Our next mythos series is in the works, planned for the lead-up to Halloween. It's a little more ambitious, and will consist almost entirely of NEW mythos stories. Thanks for your ongoing support, ladies and gents. Ian & Jen

I’m very happy you like the illustration. I had an absolute blast doing all of these.
I add a comment for the algorithm, and may write one more when I've heard the story.

It was in fact very good; I must listen to the other Pendragon stories aswell. I was perhaps unduly sceptical because I found the name Pendragon a bit wussy.😂
I am enjoying this author's works so much. As a New Englander, it is satisfying to hear the familiar names of families and places, and the accurate descriptions of land and people.

I,m enjoying these too. Being a Limey I know very little of the the locations. Only the beautiful descriptions from H.P. Lovecraft. I really enjoyed his“The Strange High House in the Mist“ and l loved one of the comments from someone that their teacher wrote down the first paragraph and read it to his class as an example of how beautiful the English language can be regardless of genre. It was set at Kingsport Mass. With this story l looked up Sabbathday because the author used it in the previous story. I found out that it’s the name of a Lake in Maine and the last home of the Shakers , The Sabbathday Centre. I learn much from these stories.

Excellent telling. Thank you Mr. Gordon and Horror Babble.
I've been tied up in other spheres of KZread for some time, but I wanted to take a moment to say thank you again, Ian & Jen. Your channel is a much welcomed reprieve from the struggles of daily life, and has been a boon in mine. So much so, that I shill for you every chance I get. Much appreciated, sincerely.

Sometimes I stay late after my regular hours to finish on work. Your stories keep me company and make it more bearable.
This series has been superb. Perfectly assembled and recorded.😊🎉
I have found myself turning your channel on in the morning before work. It is a welcome reprieve from politics or how to videos. Thank you, your work is well done. The narrations are flawless, the stories well chosen. Thanks again.
Another fine reading of a hidden gem of a tale.
I waited until today to binge-listen to all of these so I could end with this one - fantastic thankyou (and a very relaxing day for me!)
These stories have been wonderful, please never stop doing what y’all do. Been watching this channel for damn near 4 years and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon ❤
Many thanks for another outstanding video Ian!🙂👍

I fell asleep to it every night this week and now I've listened to the whole thing. What a great story 😁👏
Really loved this series, hope you keep doing more videos that involve the Cthulhu Mythos, as those kinds are my favorite from yours

This was indeed a magnificent story. It was crrafted well and narrated grandly. The tale was intriguing and suspenseful. Thank you very much. Have a splendid Sunday 💖🌟🤗
Five: Resting atop the old packing crate that contained his still dead friend's delinquent volumes there were a number of other papers and treatises, arcane, esoteric and proscribed all of them heavily annotated and book-marked; several lay open at certain specific passages. These books belonged to Randolph Carter.
A great story artfully narrated. Don't stop 🛑 the cool content.
A great story and narration! I really liked this series and think it fits well into the "fringe." I absolutely love the picture in the background for this one. Fantastic job, reminiscent of old New England. Thanks for bringing us this great series. I cannot wait for the next series you release!
Holy Smokes! What a an amazing story !
Can't wait for this one ❤
A most excellent tale and a superb narration as usual Ian. Thanks for posting this one.
The time has come….😢 “FRINGES OF THE MYTHOS”, The final chapter in our Journey….and what a frightfully delightful journey it has been 🖤 Until the next series, I bid you adieu (well… that is until your next video) 😅
Great story! It was cool that he described the real phenomenon of Will-o'-the-wisps. There's a marsh near me that pumps them out pretty regularly. Anaerobic bacteria creates phosphine which combusts immediately upon contact with air, naturally the fuel that keeps them going is methane.

The new series is really outstanding, looking forward to each new story, great to have at bedtime🤙
superb series
excellent as always
As a native of dunstable uk, i had considered writing a “dunstable horror “ , especially given its close to the Aylesbury pike… so amused to find one already exists.
An excellent story to end whats been a wonderful series. Really just absolute top, top notch storytelling. Thanks to everyone involved in the production.
Amazing tale 👍 Thank you for the beautiful narration 🙂❤️
I am going to get a volume of Pope and keep it with me at all times. I can read it in times of distress and supernatural happenings to calm me down.

Listening from the ukwales❤
What is it with these horror authors and the attachment to the prefix Dun?! Whether it be the author writing only of the Massachusetts town or paying homage to HPL the inclusion is a nice touch. Lovely narration and story as always.
I found this series very entertaining.
Investigating an Indian burial ground? That’s sure to turn out well.
Excellent yarn, i wonder who the writer really was? Potentially a ‘legitimate’ writer taking a paycheck writing weird fiction? I legitimately enjoyed the tale and rendition. Thank you Ian!

Yes l,m wondering that too. The patronising attitudes towards race and the cruel treatment of women remind me of Lovecraft and RE Howard but l don’t think it was them having a day off.l had convinced myself it was C.Hall. Thompson because of a few names through the stories but sometimes the styles are so different……l,m gonna listen again and think again.

Not so certain this qualifies as a Mythos tale. Revenge of a long , not quite dead Shaman, most certainly. Great tale, just not seeing the Cosmic.

Lesson of the day: Dont go digging around in the graves of people who died of smallpox. Par for course, i guess, given the guy worked for the Brutish Museum... Just show up and dig, steal anything not nailed down and leave before anyone finds out.

the real dunstable horror is Bill Cosby
Smh the narrator missed his shot with a cool goth girl 🙄
It really *is* Lovecraftian as hell, right down to the jarring racism and condescending classism.
Hey I found a new spooky story channel. Subbed! Also anybody ever told you that you sound like the internet historian? Lol. I had to check and make sure it wasn't him taking the piss with a channel I didn't know about.
