This video is about The Dunes Safari & Camping site in Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah, and it’s one of the best places you can go to if you wish to take a break from the bustling metropolis to experience the magic of the desert.
The Dunes Camping & Safari RAK is 28 km from the centre of Ras al Khaimah.
The nearest airport is Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, which is 11 km / 25 minutes’ drive from here.
Al Hamra Mall is 18 km while Al Manar Mall is 34 km from the property.
Check-in at The Dunes Camping & Safari RAK is from 16:00, and check-out is until 10:00. It’s therefore advisable to book only one night as there’s usually nothing much going on between 10.00 and 16.00. The ACs are usually switched off at around 10.00 and so if you’re staying for more than a night, you’d need to keep yourself busy with other activities outside the camp site during that time.
It’s important to note that the road from the main road to the property requires a good SUV / 4x4 as it’s not good. Hope that gets fixed soon.
Also finding this place on google maps might be a bit tricky since it’s in the middle of nowhere. You can however request the stuff to send you the location through WhatsApp.
Please note that there is no WIFI/internet access. You can however use your data bundles though the connection might not be perfect.
The staff members are very friendly, kind, attentive and accommodating, the place is clean and there’s lots of entertainment in the evening/night.
