront Campus. Deakin Motion Lab uses virtual technologies to create an immersive, 360-degree planetarium show, without the need for a physical planetarium dome and projection system. “The Earth Above: a deep time view of Australia’s epic history” explores Australia’s last 140,000 years, incorporating both scientific and traditional Indigenous knowledges. This project is a collaborative effort between the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Australian Biodiversity and Heritage, and Deakin University’s Motion Lab.
